I think that at the beginning of the game, you'll be able to choose your character's species between Inklings and Octolings, and whoever you choose, that species will be the new Agent.

I want Splatoon 3 to go *_full_* Mad Max, I'm talking; the tutorial is your inkling/octoling wandering through the desert and gets attacked by some salminoids; Pearl is the chaos queen of what remains of Inkopolis square; the salminoids are constantly trying to kill everything and sometimes showup as a neutral party during ranked battles; The Octarian army has split it self in half where one side follows Octavio and uses purple ink and another side follows a "mysterious leader" and uses the red ink from octo expansion; the hero mode is the player working for the "mysterious new" Octarian army to reconquer the entire city of Inkopolis and you fight *AGENTS* enlisted by pearl to stop you; I need to stop because I hyped myself too much...
I don't think it will go that way but still awesome idea. it probably would be just riots without police or like Spain in the 1930s without a central goverment and two main army's fighting for power.
Here's what I think will happen: A while after the final fest, Pearl mysteriously vanishes (I know, super original) and it's not by Octavio because he's still trapped in his snow globe. It later turns out, it is a group of chaos extremists unhappy that the only thing Pearl was changing was the music in Off the Hook. They mind control Pearl, and make her bring total disorder to Inkopolis. Now, the entire Squidbeak Splatoon, along with Marina (who becomes Agent 5) and the player (who becomes Agent 6), must find and stop these extremists. When you first start up the game, everything looks normal until later on in the first news segment, where Inkopolis then becomes a wasteland. As you complete each world in single player, Inkopolis becomes better looking until you defeat the final boss and have Pearl (who is no longer mind controlled) change everything back to the way it was. Along the way, you'll recieve some help from characters like Octavio, and in some levels one of the agents may even join you.
This was the most stress free splatfest I ever played. I was on team order and I won 43 out of my 45 games, two 100x battles and 5 10x battles. Yet we lost 3-0! I couldnt believe it, but It was fun not being so darn frustrated this time.
I fought on Team Order, and seeing how Splatoon 3 seems to have been affected by Team Chaos’ ultimate victory it makes me wonder what would have happened if Order won?? (I will always remember how bomb I was back then bro like I was on a roll 😝💪 unfortunately it didn’t seem to give us a win but I remember the results were not too far apart)
My Splatoon theory: After the Splatfest, Pearl started to get more and more crazy, and chaotic. At some point, Pearl got so Chaotic and kicked out team Order. Tartar then finds team Order. And makes them Sanitized. Pearl finds out and REGRETS. She then sends a inkling to save them. (Who will be known as Agent 5)

I would love a double story in splat 3. following two stories The inkling hero and octoling hero the inkling will go againts salmonids And octoling againts octavio. I will focus on the latter cuz i like the idea of the octoling facing octavio and trying to turning him good cuz a octoling would be the only one who could turning him good but octavio fakes being good and attacks him/her at the worst moment

However, there is hope.... partnering with Grizzco Industries, Squidbeak Splatoon are determined to take back Inkopolis. Thus, began the Great Turf War 2. With the Leaders; Cap'n Cuttlefish and Mr. Grizz, Agents 1 & 2 (Callie and Marie of the Squid Sisters), Sheldon, Judd and Lil' Judd, Agent 7 (Marina of Off the Hook), and Agents 3, 4, 8, and their new partner; Agent 5. They'll do whatever it takes to bring back the light and free the enslaved Inklings and Octolings. You will play either as Agents 3, 4, 5, and 8... or better yet... gather three friends of yours to win. Can you save them all?

My headcanon is that my female Inkling character in Splatoon 3 whom I will name Luna did not compete in the final Splatfest because she never bought into Pearl and Marina's recruitment speeches and believed that no matter who won this won't end well for the innocent Inklings, and Octolings, and now views the now lawless post-Splatpocalyptic Splatlands now being ran by various gangs of bandits, and raiders who are terrorizing the innocents who don't live within the walls of Splatsville as her predicted fear of what could happen come true and so now she basically has become a teenage female humanoid squid version of Kenshiro, and uses her wits, and weapons including her iconic Splatbow and Ink Arrows and her will to do whatever is necessary even if means using argued villainous tactics to protect herself, Little Buddy, her allies, and the innocent from various threats including the roaming bands of raiders/bandits and corrupt officials stalking the Splatlands and living in Splatsville.
I'm not sure, to be honest. The Splatoon devs like to throw us off guard a lot - we all expected Pearl Vs. Marina, and look what happened. I'm more curious if Team Chaos will end up being good or evil, and if all the characters depicted in the artwork will actually play a role in the story. Either way, whatever we get, I'm sure Sploon the Third will be a blast to play and I can't wait!

Something that I found interesting about team chaos was the fact that Lil Jud is literally chewing on one of Octavio’s tentacles. Not only is that literally the most adorable thing in the entire world I guess that confirms the fact that he is evil although that’s nothing new.

In a world, where Inklings and Octolings are running and screaming for their lives and going into hiding for safety. In Inkopolis... it's filled with ramped salmonids and octarians. They prey on the innocence and kill on sight. This world will be nothing, but a hopeless wasteland of fear. Unknown of who's leading these horrid beasts, but rumor has it that Pearl could be at the enemy HQ; captured... or worse enslaved and a brain filled with madness.
The Inklings and Octolings can never go back to Inkopolis because of the danger. So, they hang out a rebellion themed town filled with Inkopolis residents to find clothes and have sport Turf Wars. However, there is hope.... partnering with Grizzco Industries, Squidbeak Splatoon are determined to take back Inkopolis. Thus, began the Great Turf War 2.
With the Leaders; Cap'n Cuttlefish and Mr. Grizz,
Agents 1 & 2 (Callie and Marie of the Squid Sisters),
Sheldon,
Judd and Lil' Judd,
Agent 7 (Marina of Off the Hook),
and Agents 3, 4, 8, and their new partner; Agent 5.
They'll do whatever it takes to bring back the light and free the enslaved Inklings and Octolings. You will play either as Agents 3, 4, 5, and 8... or better yet... gather three friends of yours to win.

What I’m predicting inner agent 4 as 4 is on chaos and the single player is agent 8 and you have to save “fight” agent 4 to get freedom from the land and then you are free from both sides

Now that splatoon 3 has been announced team order will probably stay at inkoplas square and if there is doc it will probably be us saving hypnotized people (coming for the "if team order won " video ) as we go back to inkoplas but that's just a theory A SPLAT THEORY

I was on Chaos
My headcanon is that my female Inkling character in Splatoon 3 whom I will name Luna did not compete in the final Splatfest because she never bought into Pearl and Marina's recruitment speeches and believed that no matter who won this won't end well for the innocent Inklings, and Octolings, and now views the now lawless post-Splatpocalyptic Splatlands now being ran by various gangs of bandits, and raiders who are terrorizing the innocents who don't live within the walls of Splatsville as her predicted fear of what could happen come true and so now she basically has become a teenage female humanoid squid version of Kenshiro, and uses her wits, and weapons including her iconic Splatbow and Ink Arrows and her will to do whatever is necessary even if means using argued villainous tactics to protect herself, Little Buddy, her allies, and the innocent from various threats including the roaming bands of raiders/bandits and corrupt officials stalking the Splatlands and living in Splatsville.
I'm not sure, to be honest. The Splatoon devs like to throw us off guard a lot - we all expected Pearl Vs. Marina, and look what happened.
I'm more curious if Team Chaos will end up being good or evil, and if all the characters depicted in the artwork will actually play a role in the story.
Either way, whatever we get, I'm sure Sploon the Third will be a blast to play and I can't wait!

Something that I found interesting about team chaos was the fact that Lil Jud is literally chewing on one of Octavio’s tentacles. Not only is that literally the most adorable thing in the entire world I guess that confirms the fact that he is evil although that’s nothing new.
