We need to have a difficult conversation about Glitch Productions...well, difficult if you're a hater! As to be expected, the more Glitch grows as a studio, the more pessimistic people seem to be about it. But like it or not, they're putting in the MOST work to fix animation's reputation in the mainstream with their shows like The Amazing Digital Circus, Knights of Guinevere, The Gaslight District, their partnership with Lackadaisy and the upcoming pilot GAMEOVERSE! Let's talk about it!

They literally said they are focusing on finishing digital circus first. They have a timeline. The word of the day is "patience"
Impatience is a sin, and should be treated as such. Time is only important when something is scheduled to happen at a certain point of it, and yet some people use it as an excuse for acting in abhorrent ways.
@JenyaFio I agree with what you're saying, but the random religious stuff with "impatience is a sin and it should be treated as such" is pretty annoying considering not everyone believes in "sin."
@KemoniAnimations Except what I'm trying to say has nothing to do with religion in any way.
@JenyaFio “Impatience is a sin”
@KemoniAnimations If you think the word "sin" is purely religious and can't be used in unrelated contexts, then you clearly aren't more intelligent than people who refuse to accept scientific facts due to unwavering beliefs in such texts.
"Waiter, my steak is too juicy and my lobster is too buttery."
Bon appetite douchebag!
-stewie griffin.
LiTERALLY
"This year's harvest is too bountiful, what a shame!"
Yep, too many plates to balance.
Oh no I hope it don’t fall!
You pissed in my steak
Lwk depressing that the industry has gotten so bad that when a team is actually just really nice animators, they suspect that it’s “OHH SECRET EVIL MASTERMIND”
Damn shame
And that's very unfortunate, especially for Luke and Kevin
While it's true and I don't think Glitch is evil, in the webcomic scene, there's two examples of Glitch-like companies that were originally thought to be great but were secretly evil and imploded in controversy. Recently, the web comic collective HiveWorks, a company that was "for arts by artists" and once had some of the biggest names in the scene was revealed to be horrible to work with and everyone kept quiet for years out of fear. Previously, there was 4 Dimension Entertainment, the publisher that originally published Lackadaisy plus big titles like the Meek; the owners were literally unstable and caused one artist to drop off the face of the earth, abandoning their series with any former artist fearful to talk about it because they don't want the owners to harass them.
Again, not saying that Glitch is like that but when it comes to the indie creation scene, there's a history of a company positioning themselves as the best case to help small creators, get all the big names just to slowly have cracks form in the background.
Closest to “evil” you can get with them is apparently years back, there were stories of one of the brothers treating the staff badly, but to Glitch’s credit, they did apologize and it seems like things have been good with management ever since.
Envy is a terrible sin..
It's becoming all too common in the era of social media, yet there are those who are successful or popular by just being humble and themselves.
Those who are humble last longer than those overly prideful and envious.
Being humble is not the same as being sloth, being humble is the balance between pride and sloth.
When it comes to “They’re only making pilots not full shows” yeah, that’s what a pilot is. They make many and they greenlight a few.
Glitch just so happens to keep getting bangers that are greenlight-able
Fr the point of a pilot is to get feed back
I hope all the pilots get green-lit. I love them all! But I understand it may take a year or 2 before we see any of them come out
They're not just making pilots. They DO continue their series! We just need to wait for some updates! Murder Drones and TADC got to make new episodes for example. We just need to wait patiently for next episodes of KOG, TGD, and Gameoverse
@Max-iq8hiyeah and with smg4 ending a while back they probably need some time to transfer those animators to glitch
@C@ChiknButterke with the Gaslight District. People were talking about how the break neck pace of the pilot wasn’t good, so they’re taking that into consideration for the future.
It annoys me so much when people complain about them being greedy with merch when the shows themselves are LITERALLY FREE
Its just like Ned Flanders once said
"I cant live off good intentions"
Exactly! How would you expect them to make money otherwise?
I don't know how these people expect them to keep going without some form of money. Animation isn't cheap. People love the work of artists but they never want to pay what it's actually worth. 😑
I know. And besides, buying their merch is what helps them fund their shows. I bought a pair of Pomni pajama pants a few months ago and recently I ordered a Pomni plush online.
You know which fandoms merch shouts greed to me....
Hazbin and Helliva.
I swear that there is new merch every single week and yet people conplain about Glitch's merch.
Don't get me wrong I like both shows but the merch just screams greed to me, especially with Amazon already backing them
So basically, if something is liked for too long without any significant controversy, the haters have to create something to be mad about in order to restore balance to the internet
Yeppers 😊
Ah so like the Yin and Yang, one cant exist without the other
Some people just take hating things as a personality trait. Like hipsters.
"balanced as all things should be"
..... makes sense I guess
Kinda crazy people are this worried about KOG not getting picked up.
Sweetheart, they spent the last year building up a 2-D animation team and they’re selling merch for the show at hot topic. It’s gonna happen
I don’t doubt it will be picked up, though I understand the concern.
It was a small bit overhyped imo, like how 99% of the episode’s world building was dedicated to bashing Disney rather than developing the plot/lore, or how the action scenes were cut unnecessarily short. Don’t get me wrong, I love bashing Disney as much as the next guy, but story-wise it can’t be the only thing you focus on. And the action was the other main selling point for me, only for them to quickly move on or talk it out, or end it completely offscreen. The pilot definitely has its flaws.
@BlueSoulGamer I’m more so talking about the success of the pilot overall and how people believe the despite the pilot getting 14 million views it’s considered a bomb. I’m sure there’s some valid concerns with the pilot but you can’t deny that it has garnered a massive fan base mostly thanks to the talent attached to it. Regardless of any issues with the writing, there is still a huge group of people that wants to see more.
I also get the impression that Glitch actually *wants* these shows to be released. They're almost looking for excuses to greenlight them, in contrast to the big studios.
As if this timestamp today, KOG was greenlit! 😁🎉
Well, two weeks later, it's officially greenlit!
it's so hard to believe that this all started with a Mario 64 skit
And in the end, the cake wasn't a lie.
Mario gonna do something very illegal
@Afanof1love the angry birds epic pfp. My fav game of the franchise for sure, too bad they cut support.
MSG4✅
How far the animations on RUclips has gone.
I feel like anyone who has a problem with the pilots needs to... just wait?
Welcome to the internet age, where culture moves at the speed of light and everybody's impatient about literally ANYTHING.
That explains the attention spans...
@RJS2003 the fact that new memes are becoming popular and old ones are becoming irrelevant every like, 2 weeks, definitely proves your point
EXACTLY! Like bruh wtf do they expect?!
@RJS2003 that DOES explain the attention spans. Some of us had attention deficit *before* it was cool
@RJS2003 apathy’s a tragedy and Boredom is a crime
“Why are people turning on Glitch Productions?”
For no good reason, that’s why
I don't see the problem,I love that we're getting lots of pilot episodes,it gives us a chance to see what's in store for the future seasons
@Wokeman-l9cwhat?
@Wokeman-l9c Are you okay? Do you need your bottle of milk?
@Wokeman-l9clol
@eyekonicrinka I think it's a joke account. Or at least I hope so, since the name of the account is Wokeman
@Entrée2Thousandoh okay 👍
Me sitting here, an assistant editor in Los Angeles, completely used to the idea that an "indie" production can have tens of millions of dollars for a budget.
Animation twitter: "if its not done entirely by two people with nothing but a shoelace, toilet paper, and a used syringe from a dumpster, its not indie!"
Yup
Leave it to Twitter to invent indie elitism I guess lol.
@RJS2003 this is why we stay away from it
Times like these I like to remind people that the first TMNT movie was the highest grossing indie movie for a while.
Well yeah it's not indie lol but that doesn't mean the shows aren't bad just because of that
People these days just hate for the sake of hating
Hating on something popular is always been a thing for centuries
can people stop brushing off admittedly silly criticisms as "haters just hating"
Why do haters never hate hating though hmm
If glitch never went woke nobody would hate them
@basedAIman What do you mean by that?
Alternate title: Why are chronically online pessimists turning on Glitch Productions for no reason at all?
Problem of Glitch Production is they monetizing on the ppl on the spectrum which then ruining whole internet for everyone else. The art community is infested with them and i have to manually block anyone with Pomni character as their pfp with their bad internet take on Twitter. Let Glitch Production shutdown already, i'm tired of the annoying fans.
Let me guess. All of these complaints come from Twitter.
Wouldn't be the Internet if otherwise.
Twitter is not a place for real people
I don't mind that they're being successful. SMG4 and his brother and team are giving people the chance to create shows on their terms.
Murder Drones, The Gaslight District, and Knights of Guinevere should be deleted! For young kids' safety!
smg4 stopped uploading a month before the new year...
@ShaydlyCat Murder Drones, The Gaslight District, and Knights of Guinevere should be deleted! For young kids' safety!
@OfficialGamingDodo You should delete this before you make a fool out of yourself.
@anisnoor-2011 Murder Drones, The Gaslight District, and Knights of Guinevere should be deleted! For young kids' safety!
I got worried for a sec there lol
Phew not just me
Why, what happened?
We got Cained! 😂
We fell for it!
@netherfreakultima4498 they thought controversy
"is glitch still considered indie?" Yes. They release episodes once in a blue moon. Amazing digital circus is only planned to be like 9 episodes. Knights of Gwenevere and that one zombie show have developed massive fanbases despite only having 1 pilot each.
People don't talk about it but Gltich straight up sacrificed making multi season shows like Meta runner every new show does not have a season 1 label. I think there was probably a point where Murder Drones was a multi season show but they are clearly moving towards more variety over multi season shows for their successes.
I think people got suspicious when murder drones was 8 episodes and tadc is gonna get 9. Doesn’t help that the murder drones ending felt rushed
@anotagoodname personally i want more episodes
@jaw5956 I agree especially in Murder Drones case there was serious harm done to the Shows pacing to fit it into 8 episodes, I don't think it was something forced by Glitch but I feel they only really only take shows that are intended to be 1 season long since they are afraid of a multi season show being unprofitable like Meta Runner even though some of their shows would work better with more episodes and seasons.
@marlom7882 the pacing of the ending is more a Liam Vickers thing, it's not something Glitch forced.
TADC got a ninth episode because the final episode got too big, it wasn't outright favoritism or Glitch forcing Gooseworx to write one more because of its popularity. (Although its popularity did ensure it was something they could afford to do.)
That’s the culture the internet has created for anyone becoming successful : demanding corporate-level output while shaming proper industry success. If you become successful, you’re a fraud, because everyone deserves to be a failure.
So basically, they're hating because they try to compensate for what they lacked. Noted
We just lost the ability to be happy.
I remember when Knights of Guinevere was first revealed everyone was freaking out that Dana was making a show with Glitch everyone was freaking out I love that
Remember when Knights of Geneverse was premiere and people were upset that the ending was a link to their merch for the pilot, the show being a criticism of Captailist and commerism even due their are thousands of anti capitalist stories having Merch tie in and not remembering Glitch isn't Disney and needs money for their free content
Plus, it’s not such a cut and dry story! The merch itself isn’t villainised. The people like Frankie who still love the IP aren’t villainised. What IS villainised is the idea of growth without goal OR loving consumer base. Most of the merch gets recycled or into the ocean. It’s not like glitch is making so much merch people are drowning in it 😢
Glitch is also far more sustainable than Disney. Apparently they donated a bunch of their stock that didn't sell to op-shops in their city. If it was Disney that would all go to landfill.
My complaint is that it ended too soon
@sunfeatherX3 Yeah when I saw the pilot I though it was pretty nuanced and not just a satire of Disney which I was afraid of it being then when I saw all of the reactions to the show and everyone treats it like it was just a satire of Disney made out of spite.
IN a shocking turn of events, animators need to be PAID.
The fact that people forgot that "indie" means "independant" is wild...
4:31 actually it's SMG4, not MSG4
oh no there's msg4 in my food
That misspelling hit be so hard I visibly recoiled, then laughed my ass off lol
MonoSodiumGlutamate4
I literally gave this video a dislike and stopped watching because of that
Metal Gear Solid 4
It’s pretty much a law of nature that the more popular something becomes, the more hate it will get
I think the reason for this whole “drama” with glitch is because with the rise of many Ecelebs getting exposed for…things, we’ve started to develop a sense of paranoia where if something on the internet looks pure of heart, it’s likely hiding a dark secret
So real. I remember when Kinger's VA got accused if things, but that got shot down nearly instantly.
0:05 exactly! THIS studio is bringing BANGERS
I've never liked it when people hate on studios or creators because they get funded by large companies and called sellouts, because so many people don't know what that means, especially because of the double standard people have with it all, because when they fund and make their own projects, they get told that they're "too slow in production," and people drop off and don't continue funding it. On the flip side, if they get the funding that they need and are allowed to stream what they make to large companies (even if they're allowed to do their own things), they're called sellouts and losers and people still hate on them. I love indie art (though there's some that ain't for me) and even if they get a contract to make their stuff come out on bigger channels, they're still doing their best to remain with their original visions and stories. Glitch is still indie for sure
Plus the episodes are free to watch so it’s understandable on why they use merch as a way to support the show
I think the only problem Glitch has is the inevitability that one of their pilots is going to “fail”. Pilots aren’t just episode 1 for a new series. They are a test to see how people react to a new series to see if it has potential to be turned into a real show. While all their pilots have been awesome, there is eventually going to be one that just doesn’t land.
While for a normal studio, a failed pilot is extremely common, but for Glitch it’s going to cause a lot of drama. Even if the show failed, there is a going to be a following of people who loved the show and bought the merch. There’s going to be cross promotion with their other shows such as their merch events and small references in the other shows. So it’s going to cause a lot of backlash when a pilot gets canceled because it just didn’t do well enough (or maybe some issue with the creator).
And then that’s going to have ripple effects for their future pilots. People are going to be hesitant about buying merch since “What if this show also gets canceled?” They might not want to get really invested in the production since “The last time I got invested, it was all for nothing since the show was canceled.”
You see what I’m trying to say? It’s something that Glitch is eventually going to have to deal with and I really hope they can successfully handle that storm
They've already had a failed pilot in the form of that one Meta Runner spin-off... Not that it hit em' too hard since Sunset Paradise and MR season 3 happened later, but still.
Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved before. Maybe shows I liked were cut off before their time but I appreciate it all the same.
@ItsCenrryTH yeah but that one didn't have a huge fanbase, right?
I don't see it going the same way with kog
@thatoneundertalefanaticOh KoG is _definitely_ safe from any of that. A lot of the recent pilots are too popular to not get full series
@ItsCenrryTHwell i definitely hope so
Doesn't matter how good something is,
There's always haters for something, even when their hate is confusing and nonsensical.
I like to call it, "Ascended Indie"
Started as independent small teams, not controlled by big companies, yet grew so big it's become a new thing. Even applies to stuff like FNAF who is now huge and is still considered indie horror
I would not consider FNAF to be Indie Scott oversees stuff but most of the content the books and movies are done by big corporations while the games are done by a stable AA studio I can see it being the same category as Glitch when Scott was still making the games directly but it is not Indie now.
@anotagoodnameas far as ive seen, the general public still classifies it as indie horror
@MIP_Ghost Yeah but the general public is incorrect on this one, FNAF was Indie for a really long time but the games are made by a AA studio it can't be Indie now.
As long as their aren’t any business suits investors taking over the studio. Because that’s what killed Disney
2:52 yo, kevin, wanna explain?
Uhhhh
Kevin: deletes comment*
glitch is out here doing what no one else
mad respect to them
give them time they will deliver
Usually Indie refers to studios or groups that have COMPLETE control over their actions, choices, schedules, and such. They don't have to reply to anyone but themselves. They aren't owned, nor own other studios.
That makes sense
I understand what you're saying, but what you need to remember is that there's a difference between "owned" and "licensed." Sometimes a studio/IP may be owned by certain companies, but the license to show it may fall on another company (example, Vivzie owning the rights to HH and HB, but the production license is with Amazon) so rights to publish may study with the big companies but the animation studio still owns the IP, so they still have the ability to take time between everything instead of steamrolling through the whole process.
@CallMeDraga why do i care? I'm not going against Glitch being indie. I do believe Glitch is indie.
I'm just saying, by that logic, isn't Disney itself indie? I just wanna know where the line is drawn.
@BradleyHall-th2xuno, because they own other studios.
People are just getting flashbacks to the failure and downfall of *Cartoon Hangover* back in the 2010s
7:46 Amphibia reference - The Hardest Thing
Gorillas reference?
@MSMthemedworld IDKW, fix your target's location. 🙄
Fun fact: Erica, lindbeck the voice of Loona from Helluva boss voices Kit in Glitch's upcoming pilot Gameoverse! 😺 🔫
She's Also Emira Blight & Daki.
and the lovely Lady Nagant from MHA
Also she voices blaze the cat
Why are you hating voice actors its not like they write the script
Yaiba, Gon Freecs, Ryuko (Kill la Kill), Akko (little witch academia), Ukyo (Ranma 1/2)
Just to name a few...

"Animation is dying"
Wasn't kpop demon hunters like the biggest studio movie last year.
Projects are barely getting greenlit and when they are it’s reboots or sequels and even then there is barely enough to pass around to employ people. Major studios are giving up on serialized originals and even episodic 6-11 comedy as they don’t know how to get the kids to watch their streaming services over RUclips(this is why indie animation is thriving). Many studios are cutting back on internal development for shows in favor of licensing foreign or indie shows. CN is essentially merged into WB animation and doing a small handful of ip based shows. Nick was killed off by the skydance merger and recently had several shows canned including a Garfield project because skydance wants to buy Warner. Dtva is only greenlighting nostalgic reboots aimed at parents and adults. A lot of the studios are giving up on making 6-11 and 8-14 shows in favor of outsourced preschool shows and a handful of reboots targeting millennial parents and childless adults.
I don’t think people realize that one of the reasons why Kevin and Luke quit smg4 was to work on glitch. That’s why they’re making more pilots now, it’s cause they have more money and time.
My husband shared a similar sentiment, 'why release so many pilots but no more episodes for the series they already have?' and my answer was, 'animation takes a long time.' and I imagine that glitch isn't overworking their team unlike some corpos do - and now understanding that pilots are just that, /pilots/, concepts for /potential/ shows that aren't guaranteed to be greenlit, that sets more realistic expectations. While I have no doubt glitch will be moving forward with all the shows they have pilots for, it's understanding that - like for example, the Homestuck pilot - doesn't mean the project's future is secured. and that's what's so healthy about glitch's cycle, having merch available alongside said pilot, it establishes funds for the show before it's even started production, which serves to boost the quality of the finished show.
Would I like things to come out earlier? Of course, I'm only human. But I understand how long animation takes, and if we want a good result, we have to be patient.
They also have different teams working on different things. It's not like they're one group of six guys in a basement that just keep taking on more projects, with only those six guys working on everything.
...assuming literally any of those shows get greenlit, of course.
The world really has become so cynical that people find it hard to believe an indie animation studio can be this successful and have so many projects from ambitious creators without any real issues coming from it, it’s genuinely sad that folks out there have this sort of mindset.
These morons just need an legit excuse to hate on people or a studio for the sake of...whatever their goal is.
@Appresalty It's because they hate seeing something they dislike becoming popular. They don't like TADC, yet they see many people like TADC, so they start shitting on TADC and saying that glitch is secretely owned by disney and is trying to ruin indie animation as a whole. It's like seeing the rival soccer team winning. You're so upset you start insulting the rival team and saying that everyone's corrupt and let them win on purpose.
11:18 thank you!!! Like pessimism and like nihilistic takes online about new shows and fandoms. And if it’s not that it’s just hatred over nothing. Like I know there are people out there who are still mad the pilot cast didn’t come for Hazbin once it got picked up.
Our studio animated a one person made PILOT, 40 min long, released back in 2020, still hasn't been picked up, but we continue on
Ugh, thank you. As a fellow man who wants a prospering medium, the sudden beating down of GLITCH has really gotten under my skin as well. The bitter truth that needs to be accepted is, for indie to prosper someone has to play the part Disney originally did for theatrical shorts, or Hanna-Barbera for TV.
"they're too greedy because they give people a place to work on their passion projects and provide those works to us to enjoy for free!!!"
6:41 "nearly 20 yeas ago" this isnt nice to hear as someone born in 2008 LOL
Some (also, holy shit. I should lock in and do something with my life)
20 years ago?? I was born in 2008 I’m 18
Its worse cause I was born a whole decade before you. 2008 being 20 years ago means 20 isnt as long as I thought it was. 😢
I feel old
Lackadaisy was also started in 2006 not 2008
People are just slapping "slop" over random stuff that they dont like i was saying this back when people were talking about "friend slop" and im sticking to that opinion
My only, ONLY gripe with Glitch is that I'm getting tired of the "nostalgic childhood themes turned freaking twisted" gimmick: first with Digital Circus, then Knights of Guinevere, and now Gameoverse. I genuinely think they are the future of animation, given how chummy the industry is getting with AI, but they really need to start diversifying the type of stories they tell, instead of becoming a one-trick pony.
It's why, out of all their pilots, Gaslight District is my favorite- it doesn't try to hide its darkness with a friendly veneer, and the actual twist is that the scary-looking protagonists are actually good people.
I wouldn’t say gamoverse really falls into that category. It’s got like one world that falls into that category that barley even lasts for 1 min and obviously isn’t the setting of the whole show
0:43 Bro being funny here.
I think it’s natural to be concerned about what may be going on behind the scenes or what could happen to the company in the future, but we have yet to have a specific reason at the moment to believe things at the company are or will be bad.
Jimmy’s face coming from the background of the md figures is absolute gold bro 😂😂😂 got me laughing so hard bro 😭
PEOPLE are not turning on Glitch, Twitter things are, and these are NOT people
We? Whose we? Theres no we in this conversation
Their content was never for me but I'm happy for the brothers and I see them eventually partnering with a massive company years down the line and eventually selling off the company for like millions and retiring at 50+
4:29 what...what have you done...
Thoughts and prayers brother
After rooster teeth crashed and burned glitch is filling that niche. They're filling the hole RT left behind
3:01 So those are the men behind the magic!
2D animated shows are a lot harder and more time consuming to make than a 3D show. 3D shows have the benefit of being able to reuse assets - you don't have to redraw a character or background element for every frame/shot, you just need to reposition the existing models within the 3D environment that you likely already built early in development. Lets keep in mind that Knights of Guinevere and Gameoverse are two of Glitch's first 2D animated shows, so we shouldn't set the same kind of expectations in terms of release that we did for their previously 3D-only catalogue.
I don't doubt that Guinevere is going to be greenlit, and likely already has - they just don't want to announce anything until they have more to show about its future, similar to what they did for Digital Circus and Gaslight District.
Good points ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧
5:51 Still waiting for Glitch to hire Pierre Perifel and me.
Who are you and why are we subscribed to a bunch of the same channels 😳
@grapeyv I’m SpaceboyCT. Nice to meet you.😁👍🏻
NGL I am concerned that Glitch will become too big. I don't like the idea of it being too big for other indie studios to flourish.
As an indie creator myself (for comics) I know what it’s like for a project you’re working on that you and other people can’t wait to get done and out there, but it still takes a lot of time
Imagine Glitch and Flying Bark doing a collab!
They're both animation studios located in Australia!
Rare time I like a video from Roundtable in the 2020s.
4:29 Bro, the show only ended a month ago, how do people already not know how to pronounce SMG4? 💀
It's the same old problem. The indie thing got popular so people want to hate it now. These same people who rooted for them to do well want them to fail.
Hey, not all of them. We are still here who support Glitch. Just because they're loud doesn't mean they are the majority.
Plus, it's from Twitter the place that thrives off of hate. You also have to take into account bots. Why on earth would anyone listen to Twitter's opinion?
Even the dubbing is better than from original Studios, and (atleast in germany) this dubbing in done by nobodys. Proves again that all you really need is passion, that's it.
2:00 OMG GASTER IS GLITCH THEORY
If Glitch turns into the new norm for big budget studios I don’t really see that as a problem
I'm excited for the new pilot, but I noticed that The Digital Circus has new episodes, and I don’t see any episodes on Netflix or online. 😢
TADC has two episodes left, ep 8 will be released March 20th this year and we'll probably get the last ep 2-4 months after that. We don't have a trailer for the next ep yet because we're not close enough to it's release date, just gotta be patient
I hate how people complain about nothing and literally the coolest thing ever
Some people are just never happy.
Welcome to the 2020s! We hate everything!
- The Internet
I don’t understand why some people want to make commotion over small things. Glitch is definitely doing a good job by letting projects shine and I couldnt be more prouder.
Knights Of Guinevere JUST got green lit today lol
10:20
I did not need that jumpscare, jfc...
I wouldn’t be a tall surprise if other Indie animation Studios crawl out the woodwork eventually as Time goes on.
i get so envious when other people have fancy shows getting popular but my show doesnt
You don't have anything uploaded on your channel?
@SideReversehe probably means how other people have all their favorite indie shows becoming popular meanwhile, the niche indie show he watches is completely unknown and probably won't get the support to create another episode. (Sadly)
Can you tell me which show it is so I can watch it?
They know how to make merch ads that don't feel like ads, that's their superpower. If they want to give small animators a platform, I'm here for it!
3:25 NOT people erasing the good name of Wil Vinson!
People need to understand that glitch is a company full of DIFFERENT creators for different shows, the glitch brothers are not in charge of every single show, most of the time, they’re just promoting shows that creators didn’t have the money to start up, or were just having a hard time promoting it themselves.
TBH, it DOES feel like TGD and KOG should be their top priority after TADC ends since those are their newest shows before Gameoverse and it does feel like they’re announcing too many things at once although if they can handle it then it’s not that big a deal.
I used to think indie only meant horror games... But seeing shows like amaizing digital circus I was still wrong
1:26 where is this from?
Far-fetched! It’s still in production, but looks like it’ll be rlly fun :)
@Asterichite thank you!
@MarshalletteOfcc!!
Glitch Productions is my favorite animation studio and my dream is to one day make my dream indie animation show with them
I've honestly enjoyed every show that Glitch has released so far. I got into Murder Drones just before it's final 2 episodes and then after watching the TADC Pilot I've just been checking out every Pilot released on Glitch's channel. I can afford to be patient for shows to have an official release or even waiting for a new episode, especially when I know that it will come eventually and I have options for what to watch.
People keep forgetting my 3rd favorite Indie Bigtop Burger. Look in the credits of season 2
Honestly I can kinda understand the doubt, any one remember Rooster Teeth 😅😅😅😅😅😓
I keep hearing Glitch was the one that started indie animation, when actually there was Homestar Runner and Mondo Media
2:12 They have Andy and Frankie pins!? Eeek- ❤ ((o( !! • ∇ • )o))
Glitch is genuinely a spark in the swamp that is today’s internet slop
I get that people would feel suspicious to a company or a studio when they become bigger than expected. But these rumors aren't really giving some kind of objective reality. Glitch ain't failing, rather they are rising
1:08 2763 Missed Calls from BFDI.
10:12 THIS thank God we are talking about this Glitch doesn’t bait and switch like Disney does they don’t announce projects until out in a couple months (for refrence in D23 2 years ago they announced frozen 3&4 and we’ve yet to have so much as promo art
What's funny is that Glitch or specifically just TADC was what actually got me to give "these type" of shows a try and I found myself really enjoying it
Yeah glitch inn first release I thought they’re just going to show us the concepts of how they are working but they didn’t show it up again the only show shorts for 30 minutes I even question myself why did did they make it in the first place
I'm hyped for Gameoverse, Lackadaisy and Knights of Guinevere. Looks awesome.
So basically Nothing but a Nothing Burger 🥀
I'm terrified of what reception I'll get when I release my pilot. I'm making it completely on my own. People only get excited over "indie" animations when there are big names. Isn't that counter intuitive? There are too many celebrities and influencers involved for me to be comfortable. However, I'll keep working on my pilot, and if Glitch wants to help, cool! If not, then the answer will be abundantly clear that they only want to support people who already won the popularity contest. I hate how it has become another fucking popularity contest
The Gaslight District was created by a person who wasn't well-known before the pilot's release, so it's definitely not some popularity contest like you perceived. If you want Glitch to help you, you can reach out to them, but considering how they're already working on so much projects, there isn't a huge guarantee you'll get accepted just yet.
Animation takes time rushing it will come out like slop rather than a masterpiece give glitch and the many animators time to reveal their works of art
It's an odd to define category for when something stops being indie without a network deal. Like game freak who makes Pokemon had a smaller staff than glitch, nobody considers them a small indie studio aside from themselves.
2:53 that was NOT the wind bro. Also, people need to understand that in the end, Glitch is a studio that actually cares about its employees and communities, it's us who keep them afloat with our views, us buying merch and us even spreading the news about the studio. People on the internet will fight about anything, it doesn't matter wether or not they are indie anymore, what matters is that they are providing us with content which we enjoy, and they are providing directors and animators an opportunity to work alongside multiple talented individuals without any of he stressed that come with being an employee elsewhere cuz we know they will be one of the last studios on earth to give up on their crew
