I can see that lumine is rather jaded from seeing countless atrocities committed throughout the 500 years that she's supposedly been in teyvat.
To be fair, 500 years of atrocities is nothing compared to the 2600 years of Venti or the 6000+ years of Zhongli xD

This could actually be canon. Because in Childes voice over thingy he talks about fighting a terrifying monster that he fought against in the spiral abyss and that one day he will gather the strength to strike it down and that traveler will be his witness.

Okay but remember that one story where childe was trained by a swordsman for three months after he fell into a cliff/hole (?) What if that was lumine who trained him?

If the swordwoman is Lumine, then it should be change to swordman if we choose Lumine as the MC but it's not changing when I choose her. So I'm pretty sure it is not her but it will be interesting if she is the swordwoman.
@@nafisaayyun7439 there are times when the dialogue don't change even when you change MCs. For example in childe quest, childe call you nice lady even when you have chosen male.
I was really confused why his Fatui name was Tartaglia (from Commedia dell'arte). Tartaglia is a skittish and weak character, but is very loyal to his master, and is also known for his baggy clothes and stutter. This is definitely the opposite of Childe/Tartaglia, but in his character stories, it explains his “before Abyss” personality and dreams.
In his stories, you read that Childe (or Ajax) was very skittish and weak, but he wanted to escape from his home alone. He hated how everything was painfully boring, and he wanted to be able to become the heroes of the stories he loved. When he ran away, he only had a rusty knife and a bag of bread, before he fell down into the Abyss.
So when he returned home and was a magnet for chaos and fighting, his dad was confused and honestly terrified of him- Ajax had done a total 180 flip and became the opposite of himself. His dad was constantly worried for him prior to Abyss, because he was so frail. When he sent him to join the Fatui, his hopes were that Ajax would become calmer and able to vent out his violence in the Fatui military. But Pulcinella (coming from commedia dell’arte’s stock character for a loud, violent, and avid schemer) noticed how strong Ajax was and put him into the Harbingers.
Uhh,,, so basically- He got the name Tartaglia from how he was in his past and how it’s reflective of the commedia dell’arte stock character. All 11 have commedia dell’arte names and it’s really fascinating actually! La Signora and Scaramouche are perfect (Il Dottore is good but eh ) and it also can give hints to future characters. I’m so excited to see what Sandrone (“The Puppet”) and Pedrelino (“The Jester/Fool”) are gonna be like!! :o)

Aether: Lumine?
Lumine: Hello... brother. Long time, no see.
Aether: why are you with the Abyss mages, the Ruin guardians!?
Lumine: You don't understand. The time you have been gone. I saw things that you never seen, how can you understand
Childe: Princess?
Lumine: **eyes widen** You- you're the child from years ago...
Childe: I have travelled with your brother, in wishes to see you again
Lumine: Stay back. Mages. End them

Childe: LUMINE!
Lumine: I have no time for you traitor. Finish the job that I have gave you and you shall be allowed to come back to our side.
Childe: NO! Lumine come back.
Lumine: **walks into the portal, giving a death stare at Paimon**

Lumine: Look how pathetic you have come to...
Childe: LUMINE! LUMINE COME BACK!
Aether: what is going on
Abyss mages: GET THEM!
Childe: Don't... get IN MY WAY WITH ME AND HER **straights up one shot kills them all**

Childe: **jumps in the portal after Lumine**

Childe: Your eyes, they hold deep sorrow, yet they're beautiful, Your lips, calm and beautiful like the calm waters. You're hair, bright and beautiful like the moon I saw at the highest point of Tevyat. And you smell like home, always welcoming and so warm. How can I stop loving such a beautiful woman as yourself
Lumine: You know I can let you fall... right?
Childe: You won't do that, after all. You saved me, this time and long time ago.
Lumine: I don't remember
Childe: Your lies are terrible. See, you have many good things about you. I could go on and on... two days isn't enough, I want to know more about you... my one and only princess. So, will you drop the act of the naughty princess and be mine?
Meanwhile:
Aether: Phew, we finally defeated them all.
Keqing: I'm tired, lets take a quick break
Aether: Yeah le- I SENSE DANGER HAPPENING TO MY SISTER
(Note: Even in a alt universe, Aether is still a dotting overprotective brother)
And back
Childe: So will you be mine?
Lumine: But... that history, the evil thing you have done-
Childe: So what, you haven't interacted with all of us, there's the penniless Archons (Venti and Zhongli), Scary father figure (Diluc), a dotting overprotective brother I can relate to, oh yes, there's this-
Lumine: Okay Okay, I understand. Now why are we up here
Childe: One, I wanted time just of us two. Two, well I thought it might be romantic. Three I want the Queen of Abyss to be in her top form and fight her
Lumine: pft, you are a strange one, child.
Childe: I'm not a childe anymore
Lumine: Did you just make an awful pun
Childe: So mean ;-;
Lumine: **sighs** Tartagila, the world is cruel
Childe: Yet so beautiful, look the moon is coming out **Childe points out the scenery**
Lumine: It's cruel... but how can the world be so beautiful
Childe: You haven't seen all corners of the world. I'll take you everywhere you want. As long I can be by your side, I want to be there. **Childe wraps his strong, rough and beautiful hands around Lumine's small hands**
Lumine: M-maybe I will give this a chance... After that... I'll decide to destroy or not destroy this world.
Childe: My oh my, my ruthless princess.
(Scene ends with them linking hands, facing towards each other, with their shadows that seems to indicate a kiss (aaaah)

Skirk actually being Lumine is great, since in the final push against the Heavenly Principles, the Abyss and the armies of humankind will likely need to unite against a common threat, and both Lumine and Tartaglia will be leading the offensive, and them meeting could lead to some great character development.
i mean canonically he didn't immediately go back to snezhnaya, he actually stayed in the abyss for quite a while and it's actually implied that the abyss princess actually trained him in the arts of the abyss and abyssal combat, and that's why he is aware of so many abyssal arts and techniques and why he is a master of so many weapons

Lumine is much older than 500 years. She lived with the Jester when he was a royal Madge in Khaenri’ah prior to the cataclysm and the fall of Khaenri’ah, before she turns up in the Abyss. No one knows when she arrived in Khaenri’ah or when she left. No one knows how long she was in the Abyss, but she very well could have trained a child and called him Childe and he took that name back when she allowed him to leave. Time is different in the abyss than outside the abyss. Somewhere along the line her memories of being the Abyss princess faded (because she was from beyond Trevat and not human?) or had Dainsleif The Boughkeeper with access to Irmisul wiped her memories? At any rate, Childe grew up and not recognizing her meets her again as an adult, when he is Fatui and a Harbinger.

To bad he is a part time villain because he would have make a good hero or at least to those who see him as one.
