Residents of Belleville's Abend St. put up 'thin blue line' flags for fallen police officer

Residents of Belleville’s historic Abend St. placed pro-police decorations to support the loss of a neighbor’s fallen loved one on Jan. 8, 2024. The fallen police officer was the father of Ash Smith and served in Arkansas. The residents of Abend St. pride themselves on being a tight-knit community and often join forces to decorate their street.
