I love my QX7S Awesome radio. I watched Joshua Bardwells video on how to assign volume control to one of your radial dials and it's a real nice feature to have. Thanks for the video
I purchased a x9d plus because of the amount of modifications that are available for it. It's been out for a while so everyone has already went through it with a fine tooth comb
They are a bit expensive but high value radios - comparing to upper class Spectrum or MPX etc, which evenso very high and much more cost systems, they are an option... in my opinion. Thank you Sir Ali, for good informations !!! Greetings, Frank
I just got my Jumper T12 multi-protocol module. And uses the same Open-tx just like the Taranis QX7. And the jumper is smaller and does more than the Taranis line.
Jumper is too small and really looks even cheaper than other radios. plus shoving too many protocols in one radio, I do not feel its actually reliable.
@@alishanmao I understand, but so far I like it. It was either the Jumper or the Nirvana with the multi-protocol module. I usually dont like following the crowd. So I opted for the Jumper. Plus I have many different recievers. So this fit the bill for my rc needs.
well in that case yes Jumper is good because you can use all your receivers. I am now stuck with two radios only. I keep Futaba 14SG and Futaba Rx for LOS flights on RC Helicopters, RC Jets and planes and FrSky for FPV Racing Quads, Whoops and Long range FPV.
I love the QX7. There is only one thing I hate about it. I hate that the QX7 needs to be modded to run the premium TBS Crossfire TX module. The TBS Crossfire Mod is not reliable on the QX7. Unfortunately, I will have to buy an X9D when I upgrade to Crossfire. Great videos and much success to you and your family. :)
well to be honest, using LR9 Receivers, a beginner do not have to modify anything and they can enjoy long range FPV up to 6km to 7km easily which is more than enough for beginners. its gets boring when you cross 2km range. I have not seen any beginner attempting to go more than 3 to 4km. So yes QX7 is a great radio but later if someone needs and is in LOVE with TBS Crossfire, they can mod it. Personally I hate Crossfire and I never see the need to use it. I do not know why people love that expensive crap
Great video. So, this might be a dumb question but: Since the Q-X7 has an internal XJT Module with the stock Tx Antenna (which is not recommended to replace), should I buy an external/swappable XJT Module to fit in high gain antennas? Or is there another alternative to get further range?
you can actually if you like to use different antenna. else the best thing to do is open your radio and solder a new connector that can screw new antennas in easily. best solution

Frsky's R9M is better than crossfire, especially if you want to use ANY Frsky radio.... I've done hundreds of tests on both with MANY variables, penetration, distance, flight times, planes, quads, just tested everything and I've found I got the EXACT SAME performance with R9M, sometimes even slightly BETTER than crossfire, all at less than a third of the price. Couldn't believe how exact they both closely tested! If your starting out today, on a budget or just tired of crazy overpaying for crossfire receivers, and want to use a Taranis radio, R9M is definitely the way to go...
I know this is an older video but I'm looking to jump into planes, I have a few drones, would the qx7s be a good choice for both? I have never bought a TX and have all store bought drones so I don't even know if I can get them to work with a different TX, mostly the Bugs drones. It would be nice not to have to keep lugging around all their individual controllers.
Get this one and thank me later tiny.cc/94k6tz this is multi protocol and can bind to many different brands without using any receiver. if the drones or product has built in receivers, you just match the product protocol and done

Do not use X-Lite. I had it, I loved it at first but then when I flew I felt the dreaded delay in transmission. My FPV Racing Quad reactions were later than what I did on sticks. That little radio has lots of delay to fly FPV racer or fast planes. Stay with X9D or QX7
