About 10 years ago, during a real wet spring, the timber company that we rent our hunt club from had a group of people in to thin the pines. Those guys battled in that 40 acre tract for a few months during all that rain. When they left, they had left ruts like those in between almost all of the rows of trees that were left to grow. it was a bit of a disaster. it took a bulldozer to fix the roads to be semi passable into the tract again, which sucks because we don't have access to one= had to pay for that after they left. It wasn't 5 years before the landowner was back in there clear cutting what was left of the pines because they had started dying. Normally this company goes 10-15 years before they clear cut after the thinning.
Ain't that how it is for us all Wade, this blows we get it to freeze and it'll hold for a day or get real nice then bam it rains and the bottom falls out,o well I'd never trade logging for my old job. Logger life
Out of pure curiosity I have to ask. Who has to fix the ruts left behind. All in the contract before hand. Only asking because I do septic systyms haha. Also fyi glad I watched the old letsdig18 pranks loggerwade vidja I'm hooked man. Keep up the hard work man
@@mikeorood1975 I had just been curious. We dont see a lot of select timber logging like wade does in my area. It's either craning out certain trees or clear cutting.
Previous vids big daddy is always doing the clean ups. I do septic systems also what state are you in , I’m always amazed at how different installs are in different regions.
heeey buddy, get a forwarder a bigggg´´n instead of run back and forth whit skidders, and yepp they go slow but a 30 ton load of wood in one go, make your skidders look like wimps ;)
Awesome vidja Wade. Pretty good setup. Don’t take long for the logs to pile up. 👍
I just love it when it's this muddy takes twice as much fuel and you get half as much done
with ruts like that, the skidders could probably drive themselves.....lol.
thanks fer the loader shots i love watchin yer setup!
I’m not a logger but even I can tell that’s some nice logs coming out.
it's the Loggers version of Slot Cars.
Awesome vidja. But you know the whole youtube word is waiting for BRUTUS!!! Or I am anyway, cool video from both angles.
Me too jacob
Good things come to those who wait .

The good news is that you are not shut down. Thanks for the video Mr Wade.
Wow that is some serious mud! I’m sure after the second pass it becomes quite annoying! Best of luck!

It don't look to bad...Definitely soft but not to muddy! Thanks for professional vidja tonight, Champ! Good stuff...
Running 30.5 -32 s in a 648H can pull more wood. How can you make money skidding one of tree at a time🎍
There is one more thing that you can do in this situtation to get you mo'traction Wade...put the word "JEEP"across the front of your skidder.HAHA!!.
4 gauge well by golly never thought of that driver
@@LoggerWade HAHA!!.Excellent video Wade as usual.😀👍
Don’t let Stevey get anything stuck out there! Keep up the good work and I’ll catch ya on the next vidja

Man there's some good size logs coming out of there, shame you have to pull out due to ground conditions.

Lucky you, your mud stays in one place, mine is like soup! Way too early in the year for this!
We have snow up here in Michigan
Your road looks kinda solid
6 inches of snow will make a bigger mess
At first I though I was watching Bobby Goodman swamp logging.
what generally happens to the off cuts from a job like that?
Robert Phillips firewood usually
I’m jealous you’re having all the mud fun keep it off the belly pan
R mud season is over up north. It usually stays froze up thru the middle of March. A
Another great vidja tator .
Too bad there's not a field road. That's going to be hard to fix.
Looks like some pretty nice wood
That's just nuts. How's the landowner feel about that mess ?
SmoothBore it’ll all be put back
Pulling to stick at a time cost you more in fuel then it worth lol 😂
