I’ve followed all the tutorials from beginning to end and I can confidently say that this is the best Live2d guide I’ve ever seen. I love the way you structured each lesson and even added the common problems that riggers face throughout the process (which spared me the stress more times than I would like to admit). I did not know a single thing about Live2d before watching your videos. I was very slow and it took me several weeks to get here, but I now feel that I have a solid foundation in rigging that I can confidently build upon in the future. If anyone ever asks me for good tutorials on Live2d I will first and foremost recommend your channel. Thank you for making this!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! Thanks to you I’ve officially rigged my first VTuber model! 💖🎉 I actually really enjoyed it, (lots of tedious work, but so rewarding) I’m hoping to continue my VTuber rigger journey. (I don’t think I’ll be a VTuber any time soon, but I hope I get to work as a rigger to help people on their journey 🫶)
Hats off to Merely. Wufei! Your dedication should be best rewarded. You earned it. This is just my share. All of the beneficiaries will make more contribution to pay off your selfless and hard work!
You are absolutely an amazing guide! I finished my first vtuber commission and my client loved it (did it on procreate aswell :D)! I feel confident to start taking on vtuber commissions soon - also finally bought clip studio paint and hopefully I’ll get used to it so I can make a cute lil vtuber of my oc
I just found this playlist, and I’m so grateful; I’m doing a Live2D rig for my art project, and this has been so much help, you explain everything super clearly and my model looks great :)
I hope you know how invaluable this is. I followed your tutorial and made my first model using it and even though it's not perfect, it ended up far far better than I was expecting thanks to being able to follow all the steps here. Having my own unique model that I made myself from scratch is amazing! Thank you so so much!
Thank you! I don’t think we can say it enough! I finished my first model and am excited to make more. You really opened up the doors for so many of us. Your name will be remembered! ❤
Wow, just RUclips recommended your videos to me and I love them 😊✨, I'm just learning to draw because I want to create my own 2D model and your videos are a great help to me, I hope one day I can draw as well as you, thank you very much for sharing your hard work job 😊✨🎉
Thank you so much for all your videos, You explain so well !! I was able to do my first vtube model for a friend ! I'll keep on watching your videos again and again !!
Hey, I just wanted to say that I'm SO GREATFUL to you for creating this tutorial. I'm an brazilian artist, who can't afford a professional rigger so I tried to learn to do it by my own, and I watched all of your tutorial and geez... THIS WAS AMAZING, FROM START TO END!! Your explanations were so easy to understand, and your techniques to apply phisics are just GORGEOUS. I'm really super greatful to you for this, I hope you have the most of sucess in your career, cuz you deserve it
hii! i just wanted to say thank u sm for these tutorials :3 I’ve wanted to rig a vtuber for YEARS but i was always so scared of the live 2d interface 💀 but after less than a month of following ur vids ive rigged my first and moving onto my second model :)) ur tutorials are so amazingly structured and detailed thank you so much!!11! (plus ur art is GORGEOUS oh my gosh)
Thank you sooooo much for the tutorials, it helps a lot! I'm having my first live2D model, it's not perfect cause still learning and it's from scratch but I'm so happy that it's finally moving! I made some mistakes when drawing the model at the beginning, but I'm too tired to fix them because if 1 thing changes, I need to change all the settings. I will practice again properly if I want to make a new model.
Hiii I don't normally comment but I really enjoyed following this tutorial !! I finished my vtuber model and its a little messed up (mainly mouth) but I can live with it :P thank you !
hello! youre tuts have been helping lots! i was wondering if you have any advice for what im dealing with. my cheek puff is out of control, i dont know how to stop it from getting out of control. the only thing i can do is just get rid of it which i really dont want to do that. any advice? it might be because of my cheeks and that makes me sad if it is.
Hi! Thank you so so much for this wonderful tutorial this is by far the best I've ever seen!! I just have one question!! Can I add the rig model on my portfolio giving you the proper credits for the art? ;;;; Thank you again!
These tutorials are very well put together! I was also wondering if it would be possible for you to do a tutorial on the body lean (where the model leans into the camera, for example the one on cuppachae's model) as it is more advanced and I have rigged a few models before so I know the basics. I can't find any tutorials on it so I was wondering if this was something that was possible!
i followed all of your tutorial videos it's so useful but can you tell me which one should i buy for vbridger? like there's two options, its vbridger and vbridger editor, which one you use?
I need some assistance!! when I export and save it doesn't show up. I have it saved/exported as the correct file type to Live2dModels and nothing! D: . what have i missed? It shows the loading symbol saying it saved then nothing happens.
what's the simplest thing i can do? for example, i always wanted to have a piece of software that can recognize sounds and show a coresponding mouth drawing. so, this is what i want to make. i don't need the whole head or the body. the live2d docs and all tutorials want to teach me everything at once. i want to do a very simple thing first, get familiar with the software and go from there.
@@MerelyWufeii i found honk and maybe it's just semantics but they call it vtubing. from what i've read png tubing is just two images, mouth open and mouth closed. i wanted lipsync and something like honk should be good.
Hey, I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but I can't load my avatar into Vtube studio. It's saying the resolution is too big. But I also tried with the reduced resolutions, to no avail. Does anyone know what to do?
It may be your texture atlas being too big? In that case you could reset it to a smaller size, otherwise you can join my discord and post screenshots in the tutorial-help forum for more specific help🙏
@MerelyWufeii omg I wasn't expecting a reply. Thank you! Yes, I made the mistake of creating a photoshop file too big (6000 x 10,000 I think). What would be the optimal atlas size? Your suggestion please
Okok the ps and texture atlas size shooould be fine since I worked with those (unless you’re loading the model on mobile vts), 🤔I did find this reddit thread that might help: www.reddit.com/r/Live2D/comments/xsu0ra/how_to_lower_texture_resolutions_that_are_too/
No, I'm not in love with the anime version of a hamster.

Regular vbridger! The editor one is for more advanced custom formulas which this tutorial doesn’t need
Can u still use Vbdiger for vtube studio tracking without using an IPHONE , I cant get the vbridger to track with my webcam

That sounds like png tubers! You can do some research on that instead of vtubing!
@@MerelyWufeii i found honk and maybe it's just semantics but they call it vtubing. from what i've read png tubing is just two images, mouth open and mouth closed. i wanted lipsync and something like honk should be good.
Then i guess you can just follow the basics, mouth and setup tutorial and be done loll

My model keeps looking down when I activate my camera and it starts detecting my face, what do I do??
Do you know if you can use the same iphone tracking with an Ipad?
Yep as long as your ipad has face ID I think! Same app vtube studio👍
no, i am not in love with a 2d anime humanified hamster...thatd be absurd!!!
I DID IT !
