she said “this is super Colombian” for everyone 😂😂 she’s so adorable
kimyata I was thinking the same thing and we use a couple of these in Panama 🇵🇦 😂
But for real most of these are super colombian😂😂

We need one with Sofia Vergara! 🇨🇴 she gonna speak some Costeñol, I'm sure 😂
Yes, we need someone who speaks Costeño and see that not everybody say "parce" 😂 jajaja
@@daniamanjarres exactly I thought the same!!! We need Sofía representing!
lol I Can imagine Sofía teaching “Because ajá” “don’tfuck = nojoda” “erda” 😂
Y a Sofia Carson también.
OMG!!! We totally need that video, costeñol con Sofia
All of these people judging her English need to stfu; it’s hard enough to learn another language as an adult and she’s clearly doing really well. Most of the people judging can probably only speak English anyways 😗
Also Viva Colombia 🇨🇴
People who judge us for not speaking a perfect english are the same ones that only speak english and are the dumbest at other languages.
what's sad is people are judged when they learn 2-3 languages yet the world does not revolve around English ... we need more Latino youth advancing and learning anything we can to grow the culture
I haven't seen anyone judge the way she speaks English. But the ones that are need to realize that not everybody in the world is a native English speaker.
Speak English anyways? The kettle telling the pot to stfu. Aha. No. What is f-upped is the fact that those who claim to have a license to teach English, teach it half-assed and not correct it. Shakira's English is superb. She didn't cut corners. Someone is definitely not doing a good job with Karol G. Sad.
Maritza Leon-Martinez period Pooh.
She explained every Colombian slang word exactly how I would explain it in English . 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Michelle Garcia I am officially Colombiano - que chimba parcera

Epa la arepa!
I dislike how sometimes Americans judge non-Americans on their English when a lot of actual Americans don’t even speak it properly, I love her Spanglish. I’ve been bilingual for my whole life and there’s always gonna be days when you might forget a word even if you’re constantly speaking either language. I commend her for not letting the interview freak her out and that she felt comfortable enough to educate people especially the uncultured swines who loved her song but didn’t even know what tusa meant😂😂❤️
I even asked my Colombian friend what tusa meant but she said she had no idea😂
@@giangiiiii it means feeling bad for breaking up to someone..
Yeah, I was pretty impressed she could get the English right because I didn't know she spoke English.
There's nothing more pathetic than going to a far-right rally in the U.S. with people blaming all the problems in the country on minorities, but the signs have a shitload of spelling errors. I guess they'll never figure out the reason why they feel like they are being kept down.
she’s fluent though. *super* fluent
I love everything about Colombians! The language the food and the people!
@Zapato42 Sizeshoe42 yes! Definitely on my bucket list! 👍 👏
Me too ❤
She speaks English way better now I remember her struggling and she was learning the language still and she picked it up fast I think it was 2 years ago and now she’s fluent in English
She is sooo cute! I love seeing Colombians sharing our culture with the world
ninni 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 si o no? Que Viva colombia 🇨🇴
I’m Colombian and most of some of these are used in cities that are not of the Caribbean decent so like cali, bogota and Medellin!!!

Im a Colombian foreign language teacher. And I do not find her english to be unpleseant AT ALL. On the contraty I do admire the fact that she is speaking about our slang, words that are so used in our daily basis as colombians. Keep it up girl !!

Her English is pretty good. You can understand what she's saying, she gets confused sometimes but that's normal, specially if it's an interview and you're asked to explain words.
Hey, what’s Karol’s accent?
@@Andrea-pr7wo totally ! It isn't easy to stand in front of a camera speaking a foreign language
LOL!
I want to see people who are judging her for her English speak Spanish as well as she speaks English, they could never!

Never!!
You want to see me speak spanish, what should I say?
Dona Monica....VERDAD!!!
Aylin Torres .
I didn’t even know she was Colombian.. my wife’s always listening to this chick.
Listen to her Spanish accent, she is super Colombian.
I'm not Colombian but I know "Gonorrea" is missing
I'm Japanese and there missing gonosorbia and gran pirobo. I've studied there BTW
Those are bad words. She's not going to say those on camera

@@isa.-.d9444 It's probably known.
i love her accenttt is the accent all my claddmates have in school 😂 Colombiaaaaa
I'm Colombian, born and raised in the country, bilingual since the age of 8, and I must say I'm super positively impressed by Karol G's English. Very fluent. Congratulations!
I admire her effort to try to learn another language as an adult, even i didn't know that she speak English, also i think that she's very brave. Guys, learn another language it's very hard, I'm trying to learn English and it's very hard to have a good fluenty.

But guaro was not that bad, at least for me. I'm a really bad drinker but it wasn't that strong for me, I kind of liked it.😂
She gave perfect explanations for these slang examples!
Philippines is one of the former Spanish colonies that did not adopt Spanish as it's official language but being Filipino, I understand most of the slang she mentioned.
I am just an average American guy. I discovered Karol on a random RUclips recommendation and I have been a fan ever since. The whole world is waiting for you Karol G!
Where is "Gonorrea", "La chimba" and "Uribe paraco hijueputa"? 🤔🤣
Also, "Nanai cucas" isn't complete without putting the finger in your Neck and Pointing the yugular... Solo para fines dramáticos
JAJAJAJAJAJ
No. That’s ridiculous.
How about 'mamerto hijueputa' to describe people like @Seay B ?
@@CapitanJusticia Me vale Mondá si quieres venir aquí a dártelas de ofendido
Well go ahead and explain them to us
She has a really "paisa" english. It's so curious to listen a colombian sister explaining these words 😅 here in Vanity Fair. This should be private hahaha. The slang is so intimate.
"Paisa" is how we name the persons of Medellín, Antioquia. Both cities of Colombia (for foreigners).
She sounds with that accent in English hehe. At the end is more noticable.
So ? ... all people have accents and it is not bad, so brave going around trying to explain slang words which it is really hard.
FlyForFunNaruto paisenglish
@@09816 I wasn't criticising her. It's just a comment. Although it's curious to see how she changes her accent at the end. (sorry for spanglishing, didn't know how to say the last phrase).
@@valentinavasquez2907 😅. Totally
@@varjakc4002 Actually Antioquia isn't a region. It's a "departamento": a Department. And it's capital is Medellín.
However. The objective was to talk about the "paisa" word not to explain the geographic division of the country.

In Mexico “Traga” is to excessively eat lol.

No, Karol. Lucas is not a word for pesos, it's another way of saying 'thousands'. Our currency is numerous; so many people reduce the thousands to lucas. 10 lucas is 10,000.
