Pretty sure that o1-mini is based on GPT 4/4o. It's just enhanced with chain of thought capabilities It also has a 2023 knowledge cutoff, so it may not have any information on itself 🤷
I don't think so because the inference speed is HUGE. It's like 3x faster than gpt4o mini. Actually I think it's a smaller model than gpt4o that answers blazing fast to end to make a huge chain of thought. I also think it's a custom model specialized for this chain of thought (I think they created a new model, not starting from gpt4o)
