Since I mainly work with overhead projectors and can't afford Optikinetics devices, I built something to create opti effects on the overhead projector.

I thought the whole thing speaks for itself. the only thing I can add is the following. you have to open the Lazy Suzan and remove all the balls and clean the bearing and the balls. There are always metal shavings in the bearing that prevent it from running smoothly. The dirt is graphite to keep the bearing running smoothly.

I've been making designs for this set up so that I can flip the moving disc over and get a different pattern.
