Had to go back and watch it again. I have worked as cabin crew and pilot on a lot of different aircraft types but that was the slickest door closing I have ever seen.

Keeping weight down in all aircraft is critical so everything is made a light as possible.
Aluminium is most widely used with modern composites now being used in modern aircraft.
Looking at that door and the age of the helicopter it probable aluminium and because the helicopter isn't pressurised it doesn't have to be a strong as planes that fly at above 10'000ft.

I suppose WE are paying for the plane, the gas, and that he's still Not paying the cities he visits for their expenses, so it will come out of tax money. So we pay Again, again and again.

They're supposed to reimburse the government when they use AF1 for political campaigning. Now, they have a history of just not paying for stuff, so I wouldn't hold my breath, but those are the rules, at least. Usually presidents will try to work in an 'official trip' with this so they don't have to foot the whole bill, since AF1 costs something like $200k per hour to fly. But again, I wouldn't hold my breath.

All presidents get planes, helicopters, armored automobiles, travel to cities and a entire host of things, regardless which party they belong to.
@@richb2229 For the purpose of executing their presidential duties, not for the purpose of flying around the country for campaigning. Campaigns are supposed to reimburse the government for costs associated with using Air Force 1, local police departments for security, and other services used while campaigning. Since Trump has stiffed many contractors building his casinos, many police forces in cities and towns who provided security, I think few would be surprised if Trump continues stiffing the American Tax payer, just like he always has.

In that Saturday Victory Party in the Rose Garden I didn't see very much social distancing or masks worn. It was reported that all were tested before entering. I guess they forgot that people could still spread the virus and test negative and that hugging each other might not be a great idea.
