Seventeen actually renewed their contract an entire year early. Like it was fr announced on a random Tuesday in 2021 that all 13 members renewed their contract and carats weren’t even worrying yet because 2022 was their 7th year. It took them a really long time to (I think they said 8 months) to do it because there are 13 people with many different wants and needs and negotiating a contract for 13 people to come to complete agreement actually sounds like a nightmare but they clearly thought ahead and began the process like 2 years early. They said that all 13 were definitely not even thinking of leaving and were going to be in seventeen no matter what but the terms was just really difficult to get through. It was actually the first time I’ve seen a group (especially as close as seventeen) just discuss the difficulty of resigning and just the process.
