I love Brussels. I like Bruge and Blankenberge too. Visited lots of WW1 battlefields and museums on school trips to Belgium in the 90's. Spent a few months working in Brussels in my late 20's. I'd like to go back.
Personally I've always been underwhelmed by Brussels. Jump on the train for 30 minutes and go to ghent :) enjoy!

I’ve been living in Brussels for over 10 years but personally I don’t find there is plenty to do. It’s quite average, I find it way less vibrant than other European capitals. Don’t get me wrong it’s still a pleasant city but I never got all this fuss about being an exciting place.

I think this was made before he moved back to the US. Hope everything is going ok with the house project - such a huge task.
