    I'm glad I clicked, any blaster that has shells is not my preference. I can't be bothered with picking them up, printing or buying new shells after they get stepped on in a game. But because it was you I thought " what the hell". I didn't realise that there was an option to convert to mags. I have seen this blaster around for a while but never been interested, the makers/distributers should promote that aspect for those of us that don't want shells. SO the prime wasn't too hard with the highest spring? I'm seriously looking at this now as a possible buy - thanks.

    • @BradleyPhillipsYT

    • @BradleyPhillipsYT
      @BradleyPhillipsYT  Год назад +6

      It's not recommended to use the 2.2 spring with plastic parts of the shell ejecting kit. The talon adaptor kit uses aluminium parts.

    • @ApenBaard
      @ApenBaard Год назад +1

      @@BradleyPhillipsYT
      Ah sure, but the talon kit doesnt come with an aluminium plunger though does it? So the plunger itself is still just plastic.
      From my understanding the plunger itself is what potentialy breaks with the heavier spring. For example frontlinefoam had their plunger snap after extended use of the heaviest spring. So if only the plungertube and pusher are aluminium that would mean the strongest spring would still be risky to use regardles of which plungertube you would use. Though i guess it might be *more* risky with all plastic?
      Edit: in case anyone else interested in this topic is reading this, I did some more research and: Frontlinefoam, who snapped their plungerhead in half by extended use at 300 fps, has designed a new 3d printed plungerhead which is supposed to be more sturdy. That seems to be the most important replacement when tuning this thing around 300fps.

    • @BradleyPhillipsYT
      @BradleyPhillipsYT  Год назад +1

      It's the metal bolt arm and metal pusher. The plunger rod is still plastic on mine.

    Hey Bradley, I know you ordered from Phantom but as I am in the US. I will be having to go through Shellington themselves. If I just wanted to buy it for recreational target shooting. Is there any reason I would need the extended barrel, 300 FPS spring, or upgraded aluminum ejector? I am mainly concerned about a consistent shot from the ejectable half dart shell. I also do not want to have the rifle breaking down from excessive use. Not sure if the stronger spring would wear it down quicker. Appreciate any insight you or anyone else has thanks mate.

    • @danielmiller4354
      @danielmiller4354 Год назад

      Saw in one of the comments 300 FPS or 2.2 spring seems to be overkill. Think I would be safer with the standard 2.0 spring that comes with the rifle. As the comment talked about breaking the plunger potentially.
