Wow, I'm surprised! Thank you for introducing our watch.
Very welcome. It's good to see a new microbrand popping up from Japan. I hope you guys continue with more releases!
This is a great (and unique) offering! Thanks for showcasing a list that includes, but goes beyond, the usual players.
Love these new unique choices and that Edifice is definitely a top choice. Love the tsuyosa as well
I purchased the Mojito a few months ago. It's a dazzler. I love it so much.
I am so tempted to get one ……..would just like to see it before I purchase
You know your stuff mate what a great video .
Awesome selection! Great vid as always!
Much appreciated! Always good to see you in the comments my friend
@@TopTierTicker 😄👌
Happy new year mate great video
Thank you mate, happy new year to you too 🎊 hope you and your loved ones are well 🙏
Just got a Casio Enticer MTP-V005 with a blue ‘Sun burst’ dial which instantly became a huge hit in my family and friends’ circle. It cost me $13 !!!
I’m have the Kuoe Oldsmith 90-002 and I love it.
Nice list Kieron, I'm particularly liking the Junzen and Kuoe brands!
I'm still tempted by the Seiko snkl23. There are also a few other dial colours of that model, snkl15 which has a white dial and snkl19 which has a lovely grey/silver dial with gold hands and indices. Decisions, decisions!!
Great video as always, cheers 👍
I love the white dial variant! It's the shape of the case that also makes this piece so good. Looks unbelievably good on a leather strap
Cheers Rik, hope you're well mate 🙏
greetings from St. George Utah Beutiful, I have the Mojito Seiko stunning piece, one of my favorite Seikos period. The dial is magnificent .What more can you ask.. doesn't break the bank stylish.. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and experiences with these impressive brands... until next time, my friend ..
have the casio edifice with the white dial, looks great
Just ordered my 5th Orient yesterday with the drop of the Bambino V9. Right now I’m in that happy place between when I bought it and when my wife sees it.
Hahaha, love that.
Pro tip : start making RUclips videos on your watches, and your wife can't say anything about the amount you have ;) worked for me!
Great idea for a video. Cheers! 👍🙏
Glad you liked it! Some brilliant affordable pieces coming out of Japan!
Great video ❤ Happy new year 🎈🎉
Thank you mate 🙏 appreciate the support. Happy new year to you too 🎉
@@TopTierTicker tomorrow i will take absolutely classic Casio f91 w 😀
Kuoe is doing amazing things. I think we'll priced for the offer, too. On my list of micros for sure!
I think so too! I like how they stick with the smaller case sizes, it's rather refreshing
Got my order for that Kuoe Royal Smith all sorted now (thanks again for the advice Kieron), currently waiting on it arriving and trying not to check the online tracking every hour 😆 Fingers crossed it looks just as good in person!
No problem at all mate. Make sure you send me a wrist shot over on Insta when you get it, and your opinions on it too!
I’m now aware of Junzen,thanks
Your tip with the F-91W strap on the MTP-B145 was pure gold. It's like wearing a dress watch and a beach beater at the same time.
That's brilliant! Glad you're enjoying it my friend. Which strap did you go for? did you get a leather from Vario or take one from a f91?
@@TopTierTicker
I bought an aftermarket F-91W rubber strap from Ali.
So many nice Seiko's out there that I would grab in a heartbeat. If only it had a sapphire crystal.
note the Orients have second marker misalignments on these models. Ensure that the one you order has got the correct dial.
5:50 I believe the Seiko SNKL23 is NOT discontinued. In fact, I just purchased a unit just 3 days ago. The store I bought it from had tons of stock for the SNKL23 (as with several other stores in my region - Malaysia), priced at around USD100. It's a beautiful watch but the bracelet was trash at the highest level. Replaced it to a top grain leather strap out of the box. Also, the tiny, recessed crown is a pain to fiddle with. Other than that, it does look like a million bucks on wrist.
It does seem to be having a lifespan that's wayyyyy too long, but the 7s26 movement is definitely discontinued (the one inside the SNKL23). So they may still be producing small runs of this watch, but it's production has to come to an end very soon, because the movement inside of it is not longer being made
But yeah, it looks killer on a leather strap! Just avoid knocks and getting it wet 😂
I’m not hating Casio watches. When I was a firefighter, the only watches that I bought were Casio. Cheap and tough. Made of plastic. I’m a fan.
I’ve never seen a Casio Edifice in person here in the USA. It wasn’t till I flew to El Salvador that I finally saw one with my own eyes. 😂 Not bad. Edifice and Citizen was all their high end store sold while I was there.
I recently picked up my first one... Pretty decent
There are so many NOS Seiko that I like, but I had to tell myself that I have enough of the 7S26 movement!
Kuoe is an amazing brand😍
I think im in love with that casio edifice...and I do NOT like sport watches. But that is just...gorgeous
Same! It's got something about it that just makes it a proper stunner. I NEED to get one of these very soon! I think it's going to look unbelievably cool on a rubber strap!
@TopTierTicker That one pic you put up on the screen with that yellow strap...shewww a yellow rubber strap on it would make for a good looking sport watch. Perfect for a beach trip lol. I'm looking to buy one soon now too
I appreciate the the diversity that micro brands are bringing to the watch industry. It was starting to get too stale for my tastes.
Completely agree. Micros are the most fun part of watch collecting in my opinion. Thanks for watching 🙏
SNKS79 and SNKL45 over SNKL23 for me. You can still get both so get them while you can! These are basically vintage watches that you can still buy new.
I can appreciate that, good suggestions.
That's true! Neo-vintage... Brand new 😆
Kuoe is a very elegant watch.
Indeed it is! I reviewed it recent on the channel, check it out :)
Bonjour
Quelle est le bracelet sur la seiko mojito a 0.38s de la video?
Merci
I've got the S107D Casio. A bit Royal Oak, a bit Nautilus, but without being a blatant rip off. Highly recommended, definitely my favourite watch at the moment.
Once you see the minute markers on at 26 past on that Orient Mako you can't unsee it. Hope they fix that ASAP
It's already fixed on new production
@@TopTierTicker Heh heh. And now the ones with the wonky dials might just become collectors items...
Great video! Where can I find an integrated braclet for MTP-B145D-2A1?
You mean the Intergrated strap? I took mine from an F91w. It's fits like a glove.
Which means you can buy any aftermarket f91w strap 👍
@TopTierTicker thank you! I like the look with the strap better🤌
Love your channel
Where can I find Seiko snkl23?
Thanks
Link in the description mate 👍
If Citizen ever makes the Suyosa in the 35-38mm range, THEN I’ll jump on it over the PRX; that thing looks huge on my 6.75’ wrist.
😅😭
Really? I thought it was incredibly well proportioned on my 6.5inch wrist... Much better than the 40mm PRX
I could see a 38mm version working, but I think 35mm would look too odd
Hey that’s my wrist at 3:20 for the Kuoe watch 😂
Really!? That's awesome man! I usually find cool wrist shots on reddit from enthusiasts, so it's super cool that I've picked one from someone who watches my videos! It looks great on you by the way 👌
@@TopTierTicker I’ve got a naturally small wrist and Kuoe has been an amazing find with their smaller more classic sizings. I hope to one day visit Kyoto and check out their store in person. Keep up the great videos, big fan!
@@gregmiller118 It is also a big dream of mine to one day visit Kyoto! I'll likely mark the occasion with a watch too :)
Appreciate you watching mate, it's good to have you here
How does the bracelet of the Citizen Tsuyosa compare to the PRX's?
Prx looks better. Tsuyosa much more comfortable
@@TopTierTicker thanks. How would you compare the quality of the bracelets? I have heard that Tsuyosa’s bracelet is ok, but not great.
I don't have a problem with the Tsuyosa bracelet at all, it's decent quality. I think the criticism comes from the pressed clasp. But, I'd much rather have a pressed clasp with micro adjustment than a butterfly clasp any day of the week
Have they fixed the second marker error on the Orient Mako 40?
I think so. I'm sure there are still some models that have it, but I believe all of the new production models are all good now
Yes, they have fixed it
Yes.
Let's see how many Japanese I have
1. Prospex Penguin Day
2. Promaster Chronograph
3. Promaster GMT
4. Promaster Sailhawk
5. Pro Trek PRG 250T
6. Pro Trek 340T
7. Atessa
8. Eco-Drive Duo
9. Citizen 7
10. Citizen Two-Tone Pearl Dial
11. Edifice Advan Yokohama
OK I have too much Japanese
Wow, 11!! Great collection of them though, you have some of the best affordable pieces Japan has to offer.
@@TopTierTickernot to mention that was only in 11 months
🎉🎉🎉
The Orient Make 40 has a manufacturing defect on the dial. You can see it in the second markers around the 5 o'clock index. They are off. It is the same on ALL of them, including the ones in this video. Plus, it is a dive watch WITH NO LUME PIP. What's that all about?
They’ve already gone back and rereleased it with the corrected dials .
(but of course, you MUST make sure the one you’re buying is the corrected one!)
Yes, the original versions had this defect, it has been fixed on new production
Junzen for $600 is a little out of the box
The Orient brand logo needs to be refreshed. Too big. It just doesn’t sit nicely on most of their dials.
Nice one Kieron! Still milking that Casio tiffany? Lol. It looks like there's a few more dial colours coming soon.
Hahaha cheeky bugger! It's available to buy in the UK now at a reasonable price, it's a decent watch for that price. Especially for a Casio!
@@TopTierTicker I sort of like the pink one but it seems to be harder to get than the others.
These Orient divers are the ones with the misaligned minute marker printing between 5 and 6 o'clock... Not acceptable. You can see it also in the video.
They have fixed this issue with current production. It was a huge cock up. But, these things happen. I just used the best quality images I could find, which happened to be the ones with the error.
But you could have mentioned it to make sure noone buys one of the bad ones...
The Junzen requires a warning - none of the three strap choices fits a wrist larger than 7.28". That's a quarter-inch smaller than my average wrist. Obviously, this watch is not intended for the Western market. How short-sighted.
A lot of Asian brands do that. Even Vario (who have a large western market) ship with smaller straps. My guess is the biggest customer base is smaller wristed enthusiasts, so the smaller strap makes sense. Having a long strap on a watch when you have a small wrist is super annoying, you can see the spare strap when reading the time. And it's easy enough to swap out a strap. If this was a bracelet, and they shipped with a limited amount of links, I'd understand. The strap though, forgiven.
@@TopTierTicker Yes, but with a choice of THREE straps, a smart company would make one of them larger. At $625, it's already a hard sell.
@@chrishugo Thank you for the valuable information. A strap that fits wrists up to 7.87" is now available😀
@TopTierTicker It's still s worthless strap you're paying for. But, no more - the maker just updated with a 7.87" option. Good response.
Can't watch even though I wanted to because of the editing. The effect used to cut shake and wobble every couple of seconds is like the start of a migraine. Had to do a don't recommend channel. Thought it was worth letting you know in case it is of any help to future editing choices. All the best.
I've already stopped using it after previous feedback 🙏
@@TopTierTicker thanks. Appreciated
