Personally I hope this can stand up to the masterpiece that Budokai Tenkaichi 2 was. And also the return of Super Android 17 from GT, as well as the rest of the GT characters.
Also, I understand how long, potentially stressful and complicated it is to make a game but, could we have character customisation? Similar to Xenoverse where we can make our own character of any race with any applicable movesets and special attacks? If so that would make this one of the best Dragon Ball games of all time!
I believe speed is the aspect that most captures Dragon Ball battles. That said, I'm very excited for Hit!

For real! We want the game to be as excellent as Bodukai tenkaichi 3, if it is rushed it will never be good
Stop. It's a DBZ game. Not only that but it's a prequel to one we love. This isn't Bethesda, EA, creators of cyberpunk or ect. It'll be a lot harder for them to screw this up than it seems. It'll be ok gameplay wise but not micro transactions wise.

They added the energy blast deflection from the raging blast series seamlessly into the live gameplay. It’s amazing.

The mix of classic and new battle mechanics along with a STACKED roster is going to be amazing. I'm sad Akira won't be around to see this game thrive but he'll be watchin in spirit. Rest In Power
One thing I wish they changed was when you get hit back and fall you do this weird animation, after being pushed back by a blast or kicked/punched it would be cool if you were stuck in the wall

Thank you for continuing to incorporate clashes in the series. These graphics look absolutely stunning for it to be considered a continuation of the series as the last DBZ game i played was actually Tenkaichi 3... I'm very excited to play this...

I love the mix of new audio and classic audio from BT.
I'm so happy to see that the devs were seemingly given a lot of time and budget on this game, you can see there were really passionate about nailing it. Toriyama can hopefully rest easy, knowing his amazing work continues to get the love and attention it deserve.

4:04 after goku does the super attack, the arrow indicating another transformation shows up again next to the 4. Possibly blue kaioken? This game is awesome

I'm very impressed with what I see here. 😎 I've also read or listened to various thoughts from others after seeing this new showcase and trailer.
And it seems some have concerns about The Roster, & The Camera Angle. I like this camera angle tbh but some feel it's too far away and should be closer like it was in older Budokai Tenkaichi games. The only solution to such a debate is to do something new, and add into the game menu an option of different camera zooms.
This current camera view being default. While additional camera angles that you the developers play around with. I'd say 2-4 camera angles is sufficient.
They should seriously consider implementing some of tenkaichi 2 ost, dbgt final bout, and budokai 1 "challangers".
Being able to deflect beam supers now is SUCH a sick mechanic!
Did you notice it costing 2 sparkling gauges? So on top of being sick, it can't be spammed willy nilly.

I told myself I'd never overhype myself for a videogame ever again after getting burned time and time again. This makes me as hype as I was for Skyrim.
This looks awesome. I'd like to see more variations on grunts and battle vocals, or even just a reduction in how often they make noises so they don't sound repetitive
Im not sure if its a place holder but im so glad they're using some original grunts and voice clips from budokai for nostalgia

It's really interesting. I don't mind it if they managed to get some high quality voice clips from their archives for them, but if there's some sort of noticeable quality difference then I would prefer them to eventually use all new voice lines. For consistency's sake.

i kinda dont like it. In tenkaichi 3 the ambience gets dark and emphasis is on the beams clashing, much more cinematic imo. And the rotating camera is so distracting, i wanna spectacle at the beams colliding, not get motion sickness from a spinning camera. You barely take in the clash with how much is going on. And, BUTTON press?! man...i was hoping to spin the fuk out my sticks, but I guess they're keeping xbox players in mind since they dont have the double stick layout. Still I hope they dont go with what they have as the final beam clash mechanic. itll be the only thing disappointing in the game. everything else looked NICE.

The characters look more close to camera in bt3 . They should also make characters little bit closer to the screen in sparking zero which would make this game record breaker , also the sound effect and the background music was so awsome in bt3. They should use those sound effects.
BT3 has 3 or 4 camera types you can change in the options
Idk if anyone has noticed but THE ENVIRONMENT CHANGES throughout the fight with goku and vegeta specifically right here 4:54 where goku goes full power notice how the sky is clear then when he charges to full it gets cloudy. Yea this game gonna be fire

3:43 a very small detail that i absolutely love.
The dust and smoke clouds are interactive, they move away when something goes through it like the ki blasts.
If it does the same when characters fly through id be so happy, thats extreme cinematic!

Just not the beam clash. I hope they rework it to be more like how Tenkaichi 3 was. Basically I’d rather have a Dbz Goku vs Vegeta type clash rather than a DBS Broly vs Gogeta clash. The spinning camera and dimension effect just doesn’t make it feel epic to watch. In fact? you barely watch anything with how the camera spins. I wanna see the beams struggle with a dark ambience like in BT3. The current build just spins the camera to each player until the mini game is done….doesn’t feel epic at all but is flashy for sure

If you really rather have what we got here, I can’t believe it, and don’t know how you can accept that. I love everything else about the gameplay, but the Beam Clash is one thing I don’t hope makes it to the final release
The hair movements when it blue actually flow with the wind is fantastic especially the return of the torn clothing. I love how the hair is not just a stiff hat when the characters fly around or when it's hit, etc etc.
The torn clothing is not done in real time it sux and no blood. When I watch anime like the fight Goku SSJ2 vs Vegeta SSJ2 I see their clothes slowly deteriotating and they have blood on their faces, arms etc. It's no big deal to do... and do it progressively. Same for the environment: why no holes in the ground related to the power you use? So lazy... it looks like it's just a sprite (and for the clothes, just a different skin, like a pre-generated "torn clothing" skin).

This got me excited, here I was a week ago planning on trying to find a copy of #3 just to play it again. Was sort of hoping for motion controls like Wii-Wii-u had for 2 and 3, it made the fights feel more personal doing the movements. This is still good though, has me excited. Hope they do a good job with a huge roster and forms.

I remember spending a sh*t-ton of time in Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and 3 as a child and occasionally with my Dad,
even though he didn't know anything about those games and Dragon Ball in general.
He still played it with me regardless of his missing knowledge, even if I won 80-90% of the time.

Just wished that the actual beam hit had some impact. It looked more like he got pushed by the beam instead of actually getting hit. Like in the old games the beams used to explode on impact but I guess thats not a thing anymore. Oh well still looks great 😅

We won’t know anything until the final product comes out. (That or it must be some kind of hidden tradition to use the same audio for these types of Dragon Ball Games)
I hope they do a Storymode similar to Budokai 3/Tenkaichi 2, where you can fly around the worldmap.

The camera work behind the player makes the fight feel soooooo much more alive, it’s a small detail but the shake, depth change, angle, blur and zooms give a ‘’feel’’ to the fight. It’s amazing. The cartoonish animations of the wind and sound barrier breaks also make it feel brilliant just from watching it. I can’t wait to play this. Props to the dev team, amazing job. And RIP to the goat 🙏

It would be cool if the image ui in the top left/right would have a short animation. Facial expressions would change for example.Other than that it looks great and can't wait for release

Tenkaichi 3 was and still is one of my favourite fighting games of all time. And this game looks its so close to that. So far everything looks amazing, I really hope this game succeeds.

This is 100% a tenkaichi sequel I'm so happy they stayed true to the theme of this game. I was genuinely worried they were going to pull some sht where it was like a bootleg version of Raging Blast with Tenkaichi aesthetics. I had my guard only because of how Ultimate tenkaichi came about.
Even the music feels like the classic game

One of the best things about the Tenkaichi series was the character interactions before battle, it's amazing to see the expanded it to characters that definately never interacted prior. Makes the battles feel all the more personal and immersive.
The beam struggles will never be the same having to tap a button. Bring back the furiosity of testing your controller's stick limits!

Hold on they are things left to be polished like the beam size, and the high speed movement camera looks kinda weird the way it blinks and changes angle. Other than that so far it looks ok the blue aura needs more detail too.

Not sure if anyone noticed but the beam clash temporarily sent them to the time space dimension where Blue Gogeta and Broly fought after their beam clash.

I think thats something only the super powerful characters like gods and broly will have as it wouldn’t make sense between gohan ss2 and perfect cell

The sheer amount of details, the authenticity to the series.... I have never been so hyped for a game in my life!!!
They took out a few details. Theres no passive aura every tenkaichi and budokai had a passive aura. The beams are small. Super Kamehameha in Tenkaichi was big in this game final flash looked small. I dont know why they got rid of essential details
