Quite a bit of real estate this site has, it real is huge from what I see. Some of the best close-ups and accel/decel footage GWR 800's very nice. Great looking day, nice looking passengers and an awesome film a real relaxer. Thanks for your hard work! B.P.
The site itself is huge, the car park is by far and away the biggest structure here, it almost hides the station behind it. The GWR 800's have certainly got some get up and go to them :)
Makes me wonder why the Freight hasn't used the property more, why they refused the Mail Co.? All things aside it's pretty quiet there. Yeah 800's ooooohh.. Thanks again! B.P.
In two Mondays time me and Charlie are train spotting at Hayes and Harlington on the gwr mainline and Me and Charlie can't wait to meet you at London Paddington.
13:23 I think this is due to the fact that they are diesel electric hybrids. They run in electric motors while the diesel part is the generator, generating electricity for the motors. Well obviously they can run off electrical power via pantographs and overhead wires.
I will go back there but it wont be for a long while as I'm now focussing on my GWML series and then after that I have several large stations I wish to get filmed before the end of the year
Because it depends on what part of the network they were originally on and what depot they would've come from, the HST sets get changed on a daily basis and the way this particular set was put together meant that it was running in reverse formation that day. Whether or not it got changed that night I wouldn't know
Tornado922 well i saw it at Llanelli and first class was at the back of the train so when it leaves Swansea it will be on the london end and thats good cause first class should always be at the london end
Great video look forward to watching them on ur Q & A part 1 somebody asked if you would ever go to Blackpool north and u were uncertain about people being moved on the best person to ask is NODROG on here he seams to be well informed about Blackpool
It all depends on how fast the train is going. If it's going at near full speed through a station then the panning shot is going to be the same speed. However in cases like this then I will go as fast or slow as I deemed to be necessary to get the majority of the train in the shot.
Great video 👍
Thanks very much for saying so
Brilliant video as always :)
Thanks very much for saying so
Lovely video fella. brilliant trains coming and going

Awsome vid as usual

Could you go to tyseley again please?
I will go back there but it wont be for a long while as I'm now focussing on my GWML series and then after that I have several large stations I wish to get filmed before the end of the year
Great video :)
Thanks very much :)
Great video
Thanks very much
You should try do trains at Exeter st David's mate
I have every intention of going there at some stage either later this year or early next year
Great vid
Thanks very much
7:17 I always thought they ran with 1st class at the town end, not the country end.
yeah they do always at the london end
They do unless they are running in reverse formation which this HST set was doing that day
Well, there is a certain kind of logic to that I suppose LOL
7:17
Your lucky to get 158961 to Brighton it's a 2-train a day limited service
Then I'm just very fortunate
great video mate. that HST set was not back to front cause first class should always be in the london end
That HST set was running in reverse formation that day, I double checked with the train dispatchers once I had finished filming here
but how. first class is always should be on the london end
Because it depends on what part of the network they were originally on and what depot they would've come from, the HST sets get changed on a daily basis and the way this particular set was put together meant that it was running in reverse formation that day. Tornado922 well i saw it at Llanelli and first class was at the back of the train so when it leaves Swansea it will be on the london end and thats good cause first class should always be at the london end
Again it all depends on where it is on the network and what work was done to the train in the depot overnight
I like Bristol Parkway station
The 800s look sleek
Great video look forward to watching them on ur Q & A part 1 somebody asked if you would ever go to Blackpool north and u were uncertain about people being moved on the best person to ask is NODROG on here he seams to be well informed about Blackpool
Thank you for saying so and thanks for the information I shall remember that for future use
Great video, will you be visiting Blackpool north soon?
Probably not till next year
What is CrossCountry’s speed limit? Isn’t is 100mph?
Yes it is, because of the routes that they have to take it involves several crossing which limits their speed
Tornado922 but in general they’re capable of 125mph?
Why is there loads of class 66
They use it as a sidings for loco's that aren't being used that day
When your filming a fast train turn the camera at the middle of the train Slowly it looks much nicer
It all depends on how fast the train is going. If it's going at near full speed through a station then the panning shot is going to be the same speed. However in cases like this then I will go as fast or slow as I deemed to be necessary to get the majority of the train in the shot.
was this filmed on Saturday 4th august because it was not a Sunday
It was indeed. I had changed the date when I saw your comment
