Dumb question: dignity is different to debilitation isn't it? As you were speaking I was waiting for you to mention combustion but then, combustion creates debilitation, which (together with dignity and other factors) all influence the overall planetary "strength"?
I really should have clarified that somewhere in this video. Thank you for bringing it up. I'll pin this comment. **"Debilitation" is just a synonym for "fall".** In other words, debilitation **IS** fall. Its just another name for "fall."
I don't know where this word came from, or how long it has been in use. The Sanskrit term is nīca, which literally means "lowly" or "fallen." So I am really not sure where the word "debilitated" started. I have a habbit of using the term as well. I think "fallen" is probably a better term.
Combustion is not a factor in dignity, btw. Its a separate factor.

I almost added echo! I decided against it because i wasnt able to get an echo/reverb that matched the natural setting, and didn't want to spend hours tweaking a small detail like that, which most people would probably get annoyed by anyway. =)

Yes please - I would also love your perspective on whether dignities should be calculated tropically or sidereally. As a tropical astrologer myself, I sometimes struggle with dignities (especially exaltation) given the fact that these concepts date back to Babylonian astrology. Thank you, Vic.
love it! would like to know more on mars specifically as I have a debilitated mars in cancer 7th house and brave/ rash analogy hits home here. Would love to learn more about other planets as well (especially the interesting bond between saturn and venus). Are there mythological stories on planet's frienship/ enmity- if feasible for you, would love to hear them from you!
also, can you shed some light on practical to-do's to counter act the effects of undignified planets/ placement?

Well explained the foolhardiness and courage through Mars, that Mars is not headless but can make one win or lose there own dignity. I have mars in scorpio it's own sign yet the sacrifices have taken a centre stage during big events of life. We worship Lord Hanuman for he has most dignified Mars which depicts in his devotion, integrity, Courage, valour and humility.

To this scale of dignity, we can add aspects, conjunctions, degrees and houses. A fallen Moon at 25 degrees of Scorpio is not as bad as 2 degrees of Scorpio, given that it's only 1 degree away from its deepest degree of fall. E.g. a fallen Moon in houses 6, 8, and 12 will cause more grief than usual.
i will get into the importance of degrees when discussing "recursivity" in dignity.

Brilliant video! Astrology is in a weird state where people mix the basics with crazy superfitial stuff. I would love a video on rulership (how a position of a planet affects what it rules)
This was fascinating to consider, particularly with letting the harvest grow to term and then taking out the weeds. How can you be sure if someone will have the dignified response (especially if you trust them) if you don't try and see what shit goes down. Not to mention all the ways low dignity can be mediated or cancelled. No one should justify their worst with a bad planet in glee. Look what Vic did with his Moon in Gemini in 6th. We have no excuse.

Regarding the exalted Mars, “More active in expressing its positive traits” this perfectly aligns with it’s exaltation nakshatra which is Dhanishta, I believe there was a survey done regarding violent crimes and Mars in Dhanishta was the placement which ranked the lowest. Excellent video, it was very helpful 🙂
