This is the big boy. The hardest song in the game by an extremely wide margin (unless you're in the EU region). 3:16 for why.
This took a staggering amount of time to FC, like between 3 and 4 hours. This was before I discovered that strumming everything GH1 style magically makes HOPOs much easier to hit. This game seems to have something like a strum limit effectively, but for HOPOs. Power Gig is similar, hammer ons just become very flaky and random if they'll hit or not above a certain NPS.
I used a bunch of wacky tricks to FC this dumb solo - "towel speed" using an always-on-top window, moving my monitor closer to my face, etc. The combo of those two worked really well. The lack of hyperspeed in this game is a killer for me on hard songs, and this alleviated that.
If anyone brings up how Acai FC'd this solo on his second try you're getting blocked I'm still salty about that.

This was played on the DeSmuME emulator using a guitar controller, not a real Nintendo DS and guitar grip. Every time I hear an Ozzy song, I get the sense that the conversation is basically the guitarist going, "Okay, how do you want to handle the solo for this song?" and Ozzy is just like, "Yes."

You've reached it. On the guitar grip this is one of the hardest sections, *EVER* it's so much harder to hit solo sections on grip and they put THAT in, i can get the rest of the song easy but holy shit that solo is nuts. *BECAUSE IT'S IN A DS GAME, WHO THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA*
Yeah, I FC’d this on the second try on Clone Hero but I have had no dice on the original hardware.
I haven’t even been able to hit the little star power trill, this engine just demands perfection.

👏🏼 this 👏🏼 hecking 👏🏼 song 👏🏼 I also had to do the whole "use star power to save your ass" thing just to get past that solo. Somehow, I still managed to 5 star this song.

Which unfortunately, is also a constant reminder that RB2DLC got the dibs for all the modern Ozzy stuff when GH5DLC just got a Black Sabbath pack.
Absolute bangers of a song. Probably one of the greatest party songs to come out for a while.
This song would've been absolutely perfect for Guitar Hero 5 or Warriors Of Rock. I can only imagine how amazing this would've looked and felt on either of those two entries, and it definitely would've been done justice, as opposed to here.
Visions must have know this solo was near impossible to hit too, cause I somehow got 5 stars on this song dispute needing to do the old “star power to save your ass during a hard part” trick
I still remember my first time reaching the solo on this song in expert as a little kid. I failed out immediately and probably shit myself.

HERE IT IS, THE INSANE ONE. Really an awesome song, I’m glad it’s here, but sucks it never got rereleased in Guitar Hero. Rock Band 2 got it as DLC though, so that’s cool.
I don’t know what VV were thinking with making a chart so insanely difficult in this engine. I think Marbler is the only person who has ever FC’d this on a DS?

I literally cannot believe this video is from less than 5 years ago. How on earth did you get that recording???? My sister introduced me to this game when I was around 7, and I've loved it ever since. I just dug my DS out of my stuff and started playing yesterday-- though I have 22/25 on Expert, ive never been able to beat this level. MAD PROPS!

Wanna know what we used to do back in the day to compensate for the lack of hyperspeed in the game? We took a sticky note and placed it on top of the top half of the DS screen that shows the notes and it effectively worked as a hyperspeed cheat.

Id say it more feels like the Hit Widow shifts for both this and PG, in PG being that you have to hit early, while here you have to hit late for Hopos to register more, either way its just odd.
