    Esther, you are such a wonderful teacher, thank you for taking time to make these easy to follow videos, without people like you sharing this knowledge, I don’t think I would have got into the intricate pattern mandalas, so thank you to all designers, and yourself for taking the time (precious time) making these most helpful instructional videos, I couldn’t have done it without you💐💖🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    I absolutely adore learning from your video tutorials! You have such a lovely voice... so calming to listen to and the way you explain things as well as show exactly what to do makes this the second best video tutorial I’ve ever followed! The very best one is your Tunisian 10-stitch blanket tutorial. Thank you so much 😊

    Thanks so much for posting!! This is how I was actually taught to make giant granny afghans waaaay back in the 70's. I didn't know there was another way until many years later. :) I love this style the best.

    Some indicate that you have to turn your work so edges stay straight and there are different methods. Do you find on this spiral method that you get a nice square. This is beautiful and seems easier. Thanks

    • @Itsallinanutshell

      alsolutally, any border with the correct stitch count and/or repeat will work.

    Easy to follow but not so easy to see, lighter yarn would have been easier to see the stitches. Going to give it a try.

  • @debras2845
    @debras2845 2 года назад

    You added the two stitches on one side to make it spiral or connect. Why does that side continue to have more stitches. Is it to keep shape? Thanks I was able to find pattern.

    Mine is curling. Will it eventually lay flatter or am I doing something wrong?

    • @Itsallinanutshell
      @Itsallinanutshell  6 лет назад

      Yes, as it grows it will lay flat.

    • @lovetheworld2999
      @lovetheworld2999 6 лет назад +2

      I'm sure this won't be of much help for you now but hopefully it can help someone else. Mine was curling far too much so I changed the corners to (1 double crochet, chain two, 1 double crochet) it made it lay flat for me

    Started this last night love the pattern! But how do i change colors?

    • @barbarawiseman930
      @barbarawiseman930 4 года назад

      I think the example is done in variegated yarn, so the colours change automatically. If you want to change colours you can do it on any stitch. On a dc use the new colour for your last yo and pull through.

    • @nojackson1
      @nojackson1 4 года назад

      Barbara Wiseman yea for mine I started with a solid color i just want to make sure when I switch colors that it’s at the start of a new row so it’s not uneven

    • @Itsallinanutshell
      @Itsallinanutshell  4 года назад

      Indeed, this is a variegated yarn, so no need to change colors, hence there is no description in the video. Just change at a moment that feels logical to you.

    I’ve been trying this pattern for months now, and every time I get to round 6 it starts to slant towards the right, I’ve used bigger hooks, looser tension, tighter tension even. How do I avoid the slant? Do I need to block it as I go?

    • @Itsallinanutshell
      @Itsallinanutshell  Год назад +1

      I would expect it to slant to the left, not the right.... I don't know, a photo would help. Maybe consider asking the designer, Ionly did the video. www.lookatwhatimade.net

    NICE! THANK YOU Im searching for a sc solid square tutorial. I'v found only 1 and its for lefties only(sadly) & one in japanese without subtitles or translation options.. again sadly! lol. I'd like no holes .. even for a dbl but desperate for a sc. I thought you would be the best place to ask for help..after all my days and hours of searching. Maybe I'm asking for wrong type of square in searches. I'm just worn out over it. I did try to watch the later i'd found n count, calculate what I should do. She to went continuous Loved it but..? that was not working. Ive been playing with it for weeks.. Im about to give up... Can you help? thank you for any help or non lol

    • @Itsallinanutshell
      @Itsallinanutshell  5 лет назад +1

      just make a row based sc square. you can use my crochet fundamentals video on how to make sc in rows. it's the same idea. make as many stitches as you want it wide, and then work as many rows as you need to get it square

    • @kathleenchamp3764
      @kathleenchamp3764 5 лет назад

      @@Itsallinanutshell thank you! I don't want to make a row by row back and forth. I want to go in the circular/ round to create the square. If that's what your explaining I apologize. It reads your saying go back n forth in rows instead. I sure appreciate your ideas though ❣

    How many grams/yards does this use?

    • @Itsallinanutshell
      @Itsallinanutshell  Год назад +1

      A LOT. This is a yarn eater, it really depends on how big you want the square to be. On the website of the designer you will find yarn amounts, link in description
