I'm so glad I found your Channel. I have been in finance for 15 years and I am about to start a new job as a business support officer and I'm doing some research to prepare myself. Your videos have been very helpful. Thank you
True! after over 15yrs in the role in many companies... adpatation to the new techs is a must and all you say too! I am not an English EA, but glad to know this is the same! hehe! I would also include knowing or better said, learning protocols when speaking to different companies or people. Even with different cultures in our globalized world! for example Germans, Brits or americans in general are so different when speaking, writing or so on. So I recommend to be careful with how we aproach them (or so I have learned) if we don't want to be rude.
Yes I agree that different cultures have a different way of corresponding... sometimes we only learn what they are when we make mistakes, but I have found that they too have to learn the way we talk also, so all cultures are learning from each other :D.
My favorite one is making the to-do list and then not looking at it 🤣🤣🤣 it sounds so obvious but I’ve done that. I realized after many experiments that my to-dos need to be emails to myself with the task in the subject line. Then I never miss anything!
Thank you so much Megan, if you are starting a new job as an EA, you should also watch my video on what to do in the first 90 days. Good luck with your new job :) ruclips.net/video/k92d2KaH8pM/видео.html
Hey Megan, how is the role going? I’m interviewing for the position and getting really excited about it. It’s a new position for me so would love to hear how the first 2 months have been for you!
I inherited a role that has evolved into a EA position however, I do not have that title. Twelve months and 5 high level executives later, I'm completely burned out. You are correct when you say this position is NOT for everyone.
It sounds like you may be in a toxic environment... maybe look for another place to work and see if you being an EA is or isn't for you. Sometimes the it's not the role but the company that sucks. I wish you luck.
@@executiveassistantoasis thank you. I have requested a meeting with the CEO and will be meeting with them at the end of the month. My goal is for clarity, structure and LONG overdue pay raise. I just subscribe to your channel- excellent content!
@@executiveassistantoasis I had to come back and let you know that your videos are so incredibly helpful and to the point! I was offered a position as an EA for the upcoming the CEO I had been assisting, we meet next week. The responsibilities are 85% of what I have been doing but as much as I want to I don't think it's fair that I accept the job- a reluctant pass. CEO is in another state and I'd be doing both of us a disservice. Again thank you for your content, I will continue to watch them!

I wish you well in your new role. Watch my video on what to do in the first 90 days... I think that will help you also. Good luck :)

What works for one person may not work for another. It's great you discovered what works for you. Thank you so much for your comment.
Great video. You were frank about the role and what things an EA shouldn’t do. Thank you.
Thank you Rasheed for your feedback.
About to start working as an EA tomorrow! Your video is great
