That sledgehammer shot 12:20 isn't an employee smashing the glass while tourists are standing on it; it's from a safety test in June 2016, two months before the bridge opened to the public. (There's a video of it on RUclips called "Video: Sledgehammers used in dramatic safety test for glass-floor bridge in China.") And the terrified guy at 12:25 isn't on Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge at all; he's on the East Taihang Glasswalk 750 miles away, which has a fake glass-cracking special effect to make the experience scarier.
Absolutely...which is scarier...a roller coaster with safety guidelines, or an old, narrow wooden board walk on the side of a mountain with no guide rails?????????
OK is it just me or is walking on wooden planks on the side of a mountain with NO SAFETY equipment wayyy more dangerous than the "#1" roller coaster 🤔 like...TF🤨😭
@@ladyliberation3852 I... Did? I'm not sure that I said I think EVERYONE feels this way I simply said I feel like it should 😂 but yeah I suppose those dolls are freaking terrifying
They are actually lying. That plank route is a side attraction path you need to pay to take. It's also a deadend so you need to walk to and from. The main path up the mountain is absolutely tiresome though as there are line 10s of thousands of stairs
The wooden planks look absolutely ancient and shoddily nailed together... You could not pay me enough to walk along that. I'd be very interested to know how was such a thing built in the first place???
I rode in the cablecar for #12 in Zhangjiajie, China. As someone kind of afraid of heights, my legs turned into jello during the last of 5 minutes of that ride. After that, there is a glass walk along the edge of the mountain to a view point. I remember I clung on to every branch along way as it is a bottomless pit when you look down. It took me about 45 minutes to compose myself to continue further.... that said, it is my most favourite & memorable place I’ve ever travelled to.
Right... a canadian roller coaster that I've been on multiple times is scarier than a cliff walk with no safety equipment. I think I know who's sponsoring this video.
Let me get this straight. The number one scariest thing on this list is a Canadian roller coaster? A tall, fast roller coaster, but still, it's just a roller coaster. How in the world is that even remotely as scary as the Chinese Sketch Walk of Death listed at number 2? Did no one proof read this list?
yeah, I've been on Yukon striker. my friend passed out lol but it was awesome. it was sunset and we were at the top for a second, and she looked at it, and said oh pretty! then as she said that the drop started and I just heard oh fuck! then silence almost the rest of the ride lol. we wanted to go again, but the park was closing. sure it was extreme, but its still just a roller coaster. there's a lot more to be afraid of on the mountain walk in china. with the weather conditions that can change on a dime and the boards that look nearly a hundred years old, there's genuine life threatening danger. sure the striker would seem really scary to some people, but at the end of the day, its just a roller coaster. generally very safe, especially in highly successful parks that are able to take care of their equipment like Canada's wonderland. I feel like it doesn't deserve number one on this list, especially when taking its contenders into account.
That ride in Las Vegas called “Insanity” , is indeed insane! No way on hell I would ride in that “Insanity”, it is for the birds . And the bungy jump, another insane jump. I am afraid of heights so no rides for me. Incredible rides and dangerous.
We did those rides after marrying in Vegas, what an experience! Imagine the people that paid big money for the rides and once at the rides decided that it's too much. We saw several up there.
I rode it. The slingshot ride on the very top was probably scarier since it moves much faster and more suddenly and you feel like you are going to fly off the top. Insanity was crazy but with centrifugal force you don't really feel like you will fall out.
Haha I rode the 3 rides at the top of the Stratosphere in Vegas with a bunch of my dance students.... I remember when the floor dropped away from Insanity and we went out 100 stories over the streets of Vegas... I thought.... "We could die" 🤣 then I thought... "No, they wouldn't let us do this if we were in danger"! Hahahaha 🤣🤣🤣 But honestly, the one where it jerks off the top of the building and then abruptly stops, retracts and does it again is the one that freaked me out. I thought... If the brakes on this thing go, we are flying to our deaths! Lol
@Megan George, from six to sixteen years of age, I was an acrobat and unlike most acrobats, I used to do some dangerous and crazy stuff on cemented pavement, which meant that if something went wrong, I would either die or get seriously injured. However, today, I am exactly like you, and not in the least interested in thrill seeking. In fact, I even get scared just by thinking of the things I did on cemented pavement, and ask myself why did I not do them only on trampolines like everyone else
I did the Insanity ride in Vegas, and there was a delay before we could get on due to high winds. Not gonna lie, that made it just a TAD bit scarier lol.
When I was watching #2 I almost had a stroke. That one is scarier than many of the others put together. With that rotten plant walk, you can die at any time. Can't say the same about the other attractions.
#7 Doll Village is not scary, it seems like a sweet memorial for the people who loved this town and miss their loved ones. I think it's actually pretty lovely in this scary world.
There was a monster waterslide in Germany years ago that was torn down after a 10yr old boy was decapitated. Witnesses said the boys body came down first followed by his head. Truly horrific,
He was internally decapitated- meaning his spinal cord was severed but his head stayed attached to his body. People need to stop dramatizing an already traumatic death.
It was in Kansas City, it was named Verrücktheit. German for Insanity. Yes, a ten y.o. boy was killed and it was torn down a few years later after never reopening again. So tragic for the family.
