Can't stop watching because
1. The music
2. I love electricity
So we have the same strage taste for strange things. :-D
Photon`s HV supply!
High voltage and trance music in one! all right!
Excellent job on the the collection of photos!! That generator must have been amazing during its time, just some of the equipment still left there is awesome!
I have a project at work right now that includes lightning tests for a new aircraft component. I didn't realize this facility was built for doing such "normal" work! Thanks.
Wauw! wat ziet dit er angstaanjagend mooi uit, zonde als het niet meer gebruikt wordt.
Incredible...i wonder if this generator can still run?
This is still the "BEST VIDEO"
on youtube....! The music goe's so well with the video". When I watch this video everytime I do' it gives me shivers down my spine!!!
Love this video. I wish i could visit that place. Thanx again friend for sharing this video. My life is complete ;-)
BIG THIMBS UP*
I have the same feeling about this place.
its very sad to see the high voltage equipment to destroy.
thanks for watching
20kilovolt..
Now, thanks to 20 kilovolt I found the both facilities and marked them as my Google Earth places. One day I'll go there to take some photos!
Even seeing this thing inactive and through a RUclips video it scares the crap out of me but... high voltage it's just so fascinating! I would have seen this thing in action...
this is still the best video on youtube!! i watch this over again from time to time. i realy do love this video. ;-)
BIG THUMBS UP*
Unrelated but the music sounds so nostalgic
To je nádhera děkuji.
Moje potěšení😁
Impressive and terrifying place! What an awesome filming location this would make!
Absolutely fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
This site is like the holy grail of high voltage.. Should be preserved if it still exists. Everything from this era in US is long gone.. Everything. Cool this has been documented and uploaded thanks.
preserved? It is still in use 😂🤣😂 i made a playlist of this test area enjoy 😁

Kamikadze2009 i have seen your awesome slideshow.
thanks for place this at youtube
i enjoyed it a lot
It just make me think how you got to give this video the perfect music!?! The first time I watched this it gave me a tear...;(
I'm sad I know lol, but its just so perfect!! ;-)
thanks.. the music is from: cygnus x - the orange theme
Some of the devices seem to be testing transformers, usually cascaded, like at 1:53 (first stage to the left, second stage in the middle). 3:01 even seems to be a three-stage configuration.
@GingleGangle1: The transformer at 1:08 is made in germany,
the high voltage facility is in russia.
that is beautiful music playing over the slideshow
Awesome place! I wish to have it as my HV lab, also its a great place for insulator hunting. Thumbs up
Super brilliant CONGRATULATIONS!!❤
Thanks.
a year later, the website went back online.
its the first link "capturedlightning"
Everything is perfect in this video, the music is unbelievably appropriate. Although the manier humans can treat technical devices and abandon them is horrible and makes me cry seeing all that in such a condition!!!
yes music gives to this movie 90% of beauty:)
@TomozukiII
I don't know but i think the marx generator still works
it don't need the peripherals to operate.
This facility is for testing electrical components/equipment during a artificial lightningstorm.
and for measurements about the maximum distance of high voltage powerlines.
also research about electromagnetic pulses are done here.
to measure the behaviour of electrical components while exposed to EMP's
and many more scientific projects.
Thank you dividebyN for you response.
Thanks for your Comment HedgehogTH
I saw you live in St.-Petersburg so I thought maby you can film this awesome location
if you can do that you will make me and a lot of people very happy.
What an awesome research center. As an HV enthusiast I hate to see this part of history going to ruins. Very Impressive to say the least..
@TomozukiII
This facility is for testing all kind of stuff like rocket an aeroplanes
or electrical components/equipment during a artificial lightningstorm.
and for measurements about the maximum distance of high voltage powerlines.
and many more scientific projects.
recently there was a test at this facility so its still in use.
@dzodzer: yes this side look like a UFO refuel station :)
The high voltage of 7 Mv is achievable by multiply 250.000Vdc 28 times.
Is that place abandoned? The equipment looks rather old and neglected but I find it strange that they would leave it all there if it wasn't going to be used?
Surely it would have a high scrap value?
When was the place built?
@soundseeker63
it is protected only authorized personnel can enter this area.
it is built around 1967. 1:13
nice music, nice pictures, im guessing its not in use anymore, thats sad, if they had listened to teslas reseach you wouldnt need all of the marx step up systems, just specially designed tesla coils like wardenclyffe. wardenclyffe would generate voltages above 30 million volts - 100 millionand even more than this!! poor tesla . great video thank you, places like these should be made into museums with running devices! thank you
Increible¡
You have a nice channel about Tesla's articles very interesting.
for more pictures from the 7 Mv marx generator look at more info.
the music is from: cygnus x - the orange theme
Yeah! That's true! My favorite since 2008 :)
Cool stuff
Zeker.. Ik heb ook een afspeel lijst van meer mensen die deze test locatie hebben gefilmd.
Ik hoop er ooit een keer een kijkje te kunnen nemen.
That place looks amazing
I wonder if it's still operational
Unfortunately, i don't think it is
yes the 9 megavolt Marx generator in St.-Petersburg is the largest.
This facility is made for testing electrical components during a lightningstorm.
and other scientific projects.
I'm not quite sure of my calculation but the marx generator gives a pulse of 1,225 Mega joules that would be 340.27 KWh
0.34027kWh
@20kilovolt
Thanks for the info :) Is it still in use?
Thanks Anthony :)
Perhaps it is wise to download this movie.
How did u get those pictures of inside?
@LordDonib I would not know what the purpose is of this part of the facility.
the neighbor facility (Аллюр) is a very big EMP generator its able
to make 10 x 10 x 10 meter of EMP wave's.
Аллюр is not visible in my video.
watch?v=-9xhbMclcCw
watch?v=3T9lwg436Oo @ 4.40
its the white structure.
hey man i put up a bunch of stuff on his wireless energy transfer if you are interested. thanks for this video, did you make the music, i love that so much, really well written!!
Photoninduction's wet dream :-D
Russia makes the coolest stuff. What i would not give to visit Russia and explore for about a year at least.
Vše muselo být v SSSR Mega.. :)
in the Netherlands is there a maximum by law of 380 KVAC except the HVDC lines that are 450 KVDC. and 700 Mw.
Ah ecco mi pareva strano, in effetti non avevo mai sentito di linee da 1 MV o più attive in Italia.
Seriously? wow..Would love to visit a place like this if it wasnt so far away, love HV facility..
@20kilovolt Iooks nice...but how impressiv must it be when it turns to 100% of his power?
What are they used for
How much do you think each of those capacitors or resistors is worth? (if they were new and being sold at a store).
Also what are those corugated cyclinders (the brown ones at 3:13, or the clear ones at 3:08)
High voltage insulators (clear are glass suspensions, and brown are post type and made of porcelain)
indeed some of the photos are made in St.-Petersburg.
yes I recognize the white marx tower.
850 kv is not the maximum power of this facility.
i think this facility can create 5 Mv.
thanks :)
Russia has a history of mega voltages. There is a transmission line capable of carrying 1150kv (the highest voltage ratting in the world) in Russia and Kazakstan.
What was THIS used for?
Probably for testing aircraft and studying how air ionizes and arcs form.
Yhis music is like ideal for the purpose.
Is this place still abandoned or someone began to work again there?
Is that really near Novosibirsk? Can you show that in Google Earth for example?
It is a Multistage Impulse Generator. It uses to test transformer, circuit Breaker and switch-gear. Am I right ?
Был на одном из объектов в Питере. Там очень крутая атмосфера
Do you know teslamap57 its a program to calculate your teslacoil components
well it's gone this way: I had found a website with these images and for convenience I have saved them but when I later watched the website and it was gone. so I wanted to have it back online and have created this movie.
I have tried several types of music, but this fits so good that I had put it immediately on youtube
What was the purpose of those generators?
Thank you. Is that the same facility, where a woman is sitting in her car while a lightning strikes it?(The video is called 850 kV).
@TheOpticalFreak : idd ik zou er graag een keer willen rond lopen.
Zelf denk ik dat de marx generator nog in gebruik is.
It's the Darma Initiative headquarters!!!
Nice music!
all the url's can you find by "more info"
ther are a lot more pictures than in my movie
@BarneySaysHi yes he would and I think if we had free energy he would be verry proud that was his master piece energy for everyone
so fucking cool, thats just amazing
WOW, I wish they would put that stuff on Ebay!
Some of these photos are from the now up and running again Marx generator in Moscow.
Awweeesomeee O_O
would be nice if it goes back to work...wanna see this things working...7 mega voIt marx...that wouId be crazy to see heII yea!
Half of photos is make at us in St.-Petersburg
What if a lightning bolt hits the voltage multiplier? Ohohoho!
thanks for watching high1voltage1rules :D
when was this place built? and by the way TESLA REALLY DOES RULE!!
как же там было весело тогда....
красивые игрушки
точно, жаль забросили или там охрана? я бы там кондесаторов набрал бы))))
он все еще используется
плачевный вид....
@high1voltage1rules
thanks again m8
If this place is abandoned, would it be possible to get some capacitors out of there?
I think those big caps would be rather expensive to buy and it would be fun to do HV-Stuff with those^^
One of these caps would store around 1367 Joules @125kV, that would be cool.
That facilty has a fence and it's guarded by dogs. I'd say it's inactive, not abandoned.
@@GeoSciful You are right. I heard, they even restarted it in 2014 and made some sparks, so it is at least partially functional. It would be a sin to steal equipment from such a facility as long as it is working. Back then (13 Years ago) I thought it was totally abandoned and a decaying ruin.
you are a knight of light mr putin
thanks
Why did they use a Marx generator instead of a Cockcroft Walton multiplier?
at 2:41 is a Cockcroft Walton multiplier.
Cockroft Walton multipliers can supply high voltage, but not high current. A Marx generator can deliver both, making it similar to a lightning.
the thing at 1:21 is a 600kv DC tranceformer!
5:30 emp research?
nice
thanks
This is not a so called 'HAARP' in FSU but a multiple HV PSU/source in order to test the longevity of electrical insulating equipment for HV a.c. transmission gear. Not too dissimilar to the old facility in Leatherhead near London UK, which was used for similar purposes (UK NGC reserach). Massive tesla coils, mark's gens & cockroft multipliers too. Big arcs, big bang's - nirvana for HV heads like me. Cool vid + music. 10/10.
Check it out though - partially still operating! Would love to visit.
I love this video. Yeah I'm commenting again, haha
It's just got to be the best !!
Thanx 20kilovolt ya awsome friend! ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
BIG MASSIVE THUMBS UP*
;-)
Very Tesla-y. Also... at first I thought that that was literal LIGHTNING. o.o must move there...
