I want to express my appreciation to you for making this video. The run is fantastic but I also find this the most chill way to watch this game, Will be watching this many more times to come!. Thank you!
1st off i wanna say congrats to this run. Good work. 2nd thanks for helping me understand this game a little better. i've played this off and on since i was about 11(i am 36 now) and just never understood exactly what the entire point of this game was. I even went back to this game in my 20's in hopes that maybe it was my impatient youth but nope still never got it. although i admit i still don't fully understand what you're suppose to do i do understand a whole lot more then i did based on what i saw. and for that i thank you for that.
Спасибо за прохождение!!! Помню раньше не мог пройти дальше вонючих подземелий. И интернета не было, чтобы поглядеть как всё это нормально пройти, а книжка с прохождением мало давала информации. Ещё раз спасибо!!!
Been many years (20+ I would guess) since I have played this game. Little tip.... Always use the "red shirts" (regardless what color they are actually wearing) on away missions instead of the main characters, unless you specifically need one of them to complete the task (for example, Geordie is best in the mines, because he can see where the minerals are without scanning for them). If one of the "nobodies" goes down, they just beam that one character up to the ship and you can continue on the mission, one man down, using the next character on your team without having to start over. If a main character goes down, you are forced to return to the ship. If any of the main characters goes down too many times on away missions, Captain Picard has a nervous break down and ends the game, and you lose. If Captain Picard himself goes down too many times on away missions, Doctor Crusher ends the game, and again, you lose. If a so called "red shirt" goes down, you can continue until you run out of them and have to put your main characters in danger again...
Thanks for the tip on the red shirts! I hadn't realized that before. Mostly, the goal with a speedrun is that no one ever goes down at all, because I usually need all four so I can spread out around the map. If anyone goes down, it's usually a reset of the run. I used to have a route that did some forced beaming back to the ship, because you'd still have all of the minerals from the mines, but the current route is way better! Also, when you know the locations of all of the minerals, you don't even need Geordie to be able to see where they are. You can just pick them up regardless!

Thank you! Never would've finished this game without watching your play through. Just completed it.
