I'll tell you what if I knew that it was this complicated I would have never bought a Dodge Avenger. Just to change the battery out you have to take the driver's front wheel off.
Yeah dodge really did a horrible job making this car. I totally regret getting. A major nuisance. Gonna have to pay somebody just to replace the bulbs for the front turn signals, which I cannot afford.
Yeah that’s the worst part having to remove the whole tire to get to the battery, not to mention there’s always some type of shortage to the battery and I have to jiggle the cords to be able to start the car….
They're not owners best friends either. Came here to see if I'd be able to replace the bulbs for my front turn signals and it look like I'll have to pay somebody to do it which I can't afford. Dodge really did an epic fail when making this car. Don't know what made me get a dodge avenger. 🤦🏾♂️😢
You don't need to take the fender bracket off. A 10mm ratchet wrench will fit under there to take to side headlight bolt off. But a good how to on this.
do you know what size the front bracket bolts are (1m mm hex head wrench)? I couldn't find any information in the internet, mine are missing the bolts, and the bumper is not holding anymore
ADMIRABLE! Great mechanic with one hand, great film maker with the other. Only one remark: the bumper cover removal is critical for all you did. That was not illustrated. Yours anyway!
I am from the UK and just bought a dodge avenger sxt second hand, but the bumper is hanging a little loose at the sides. Do you have any suggestions what might be the cause or what i need to do to try and fix it to make it all flush? Of course being in the uk we don't have any dodge dealers and i am hesitant to take it to just any garage. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
@@DULLAHGOSOHARD thanks for your reply. i have been trying to see through the gaps to see if these are on but i cannot tell. I think ill need to partially remove the corner to see. Its mainly coming around under the headlamps where it seems to be loose.
@@DULLAHGOSOHARD in fact, i have just had a look through the gap with a torch in the dark and it does just seem like the bumper has been connected to the wing directly. I can't see any bracket there. So looks like you hit the nail on the head. Thanks for that. This is a great video too. Very detailed and informative!
My mechanic didn’t wanna fool with it, said it was a pain. I watched your video and feel like it’s obviously do able lol thank you for the video

If your dumb enough sure but just the bumper is needed

Thanks for posting. I just swapped out both front headlight assemblies on my 2014 Avenger using your video for guidance.
Thank you and great job!! More difficult than I expected it to be! I will ask a mechanic to do it. It's very cold here. Lol
Probably the easiest headlight ever!! It took me 15 minutes to have it done I have a 2010 charger as well and that nose cone is hell!
Thank you! Just used this video to swap out headlights on a 2013 Avenger.
Not a repair friendly vehicle.
Thank you so much for the video, I replaced the front passenger headlight with your help successfully 😀 👍👍👍
Wow between the siren and ur ultra low voice I almost heard nothing, but I get the idea , Thanks

Lol. The owner of mine showed me how to work on it before he died. I just forgot how to take the headlights out.

Thank you for the video. Now I know how to replace the head lamp assembly.

😳 I need to sell my Dodge Avenger
Has to be the worst dodge on the market & the 2013 is super shit
I know me too
Worst car I ever had! Just changing a signal light is a nightmare!
I'd sooner drive mine into a river rather than sell it. A major nuisance. 🤦🏾♂️
@@Teksani and that's what I came here for. I rather pay somebody to do that even though I can't afford it.
Thank you for this video

Do you know if I would need a conversion kit to install LED into my Avenger? Haven't seen anything online and figured I'd try asking you
Most kit will be plug and play
Drew Hardwick well did the LED work without the conversion kit? I’m about to install LEDs on my 2013 Avenger
They should work plug and play if you order the correct one for the car
you will need an anti flicker harness as well
Sweet deal

What do I do if the lights turn off when I turn them on a couple seconds later
People you can do this without taking all that off. Needle nose with one angled side to get out then you have room
Thanks, well done
So much work 😒
Which year is this 👀
Thanks, how do you change the fender on the dodge avenger?
Thanks!
Avenger 2008!?
That's why I'm here LOL

That battery is HELL then after awhile the cables ALWAYS got to be tightened up,just dumb and stupid
Why are you whispering.
Junk
Facts! Totally regret getting this car.

Try and order the bumper bracket that is what holds the bumper to the fenders for both side that suppose to hold the bumper flush
