    Just to confirm .. I tried the glue method grafting! I took two cuttings from an expensive bought double red and grafted them onto a regular Adenium and two weeks later I removed the plastic and I was shocked they actually "took" !!

    It is amazing technique of grafting with glue. Please clarify whether I can use quick fix glue for grafting. Another thing this technique can be used for ficus & hibiscus plants where stems are hard compare to adenium.

    • @growinggreenthumbs7497
      @growinggreenthumbs7497 2 года назад +1

      Thanks for your comment. I’m not familiar with quick fix glue but it sounds similar to superglue. Basically it instantly bonds after a few seconds. But remember you are bonding the outside of the graft point and not gluing between the cuts. Thanks and best of luck!

    Hello Robert
    what is the best time of year to do grafting on the desert roses?

    • @growinggreenthumbs7497
      @growinggreenthumbs7497 4 года назад

      Hi David, thanks for your question. I envy you living in South Florida. I would keep in mind your winter season and night time temperatures. Although during the day may be warm, if your night temperatures get below 70 degrees, it would lessen your chances of success. Ideally 80 and above with high humidity. Also with your rains , i would watch your watering as well. Hope that helps a bit. Thanks again!

      @@growinggreenthumbs7497 excellent thanks so Summer time is best then I was thinking it be way to hot to do so but will try it out
      here is a new vid idea i see your last one was a few years back on how to pant the seeds
      your method is different that most our there what I seen is they let the seeds that are going to be used soak in a container with warm water for like 24 hrs
      then they plant them more or lees like on your vids but keeping the soil humid by keeping in like a topperware / plastic container closed lid or zip lock
      i have even seen putting seed ins a damp paper towel and leaving it in a the plastic container also whats the best time of year to do this as I have not had any luck doing any of these methods
      thanks again

    • @growinggreenthumbs7497
      @growinggreenthumbs7497 4 года назад +1

      Anytime. It’s never really too hot because remember, you need to put these in the shade right after you graft to let it recover. I do plan to do another sowing seed video for sure. I actually have done all the methods you mentioned with success. Although spring and summer time is ideal to do that, most importantly you just have to keep the warmth up. You can do this artificially with heat mats or warm lighting.
