Great video Alex! I went to their site and checked out the pricing, which has a generous 40% off for members.

Unfortunately, no lifetime deals for current lifetime subscrbers, only annual version discounts.

@@hermjLet’s appreciate the fact that we CAN buy a lifetime version of the great backup & staging plugin
      AND
also, that the plugin developers get a regular income of the merging plugin to keep working & improving this new plugin. As a customer we are also granted a generous discount of 40%. So I think this is more then fair for both partners.
I do hope they are keeping all these and maybe more plugins up and running for years to come, as I like them very much.

what if in the meantime we have the addition of new items on the live site? And what about plugins, let's say I have a situation where I have to change the web builder and edit the design, and the orders continue and the client adds new products every day? Is this covered by the plugin?

This is exactly what I'm looking for! How does WPvivid compare to WP Migrate DB Pro?

can't it be done the other way around??? meaning; record the changes on the live site and merge them into the staging site...? then deploy the updated staging site to live?

I am curious if this only works via a staging site on the same server or if I could use Local to have a local/production staging workflow

yes, can use any methods you like for your staging setup, including local staging

Impressive! I always wanted a solution to redesign a live website with updates without a hassle!
Is the WPvivid the only solution for such a thing? There's no alternative...

Awesome, what happens if you not only change an existing page on the dev site but add a new page on the dev. Since woo uses the postID as orderID, it would be interesting how they merge it, since on both site we will have the next postID

great question, I just tested this and it works fine 👍 when running a recording, the plugin generates long postIDs that are outside the range of the prod site, then after merging it will find the next free postID to use to avoid conflicting, so the new page will have an ID newer than the woo orders receieved during the recording, hope that makes sense

@@IdeaSpot That's interesting. While this will work in many cases, sometimes we might have queries with postID's so this can potentially cause problems. Good to be aware of this, thank you.
