Again guys sorry for the pauses and cuts, took us 7 times to get the vid up..if you do appreciate our efforts..hit the like button please..more Pentatonix on the way..stay safe😷👍
Queen's lead guitarist Brian May's actually posted this video to his Facebook page right after it was released and simply said enjoy! I think that is quite an endorsement! How pleased Freddie Mercury would have been 😊 Also from what I have heard they waited 5yrs to do this one because they wanted to do it right!
The craziest thing is that the megaphone isn't putting any of that twang or any other effect on Mitch's voice during the "guitar solo". He sounds exactly the same live except for it being a little quieter
Scott has talked about this being a song that when they perform it live he has to really concentrate because it is so complex. It is not a song he can just do on auto-pilot.
I believe it. That’s a hard song to cover and they completely knocked it out of the park. Thanks James for taking time to comment and watch video. Stay safe !
I didn't mind the breaks and cuts, this was really fun to watch and I appreciate all the work you had to do to get it posted. Also the 'fun facts' you shared were a cool way to handle that! Great reaction, thanks.
Thanks Karla..it is frustrating to deal with..hate throwing off the flow..but we have to do what we have to do..stay safe..enjoy the weekend young lady 😊😷
😃👉Yes 3 of the members are childhood friends Scott (tall blonde) and mitch have been friends since they were 10 yrs old. Kirstie snd mitch have known each other since they were 8. Scott and Kirstie became best friends at 14. The 3 of them are from Arlington TX. They grew up doing theater and choir. When they got to high school they were known as The Trio. They entered the All ACAPELLA televised singing competition The Sing Off. Scott was told to get a bass and beatboxer to make them sound fuller He was introduced to Avi (bass) who is from California. And Kevin (beatboxer) who is from Kentucky. They won the 3rd season of the show!!
Wow Cecy..thanks for the info..we appreciate it..definitely a lot more songs from them to come..think next will be daft punk and mad world..have a great weekend
Kirsten, Scott and Mitch have known each other since they were kids so they mix so well because of that. Avi and Kevin joined THE DAY BEFORE they auditioned for The Sing Off. They just gelled really well. Totally amazing.
@@gusbr3akroom278 When you do Daft Punk, there is also a "No Mics Private Performance" video on youtube as well, that will amaze you. You MAY want to react to both at the same time. Well, not at the SAME time, but "double feature" kinda way. ::WARNING:: Daft Punk will blow your mind.
Scott, Mitch and Kristi met as children in Arlington, Texas. They sang together all through High School and then met up with Avi (Bass - although Scott has an impressiv bass too)and Kevin (beat box with a killer voice. Took part in Voice Off, an American talent show, won, went off to LA. The rest is history. Their voices are their instruments, and I love all of their songs. Check out Mary Did You Know and Little Drummer Boy. Also, since they are always having fun, check out their Frozen Mix. A riot. Yes, I am a Pentaholic. Saw them on stage doing Hallelujah and it was effing amazing.
Yes we reacted to a live performance from them..think it was Hallelujah..they are great..we have more vids on the channel of them..make sure you dont miss it👍👍
I especially love that you all acknowledged the hours and hours of practice that a performance on this level takes. Some reactors talk about "raw talent" and I want to shout at them, "No! It's highly polished and developed talent, and they put in countless hours of work to get this good," right back to their initial cultivation of their voices and musical skills.
I remember when y’all first saw PTX. I was so happy as a Pentaholic to see you go down such an amazing journey with PTX. Like I said before. Welcome to the rabbit hole and enjoy the ride! It is amazing ride!
Thank Kim..we try to give our best for you guys..even if it means doing a lil extra..glad you guys notice and appreciate the effort..thanks for watching as always..enjoy your weekend
Every time I see this, it blows my mind how well they do this rock song with NO instruments! And the way Mitch uses the megaphone to do the guitar solo... Amazing!
@@TheBr3akRoom You guys are great! I look forward to going back through your videos! Plus you told me Ptx Bohemian Rhapsody would be up on Friday and here it is. Thanks for keeping your word. ALOT of people's word means shit these days and you kept yours. Thanks again! ✌👍
Mitch does not have to have the megaphone. It’s just a prop. When they’re live, he does all the sounds without the megaphone. Can you believe he was bullied as a kid for his high voice? Who’s laughing now? Mitch.
So, in this video, at the start, the 3 on the back row from your left to right are Kirstin, Mitch and Scott. They all went to school together and sang together for years. I believe Scott knew of Avi through a friend and when they decided to audition for NBC's acapella show The Sing Off, they got together with Avi (bottom right) and recruited Kevin (bottom left). Kirstin sings from alto to mezzo soprano range, Mitch is a true counter-tenor (male with a range up to female soprano notes), Scott is a baritone who sings bass notes when Avi sings higher parts, Avi is a true classically trained bass singer (with range up to tenor) and Kevin is a classically trained cellist and saxophone player who provides the beat-boxing for Pentatonix. He has an amazing tenor voice as well, but was hesitant to sing when the group first got together. After they won the Sing Off, he started to sing a little here and there and eventually gained more confidence. He does some solo stuff you can find on RUclips under Kevin Olusola. On a few, he's in a studio playing cello, keyboards, drums, beat-boxing and singing on covers of songs. Check out Sign of the Times and Down. Avi left Pentatonix and was replaced by Matt (you can see him in their newer videos like Sound of Silence and Mad World. He has a bass voice in a similar range to Avi's but less projected and more R & B sounding. So basically, 5 amazing vocalists, with at least 3 who have amazing ranges as well.
@@TheBr3akRoom Oh, glad to share info where I can. There are a few other outstanding acapella groups too. Home Free was also on (and won) the Sing Off a year or two after Pentatonix. They're more of a country flair style but with the same amazing talents and abilities. Voice Play (also on the Sing Off the year Pentatonix won), and Voctave. Voctave is a bit different. 11 members, several of them with classical vocal training. A lot of them sing for Disney World shows in Florida so they have a bit of a Disney flavor to their songs. At that level of skill it all comes down to what style you prefer or what individual song blows you away even if you don't normally like that particular group's style. And we are all the ones who are blessed with the end product. :-)
If you want to see their start go watch their performances on the Sing Off. Mitch, Kirstie and Scott went to school together, but they added Avi and Kevin to go on the show. They meet in person just a couple of days before the show audition. The trio were 19 at the time, Avi and Kevin on their early 20's. Even back then they were pretty amazing!
I’ve been waiting for a while for this one. You made my day and thank you so much for persisting when it proved difficult. I knew I’d enjoy it more than ever when I listen with you. Thanks for posting.
Leskey you have no idea how frustrating that was..lol..7 times trying to upload and edit..then upload then edit..and again and again..just ridiculous...but we hate not keeping our word, so we got it up..thanks for watching with us..we have a lot more pentatonix on the way..mad world..daft punk..up next for them..stay safe..enjoy the weekend
I enjoyed your reaction. Thank you for trying g so hard to keep your word. I greatly appreciate your efforts. They are amazing. Most of us do not mind the pausing. We are here for the reactions as we have seen the videos many, many times.
Yeah usually when we explain the breaks and pauses its not for you guys..its for the 5-10%of fans that act as if they have never saw the video before.😂😂 but we still get complaints..so its whatever Vidsorama..we appreciate you watching with us..stay safe👍😷😊
Awesome reaction! Thank you for putting in that extra effort to get this uploaded. It was a lot of fun to watch... including Brian and his AC. :P Your videos make me smile... I'm very glad I subbed.
Hey Sonja 👋🏼!! Not a problem, glad you enjoyed the video!! Always nice to hear when our videos make someone smile 😊. We are going to glue Brian to the chair next time so he can’t get to a/c 🤣. Glad you subscribed as well. Welcome to our family !! Hope to hear from you in the future. Stay safe !
Even Queen couldn't do this song live on stage, because they did so many overdubs. The entire beginning of the Queen video, even though it shows all 4 of them, was entirely done by Freddie Mercury, singing all of the parts. They did overlays in several areas of the song on the recording, but the beginning was the one part that they never could get right on stage, so they generally started the song after the intro.
Definitely appreciate the effort to get it uploaded! If you want to see how the group was formed watch their first performance on the Sing Off, they did ET by Katy Perry. They talk a little bit about how they got together only 24 hours before the audition for the show! The next songs should be the Grammy winning songs, Daft Punk and then Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies 👍
Cool! We will check it out to get a little background on them. We plan on getting to all of those songs. Daft punk might be one of next we do though 😄. Thanks for watching and be safe !
Thanks..wish we didnt have to do any..want to throw in more fun facts but we have to let some people know why we are pausing or they will send us messages about messing up the vid..and that gets tiring real quick Theresa👍👍👍😊
The trio (Mitch, Scott, Kirstie) went to school together. They've been singing together since high school. They won the sing off after Avi and Kevin joined in 2011. The trio was only 19 at the time and Avi and Kevin were 22!!!
Scott, Kirsten and Mitch have been singing together for quite a long time. When they went on to the Sing Off they needed 2 more members and recruited Avi and Kevin.
Thanks for watching with us Robin..we appreciate you..PTX is a great group..we definitely will be doing more..Daft punk is already recorded and ready to be copyrighted 🤣🤣🤣
Shot on a city street in the cold. Note the reflector on the ground, the lines in the road and the asphalt repairs. Also, some fences and trees can be seen in the shots that occurred at dawn (or dusk). It musta been a cold one. They're dressed for cold weather and their breaths can be seen when the sing (lip sync) the lyrics early on. Kirsty looks frozen. Low budget but fun. I'd love to see the outtakes.
I really appreciate the effort you put into bringing this video to us! I don't mind the black screen with white writing, it's not as distracting as some pauses.
Yeah..sometimes we have to add pauses because of the copyright..but this was extreme..as far as the pausing when we record..the masses have told us to pause so we dont talk over the vid..plus it helps naturally break the vid up..wish we didnt have to do any of it..thanks for watching and commenting..we appreciate you
@@TheBr3akRoomI do like to hear your reactions, but that's not what I meant. Some reactors use the pauses to go off on a tangent that breaks the flow of what they are reacting to. I don't mind the black screen or your reactions to the video, which doesn't interrupt the flow.
By the time they did The Sing Off, Mitch, Scott and Kirsten had been singing together for about 5 or 6 years, that is why they sound so good together, then when Avi left, and Matt the second black guy joined, Matt had been a fan of PTX for a lot of years, and already knew all their songs, that is why he just fell right into place. You have to know all the backstories to really understand.
Mitch, Kirstin and Scott went to high school together. They invited Avi and Kevin to join them as they prepared to go on The Sing Off. Avi has since left them and was replaced by Matt Sallee, who you saw on Sound of Silence.
As a Pentaholic from their first performance on Sing Off it makes me super happy to see new people come to love and appreciate this groups phenomenal talent. You guys kill me with your interactions. Keep up the good work. Daft Punk Can’t hold us Imagine Also checking out the Sing-off performances will give you a good reference point for where they started as the group.
Hi guys, I’ve been waiting for you to see this, I knew you would be blown away by them singing bohemian Rhapsody. I’m so happy you are fans and will be reacting to more Pentatonix videos. xxx
Hey Elaine !! Yea this video definitely rocked. I myself am a big fan of queen and they did this song justice!! Can’t wait to do much more from Pentatonix !! See you on the next video 😃
These guys are really talented. I’m sure it must have taken months to practice and they deserve the praise. Congratulations Brian and Gus for being a dad and grandpa! Hahaha Jason killed me when he said that Brian grew up with Queen 😂 I couldn’t stop laughing and I will definitely be getting a t shirt and mask too! Thanks for this awesome reaction brothers stay safe 🙏🏼
Dayne us three gonna start an acapella group and be more successful then Pentatonix. What u think ? 😂 LoL, they are really an amazing group. Can’t wait to do more from them. And yes, the queen crack was hilarious 😂. Send us a pic with you rocking the gear when you get it. We will put it on one of our videos!! Be safe brother !!!
Be warned Dayne..the masks are one size fits all..so if you have a brian sized head..its gonna be super tight..we have to say this when we record from now on..but the masks are tight unless you have a small to average size head..and jokes against Brian are always hilarious...lol
Gus Br3akroom Gus Br3akroom Gus I agree you should do it you guys would be more successful than Pentonix haha😂😂😂😂 I would love to see Jason sing the Bismillah part 😂 most definitely brother keep safe and stay awesome man!
@@gailseatonhumbert9199 I’m sorry if that’s what you perceive. I think Avi is amazing. I’m just tired of the “I don’t like PTX without Avi” refrain. I want to ask those who complain if they like Steve Perry’s work with Journey. He wasn’t their original singer!!
@@drieuxkoeppel8152 that is not what you said. You cut down Avi by stating that Matt perfected it. That is horribly disrespectful and not accurate. If you don't want a negative response to your comments don't make ones like that. You can praise Matt on new songs instead like Sounds of Silence for example.
I watched you first because I love first reactions to pentatonix... Ive now seen three of your vids.Congrats one being grandpa and daddy. I saw queen live in 85.. this version is just superb
Nop, not a mass audition. The three melody vocalists were known as The a Trio, and went to high school together. Avi joined them when they graduated, and Kevin joined when they wanted to audition for the TV show The Sing Iff, which required a minimum of 5 members. Avi was recommended by musical friends as an incredibly bass, and Kevin they discovered on RUclips, when one of his “celloboxing” videos went viral.
@@TheBr3akRoom In other words, this is the original group that you're looking at. Avi (the dark-haired bearded bass), having already announced his departure in May of 2017, stayed through the fall tour. Matt took his place for the Christmas tour and was officially "the new member" in January 2018. We have 6-1/2 years of videos and audios of PTX with Avi, and are now coming up on 3 years of recordings and videos with Matt, so we have a whole lot of treasure to enjoy!
You guys should def react to some of their live and/or livestream and/or off mic performances, I couldn’t truly appreciate how amazing they were until I heard them without the production. I recommend starting small, with some off mic like their daft punk private performance or thrift shop at an airport, than old livestream performances like we are young or baddest girl, make your way to good quality live ones, like the mtv pop spring for water, can’t sleep love and evolution of MJ, and than the amazing Aha in Singapore masterpiece. Love watching this, keep them coming
Thanks for watching with us SI. We appreciate it..we actually rather watch the live versions of the songs..easier to upload without the copyright hit..next up though for them will be Daft Punk and Mad world..stay safe..enjoy the weekend😷😊
The Br3ak Room awesome can’t wait for daft punk (in this case I think you should watch the original first and than live performances just for comparison), I wasn’t too big of a fan for their arrangement for Mad World, but a lot of people seem to like it and I would love to see your thoughts on it.
New dad! New Grandpa! Congratulations guys! 🎉 best moments in my life have been becoming a mom and then becoming a grandma so I know how cool it is (and how tired you are dad)! Seriously I'm so happy for both of you. 🎉🎉🎉 And thank you for how hard you worked to get this video up. I would have been so frustrated! I couldn't do what you're doing cuz I'd be screaming mad 99.9% of the time just trying to upload a video I worked hard on. So, I applaud you as well as thank you. 💖
Thanks Maschelle we appreciate you and the kind words..putting up some of these popular vids is very frustrating..8 or 9 times is way too much..feels like we are messing up the vid and i think thats what pisses us off more then anything..but it is what it is..we appreciate all of you for supporting and showing love..next up for them will be Daft Punk..already recorded..cant wait👍👍stay safe young lady see you soon😊😷
The back three grew up together and sang together always. The beatboxer (black man named Kevin... also a tenor in harmonies) they found on youtube when he posted a video of himself playing cello and beatboxing - he calls it celloboxing. And it’s awesome. They needed a bass for the sing off show and they knew of Avi (bearded guy) because he is so amazing and they asked him to come in and it was just divine intervention in my perspective. Cause they mesh so well and are utterly amazing. If you want to see the original group at its rawest point, look back at the sing off performances. Mcduckbear11 has all the ptx performances with judges commentary. They killed it during the show but you can see how young they are and you can see and hear how much they have grown and become uniquely themselves. Also the only member to leave is the bearded man (Avi, bass). He helped choose his replacement, Matt. Also an amazing bass, young black man. So in sound if silence, he was the third soloist. He has made a lovely addition to the group. He and avi are different but both amazing and bring/brought different things to the group. Just fabulous. Avi Kaplan has some amazing solo work out. You should check it out. My fav is “change on the rise”. It’s s banger. Great reaction. Bohemian rhapsody gets copyright claimed all the time. Most reactors have to heavily edit/cut their video. It’s unfortunate that they are such jerks about reactions.
3 from elementary school. Kirstin, Mitch and Scott, ( 3 on back of couch. )..Wall of sound created by 5 people. You did Sound of silence, Hallelujah..Thanks for the reaction. ..Try their Daft Punk Medley..1st Grammy..they did it in a closet for 400 bucks lol.
Yeah we have Daft Punk and Mad World up next for them David..thanks for the info bro..stay safe..400 dollars lets you know its not always about the glitz and glamor..its about talent..they have tons of it👍👍
Don't apologize for the breaks & cuts guys, people on youtube should know how youtube is by now lol I actually really love how you handled it! I love the little fun facts🤩 it will help you get more familiar with them and will help others who may not know them as well! Very cool idea! Idk if anyone else mentioned it, I didn't check the comments, but the white guy in black is Avi (Ah-vee). He left the group in 2017 for personal/family reasons. The new guy is Matt, he is the handsome black man with a buzz cut. (He was in Sound of Silence) the other handsome black man with the longer hair is Kevin, he has been with the group since The Sing Off.
The 1st time that I heard the original was in Wayne's World also. This song in the car & the hockey scene where they say , "Game On!" will always stick out as my favorite parts of the movie.
If you haven't already, I would love to see your reaction to Pentatonix 'If I Ever Fall In Love.' IMO it's better than the original & I loved the original! Thanks guys!
Been a while since we did Pentatonix. Have to talk to the guys about this… but if we do, it will Be that song you recommended.. if we can💯👍🏼waynes world is a classic💯💯💯
Quick back ground on the group, Mitch, Kirstin and Scott have been friends for years, the boys since they were like 8 or 9... The three of them went to the same high school, they wanted to get on the 3rd season of the Sing Off, a talent show of all A Capella singing groups. Avi, they knew through a friend, he was a well known bass, and had actually won the first vocal guitar bass championship ever held. The knew Kevin from a video he had released where he was playing his cello and beat boxing at the same time. They came together just a few days before tryouts for the show and they got in! There were groups as little as five, to over 20 strong in the competition, one eliminated each week. Much like the other singing shows, they had to do a song from the 60's, a guilty pleasure song, one the judges picked for them, something different every week, well they managed to win the competition in the end... The got prize money and a recording contract. Well as soon as the recording company was able to they dropped the group, saying that A Capella music would never sell. They have moved on, worked hard putting videos out on youtube and built a very loyal following. I would suggest you go back and check out one of their songs from the original show. You might not have the same problem with copyright. Guaranteed you will enjoy it. ruclips.net/video/erZN-yCyOP8/видео.html
Thanks Larry..we appreciate the words bro..just filming our usual interactions..seriosuly not adding anything, except for " welcome back to the br3ak room" glad you guys enjoy watching with us..means a lot to us🙏🏼👍😊
If someone else mentioned this, I missed it, but I wanted you to have more details about Kevin (beatboxer). He was finishing or had recently finished his pre-med degree at Harvard when he got invited to be part of a group formed for a competition show. I believe his viral celloboxing video was filmed while he was studying abroad in China. Kevin is a legit musical genius (watch his solo cover of Down by Marian Hill), and he learned to sing during his time with the group -- he has a lovely, light tenor.
I am so glad you watched Bohemian Rhapsody. Have you seen PTX Imagine.. If not please review.. Yes Kirsten (Kirstie), Scott, Mitch grew up and went to school together. Scott asked them if they wanted to audition for the tv show the sing off. They found Kevin on You tube and Avi through mutual friend. After Avi departed they found Matt to replace.
The guy all the way to the right i dont even know his name but i swear i watch these reaction videos just to stare at him the whole time makes me wanna move back home to florida he's so handsome smh i cant be the only one 🤦🏻♀️
Many times I here reactors wondering how They got 5 singers who met perfectly. As people have said Kirsty Mitch and Scott all knew each other and sang together. Scott was at college, I think UCLA, and heard about this competition called the sing off He called Mitch and Kirsty who came out to participate in the competition. They found Avi through a friend, I think. Kevin they found on RUclips beatboxing while playing the cello. He calls it cello boxing and apparently it's taught in some places. They found Kevin on RUclips beatboxing while playing the cello. He calls it cello boxing and apparently it's taught in some schools. You will see him playing his cello In shallow and radioactive featuring Lindsey sterling. There is a video Title Pentatonix 101. Of he left the group on good terms in 2017 and matt was his replacement. Avi help them find matt. Avi has his own career and just released a video entitled change on the rise and it's very very good. Kevin is just a monster when it comes to beatboxing. Watch Blinding lights You must do daft punk of which they won a Grammy. It was done on a $400 budget in Avi's kitchen. Also dance of the sugar plum fairy which they also won a Grammy. You get to hear the full range of their voices from the deep deep voice of Avi to the high high high of Mitch. Every video people suggedte are a must see. I would go with imagine for the harmony and Sound of silence. I'm glad you're wearing Earbuds But you should really have them in both ears. If you do Then I just didn't see them and my apologies. There are also Behind the scene videos for a number of songs that they have done. There is a behind the scenes video for bohemian rhapsody. I think Freddie would be very very proud. Now you need to hear Angelina Jordan's take On bohemian rhapsody. It's a very different arrangement and after she performed it on America's got talent tthe champions season 2, queen called her and gave her their blessing
We have Angelina on the list..just gonna take time..thanks for all the info..we appreciate it..as far as the headphones we only can do one right now because of the setup we have..but 2 definitely is better..we agree with you guys..stay safe..thanks again
Yep we have heard..but its impossible for us to do that for a number of reasons..but you are right Ana..when i edit the video and have both headphones on i hear new things..thanks for watching and commenting..stay safe..recording daft punk and mad world today..👍👍
Yeah its mainly RUclips's algorithm..picks up everything..their record company would have to be actively searching for vids with them..which im sure they are not..but youtube is tough to crack sometimes..plus the vid is super popular so that doesnt help..all good though...we dont mind putting in more work for it to get out..thanks for watching and commenting. We will check out that vid..im sure its cool..stay safe..enjoy your weekend
No worries about the pauses...it happens when they block the videos. But you got to hear it and we got to watch the reaction. Appreciate the perseverance. Much appreciated! The views PTX receives are ASTOUNDING! Around Christmas time I hope you react to, Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairies. Fun Fact; this was written by composer, Tchaikovsky in the 1890's, all instrumental and PTX does it a capella! Unbelievable! Won a grammy for it too! Talent unbridled! Thanks for the reaction. Stay safe! (How's those babies?)
Thanks for watching and commenting..we appreciate it..the kiddos are all good..thanks for asking..we plan on doing most of their vids including the ones you mentioned Louella..enjoy your weekend..stay safe👍😊

Lol..this was great..we enjoyed it..next will either be Daft Punk or Mad World..we are recording both on the 12th..not sure of the release dates though..thanks for checking in June..stay safe and enjoy your weekend
Thats a great story to tell one day..im sure they didnt in a million years think they would be that famous and successful..they are all great..next up is Daft Punk
Thanks LVW..just keeping it real and genuine with you guys..having fun with these vids..they are a great group..flawless..Daft Punk next for them..stay safe
Please use headphones or both earbuds while listening to Pentatonix to get the full experience! You miss out a lot if you don't hear it with both ears.
We wont be using both headphones..but we do hear you..and you are right..a little..when im editing the video i have both on and i hear the difference..but we cant have both on, because we wont be able to hear each other🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ stay safe..thanks for watching👍👍
Just a few tidbits of info : the couch represents their start making videos from someones couch and growing their fanbase...then taking off into their successes but always coming back to their beginnings, remaining humble and still firm friends. Someone told us recently that the 'star show' was a nod to Brian May having a Phd in astrophysics...the 'trio' falling onto the couch at the end was a nod to Queens' album Sheer Heart Attack (the album art)... The 'panning' in the first part of the video was done as the original track was mixed..... PTX never try to imitate an artist/band that they cover, but do always try to acknowledge little details to the original if and when they can. Cheers for trying so many times to upload this one guys - it's very much appreciated. There is a behind the scenes of this video which shows how much time they put into getting it right - it was freezing and they lost Kevin off the back of the couch at one point which was pretty funny (once we found out he wasn't hurt :) )
Oh wow those are some cool details we would have never know about. Thanks for that. Glad you enjoyed the video and appreciate you taking the time to leave this comment. The behind the scenes video is something we will watch on our off time. Would love to see it. Thanks

Yeah Matthew we have them on the list..just takes time to get to them..heard they are real good also..thanks for watching and commenting..stay safe fam
Loved your reaction. Only one small detail. You didn't say anything about your homeboy Mitch's electric guitar solo. The megaphone was just a prop on set. He does it in concert with just a mic. Thank you all so much for the time and effort you put into getting this up for us to see. I'm sorry to say sony music has been on a blocking spree lately so the black screen might have to be a staple for their videos. Can't wait until the next one!!

As it goes...3 of them (Scott, Mitch and Kirstie) were high school friends. Scott decided he wanted to audition for Season 3 of the Sing Off and asked them to join with him. Avi (bass with the beard) was recommended to him by a friend and Kevin he found on RUclips celloboxing (beatboxing while playing the cello) they got together a week before the show and won the whole thing. If you want to see an awesome live performance you should react to their cover of Aha! Live at the Star Vista Singapore. You should also react to their Daft Punk Medley. It won them their first Grammy.

Love your tee-shirt, Gus. I grew up going to Broncos games, back when the team was first formed. I've just been looking to see what you've already seen of Pentatonix before I make any recommendations, and I have to tell you that it was hard. How about putting them in a playlist, guys? That said, Pentatonix is known for treating the original song and singers with utmost respect, while still managing, somehow, to improve upon the original, just as they did here. *Not* easy! So, what is the "perfect" song, the song that can't possibly be improved upon? My candidate would be _Imagine,_ by John Lennon. And yet, Pentatonix found a way to do it; I strongly recommend that you watch their version of _Imagine._ Once again, they treat the original with great respect; "all" they do is somehow make it *more* of itself. I remember when Lennon was murdered; I still grieve for him. And one of the things I grieve for is the fact that he isn't here to see what Pentatonix did with his greatest work. He would have been proud.
hello Jason thank you for react to this RUclips Video i enjoyed watching with you guys those groups are wonderful i know Brian always doing something to make yall laugh is so funny is how he do it
We plan on doing Daft Punk and Mad world when we meet up on then12th..not sure the release dates though...thanks for watching and commenting Joshua..stay safe
If you want to hear Avi hit the lowest notes and Mitch hit the highest... Go watch “Pentatonix- AHA! Singapore, The Star Vista.” It’s a live performance filmed from the audience, but it’s insane! Avi (the bass) also blew the speakers out of the Venue that same night. GO WATCH AND REACT!! You won’t regret it!!
@@Jsman525 ❤️ my son soundengenir, yess i said wrong, not effect, but some studio working. But pls. it is no matter, i love them very much and them art!!!
new here from ireland can you react to the pentatonix songs, cheerleader, love again, daft punk, rather be, imagine, feeling can hold us, can you feel the love tonight, and superfruit who are mitch and scott from pentatonix they sing, rise, beyonce, the promise, goodbye from lonely, future friends, guy exe, also scott hoying and mario jose lost on you,
An interesting bit of trivia, early in their career, an interviewer asked PTX if there was any song they wouldn't want to do, their immediate response was Bohemian Rhapsody. This video shows how much they have evolved and improved since they started. There is an interesting behind the scenes video of the making of this: ruclips.net/video/Q8ugJnIG_Lk/видео.html&ab_channel=PTXVlogs
Nopr Mitch, Kirsty, Scott were together they needed 5 for the sing off, they knew Avi and asked him to join them, KEvin they found on RUclips, they were together less than a week and won the 2011 Sing-off, The rest is Pentatonix history.
We will add that to the list..check it out one of these days..they are an awesome group..thanks Michelle..we appreciate you for watching and commenting
You should react to The Sing Off - This is where PTX started. You can see their beginnings and how they progressed. Just subscribed - thanks for reacting to PTX
YAY ! Keeping the ptx train going .. I luv it .. Another great reaction guys ! 😊👍❤😊👍❤ BTW, U guys can see them in their rawest form in 'The evolution of Michael Jackson' I promise you'll be dancing to at least half of it .. ❤ TRUST ME ❤
Yayyyy im first to answer Michelle..the 4th member of the group..lol..they are really good..wonder how long it takes them to get the song right..sure its hours upon hours of rehearsals...enjoy your weekend and you are welcome from saving you from the old guy and the shy virgin in the middle👍👍😊
And, the couch.... That's a nod to their RUclips videos they did. A TON of their early videos are the five on a couch. Scott found Kevin through one of his videos on RUclips that went a bit viral. His stuff should be reacted to! Check out: Kevin Olusola "Down" video Also, I actually liked the "Fun Fact" bits! Much better than just cuts!
Thanks for watching and commenting..we will check out that video..the fun facts are definitely here to stay..just had to explain multiple times during some of the breaks though..because there will be questions about it..believe me..lmfao😂😂🤣😒..stay safe..enjoy the rest of the weekend
Now as you have found out their record company is stupid when it comes to copyrite issues. But most reactors have found that if you will make the video more transparent, and place some text over it (your name, Pentatonix, covered with text for copyrite, just anything, or a logo) and then pause every now and then to talk, it will help to keep from getting blocked.
Watch a live video! Lol I went to a Christmas special where they fell out a couple times cause they were laughing. I thought it was lip synced until that point. It’s incredible.
Yeah..they are pretty good..think we did Hallelujah performance live..and it sounded perfect...we definitely will look for more live performances..because those dont get copyrighted as much..thanks for watching with us Michael
Again guys sorry for the pauses and cuts, took us 7 times to get the vid up..if you do appreciate our efforts..hit the like button please..more Pentatonix on the way..stay safe😷👍
The Br3ak Room No problem, honestly. You did what you had to do and I appreciate the effort you put into it.
Brian May is a fan, he has even shared it a few times on his social media ❤
@@elisabethmhawkins9025 that's amazing!!!
I appreciate your perseverance ❤️
Voiceplay- oogie boogie man
Queen's lead guitarist Brian May's actually posted this video to his Facebook page right after it was released and simply said enjoy! I think that is quite an endorsement! How pleased Freddie Mercury would have been 😊
Also from what I have heard they waited 5yrs to do this one because they wanted to do it right!
Stay safe !
@@gusbr3akroom278 saw them perform this live 2 years ago, so minus Avi. It was their encore. Just as good live as in the video.
Wizard of ahhhs. It's not what you think & literally impossible not to smile while watching.
We will check it out Charles..im sure its good if it has anything to do with Ptx..thanks for watching and commenting..stay safe
I recommend pentatonix-aha Singapore you'll be impressed for sure.
Absolutely.
Add seat belts first.
Yes, I enjoyed the fun facts! I already knew them, but who cares?
😃👉Yes 3 of the members are childhood friends
Scott (tall blonde) and mitch have been friends since they were 10 yrs old. Scott was told to get a bass and beatboxer to make them sound fuller
He was introduced to Avi (bass) who is from California.
🙏React to their 3 Grammy winning songs:
1.Daft Punk
2.Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy
3.Jolene ft. Dolly Parton
Thanks Cecy for commenting. Definitely will be getting around to all three. Be safe and appreciate you watching 😄
There dedication shows...
I remember when y’all first saw PTX. I was so happy as a Pentaholic to see you go down such an amazing journey with PTX. Like I said before. Welcome to the rabbit hole and enjoy the ride! It is amazing ride!
Yep we remember Dwight..this is going to be a nice ride👍👍👍stay safe..thanks again
@@TheBr3akRoom you too!! Can’t wait for you next review! You guys are awesome!
Loved your reaction. I love how you edited in cards through the breaks so we could still see the entire reaction. Thank you for all your hard work.
Amazing!
Yeah Mitch is the man..we agree..thats our boy😁👍👍we have daft punk and mad world coming up next for them..stay safe
Thanks for all the info..we appreciate you..they are an amazing group..so much talent..we are enjoying our ride..thanks for watching and commenting
Yeah we keep hearing the sing off..we have that on the list Shannon..and its crazy how they just meshed perfectly..more to come..thanks for watching
The Br3ak Room I can’t wait! Thanks again.
Yeah they did a real good job with it..very impressed..tough song to do..thanks for watching and commenting
I really liked all your messages during your pauses.
They need to reaction to imagine by pentatonix
We will get to it Shankeria..thanks for watching with us and commenting..next up will be daft punk and mad world.

Scott, Kirsten and Mitch have been singing together for quite a long time. When they went on to the Sing Off they needed 2 more members and recruited Avi and Kevin.
They are an amazing group..definitely on this journey and so far have been very impressed..more to come for sure
I am really loving your reactions to PTX! They are amazing and I can't wait to see more!
Wow, on first watch you miss a lot..there is so much going on..lol..thanks for all the info..we appreciate you Stephen..stay safe

We appreciate that Elizabeth 😃. You are awesome. Please stay safe and can’t wait to see you on the next video !!
We appreciate that..Seriously speaking Jason does a great job dealing with the "red tape" of setting the vids up
I really appreciate the effort you put into bringing this video to us!
Thanks Tim for the information..we appreciate you..stay safe

The Br3ak Room hahaha I will definitely keep that in mind 😂 thanks so much man!
Gus Br3akroom Gus Br3akroom Gus I agree you should do it you guys would be more successful than Pentonix haha😂😂😂😂 I would love to see Jason sing the Bismillah part 😂 most definitely brother keep safe and stay awesome man!
I love Avi's "air guitar" which he actually uses to let you know who is doing the bass guitar part 🙂
Yep Avi went in on that air guitar 🎸!! Thanks for watching Gail and stay safe !
And Matt has perfected that since he replaced Avi!
No Avi's is fine and this partisan thing has to cease of cutting down Avi because he left.
Watching your reaction was worth the breaks!! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks LVW...we appreciate it..definitely more Pentatonix on the way
I watched you first because I love first reactions to pentatonix... Ive now seen three of your vids.Congrats one being grandpa and daddy. I saw queen live in 85.. this version is just superb
Thanks for the congrats Lucy..they really did do a great job..sure it took forever to get it right..Mad World tomorrow 👍
Love your response to Utube. Keep it up.
Thanks Terry..we appreciate you for watching with us..stay safe..more on the way👍👍👍👍
Nop, not a mass audition.
Thanks for the info Renee..we appreciate it..thats crazy that they fit that perfectly..was meant to be i guess..thanks for watching with us..stay safe
Can't wait to see your reaction to Pentatonixs Daft Punk. An awesome arrangement some Daft Punk songs with an award winning video!
Yea we’ve been hearing about it. 😄 We gonna react to it soon. Be on the lookout !
And thank you for how hard you worked to get this video up.
Yeah we have Daft Punk and Mad World up next for them David..thanks for the info bro..stay safe..400 dollars lets you know its not always about the glitz and glamor..its about talent..they have tons of it👍👍
behind the scene of this shows how many hours were put in this, amazing.
Im sure it was forever Linda..ended up being great..thanks for watching and commenting..stay safe young lady👍😷😊
Thank you for the info and understanding!
Have to talk to the guys about this… but if we do, it will
Be that song you recommended.. if we can💯👍🏼waynes world is a classic💯💯💯
Don't worry about the breaks... Love the reaction
Kristin, Mitch, and Scott went to high school together. They have sung together years before success.
Yeah they told us BB..they are amazing..definitely more of them to come..😊😊😊stay safe
Thanks for the link..we appreciate it..and thanks for all the info..stay safe Arcusfp1

Yeah we heard that Kevin is super talented.. Hstppt..thanks for watching with us..and giving us some info..we appreciate it
I am so glad you watched Bohemian Rhapsody.
Thanks for all the info Bobbie..we appreciate it..have a great weekend
The guy all the way to the right i dont even know his name but i swear i watch these reaction videos just to stare at him the whole time makes me wanna move back home to florida he's so handsome smh i cant be the only one 🤦🏻♀️
Of course you are not the only one..im the star of the show😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 we thank you for watching and commenting Chinita..stay safe..more to come👍😊
Many times I here reactors wondering how They got 5 singers who met perfectly.
You have to listen with both headphones to appreciate it more!
Yep we have heard..but its impossible for us to do that for a number of reasons..but you are right Ana..when i edit the video and have both headphones on i hear new things..thanks for watching and commenting..stay safe..recording daft punk and mad world today..👍👍
Pentaholic here... you should check out the making of this video. Don't worry about the breaks, I assume it protects the group.
@@TheBr3akRoom It seems fairly random as well... but enjoy the Pentatonix Rabbit Hole. They never cease to amaze me.
@@TheBr3akRoom Thank you!
You need to see them on the Sing Off competition
On tour Mitch did the eletric guitar solo without a megaphone
Yeah we heard..we saw it..but i guess there is so much going on that you miss a lot on the first watch..but while i was editing the video i noticed it..thanks for watching with us Alana..stay safe
This line up had been together since 2011, the back 3 have been friends since childhood ❤
Thanks for the info Elisabeth..we appreciate you..and welcome to our family young lady😉👍👍😊
I've been waiting on this. So glad you finally managed. Now please Daft Punk is the next one.
Lol..this was great..we enjoyed it..next will either be Daft Punk or Mad World..we are recording both on the 12th..not sure of the release dates though..thanks for checking in June..stay safe and enjoy your weekend
@@TheBr3akRoom Stay safe too. Much love from Nairobi Kenya.
The 3 on the back of the couch went to high school together, singing all the way.
Thats a great story to tell one day..im sure they didnt in a million years think they would be that famous and successful..they are all great..next up is Daft Punk
This is AWESOME!! My favorites are Scott ( tall blonde) and Avi ( beard/beanie) I'm a HUGE FAN of baritone / bass voices!!💗
What an amazing video and group 😃. Thanks for watching. I’ll let Avi and Scott know you got a crush 😏. lol...stay safe !
Then I'm assuming your enthralled with mine!! 😂😂
@@brianreidvoiceovers884 Maybe 😉
I rarely subscribe to channels but I really like your PTX reactions so you got me, lol.
Thanks
@@gusbr3akroom278 ruclips.net/video/Q8ugJnIG_Lk/видео.html Enjoy !! 3:09 is where KO falls off the couch - they also had to build a step on the back for Kirstie as she was too short to jump on :)
Now that you have become aware of Pentatonix, you might enjoy Home Free. The entry point to Home Free is Ring of Fire featuring Avi Kaplan from Pentatonix.
Thanks Lexy. Appreciate you watching and understanding our uploading problems. Mitch’s solo was bad ass!! Sorry we didn’t mention it. Overall, another amazing video from this talented group. Next one should be coming out in the very near future. Stay safe 😃
@@gusbr3akroom278 Cool. You all stay safe too? Hope you're wearing masks outside for that grandbabys sake at least.
Have you done their cover of Macklamores "Can't Hold Us?? It's a wild ride. Lol
If you need any more fun facts let me know.
Lexy Mich Hi Lexy, thanks for highlighting Mitch’s skill there!! My only fun fact is that they didn’t release this vid until they had it PERFECT! I’d say they accomplished their goal!
@@Karen-Campos Yeah I totally meant to say that they waited 5 years to even attempt to do this.
@@Karen-Campos btw the movers unloaded the boxes and gloria and I blew up our air mattresses and haven't touched a single box. Lol we are both in so much pain including flu like aching and so exhausted that we ordered pizza and that was all she wrote lol
We plan on doing all of those songs Dee Jay..thanks for the info..we appreciate it..crazy how successful they are now..im sure the 3 friends couldnt have dreamed it..we plan on doing daft punk and mad world when we meet up on the 12th..thanks for watching and commenting

Watch them in a live video. They sound the same. It really is remarkable.
Yeah i think we did Hallelujah live..they sounded great still..just an awesome group..thanks for watching with us Amy..stay safe
He would have been proud.
hello Jason thank you for react to this RUclips Video i enjoyed watching with you guys those groups are wonderful i know Brian always doing something to make yall laugh is so funny is how he do it
Yeah..he is always making us yell at him Rashaad..he has a problem..lol..enjoy your weekend sir..stay safe

Thanks for doing this, guys. I know it’s a pain in the ass with all the copyright stuff. Thanks for persevering.
Appreciate you.. definitely aggravating.. have a great safe weekend
We will add it..anything live is good for us..less chance of copyright..thanks Chaz
You should definitely check out their version of Can You Feel the Love Tonight.
We will add it to the list Jenn..im sure its great like the others..stay safe

An interesting bit of trivia, early in their career, an interviewer asked PTX if there was any song they wouldn't want to do, their immediate response was Bohemian Rhapsody. This video shows how much they have evolved and improved since they started. There is an interesting behind the scenes video of the making of this: ruclips.net/video/Q8ugJnIG_Lk/видео.html&ab_channel=PTXVlogs
Thanks for the link B Rock..we appreciate it..they are really good..shows how practicing your craft and dedicating yourself to it pays off..stay safe.

Nopr Mitch, Kirsty, Scott were together they needed 5 for the sing off, they knew Avi and asked him to join them, KEvin they found on RUclips, they were together less than a week and won the 2011 Sing-off, The rest is Pentatonix history.

Now as you have found out their record company is stupid when it comes to copyrite issues. But most reactors have found that if you will make the video more transparent, and place some text over it (your name, Pentatonix, covered with text for copyrite, just anything, or a logo) and then pause every now and then to talk, it will help to keep from getting blocked.
more Pentatonix and Home Free please. Thx.
Yeah Ryan..we have to check out Home Free..heard they were good too.
Watch a live video! Lol I went to a Christmas special where they fell out a couple times cause they were laughing. I thought it was lip synced until that point. It’s incredible.
