For Fearless and Speak Now, the backup singers were Caitlyn and Liz. From Red until Eras, we have The Starlights as the backup singers. The band is exactly the same except for the drummer and electric guitarist.
People seem to miss what seems painfully obvious to me... MOST of the songs she writes about exes are not shredding them, insulting them, blaming them, etc. She knows when life just happened, or things just weren't right, and that every breakup doesn't have a good guy/bad guy dynamic. She has a healthy psyche and is just as hard on herself when she knows she was the problem. She is not this bloodthirsty serial dater looking for new material all the time, it makes me so angry when people think that way of her.
Supposedly? This isn’t court where you have to say allegedly lol. Between this song and Style and their snowmobile accident this song is about the anxiety she felt in that relationship with them constantly being hounded by paparazzi
They control the wristbands to go with the theme of the song. Her current concert uses more advanced technology and even makes moving designs like a slithering snake for reputation era and flickering hearts for the lover era.
You should watch the actual video and see how amazing her commitment is to her craft. She has absolutely stunning eyes. This is about her and Harry Styles.
You guys are hilarious. Yes she has beautiful blue eyes but these EAS Channel videos edit both her eye color and the sound so her vocals sound so crisp. You can’t actually hear much of her singing live because of the fans. That’s why they’re so great. This song is about Harry Styles and the anxiety surrounding their relationship. It was so much pressure from the media and probably their teams, etc. People say “allegedly” but 1989 is largely about the death of that relationship. In the Out of the Woods music video she’s wearing a similar dress to the one she was seen wearing leaving a vacation with him, and she has “HS” written on her hand. The bridge is about a snowmobile accident they had on vacation and he ended up with stitches. You can still see the scar on him sometimes. It was a decade ago but clearly had a huge impact on both of them and it shows up in both of their music.
14:19 …Not gonna lie, this is my favorite kind of reaction, haha. Why am I watching a reaction if not to see commentary?? I never stick around channels that don’t pause and talk a lot. I’m down for more like this. 😂
She later told in her documentary 'Miss Americana' that she had a eating dirsorder at that time and thought almost passing out while performing would be normal. Really like your content guys, greetings from germany 😃
For the record I LOVE this reaction, it might be my favourite so far. I don't mind stopping after each verse to hear thoughts and discuss lyrics and performance a bit, we lose our train of thought sometimes if we don't say something in the moment. Swifties like lyrical discussion so I'm sure a lot of viewers will enjoy!
Just fyi - there is an acoustic performance of this song she did on piano at the Grammy Museum, and it's just as incredible. She also talks about the song and what it means to her (spoiler alert: you guys were right).
I live in Melbourne Australia and Taylor just play at our MCG stadium and she had 96 Thousand people each night for 3 nights that is 288 thousand people !!! … and hundreds and hundreds of people standing outside listening … she said on the first night it was the largest crown she had ever played too … GO MELBOURNE !! 🐨🐨🐨🇦🇺
4:29 on the eras tour you get a light up wrist band and they are using a system to coordinate every wrist band so they can change their colors in command, intensity, turn them off or on with this technology YOU get to be part of the show by making the public colorful and making silhouettes, rainbows, stars it’s brilliant
Harry Styles baby!!! They have both wrote great songs about each other and they don’t get all upset about each other. Harry talks about what a great song writer she is and you write the best songs when you tap into those deep emotions. He takes it as a compliment even if it might shade some negativity about their relationship. They were really young and had no chance because of their age and the constant pressure of being observed non stop. This is my favorite song of hers that she performs live because even years later she is tapping into all the raw emotion from when she wrote it and experienced it. Her performance of this at the Grammys is epic too.
The paper airplanes line in the song and that were flying around the stage were because Harry gave her a necklace of a paper airplane(it was silver though, not paper, like the ones you make and try to hit people with in school) that matched his. Any song that mentions "hit the brakes too soon, hospital room, stitches, red blood, white snow) is referring to a snowmobile accident they got in. Several songs off 1989 mention those things. 😊
Hello boys! Taylor Swift also played this song on the piano during that same performance at the Grammy museum that you guys watched recently. Where she’s wearing all black and the venue is…uhh…intimate? It’s one of my very favorite performances she’s ever done, you guys should watch that one too.
The concert didn't end there. It was the 2nd last performance of the night before she brought the house down with Shake It Off on a rotating platform with her dancers 😂
I think her writing her own songs really adds to the performance as well - sometimes it’s harder for an artist to perform a song they didn’t write because it’s not their experience, you can tell Taylor feels everything she writes
Great reaction!! This is one of my fav live performances of her Eras tour movie will stream on Disney+ starting March 15. Would love to see your reaction to it in parts if you can. You will truly be blown away.
💙💙💙Im a lifelong metal/rock head and a self admitted new Swiftie. Ive enjoyed all of your sweet, hilarious, relatable reactions to these Taylor ("Rock Tay" 😊 ) videos. Evan and Jacob thank you for your sevice and sacrifices...I adore all 3 of you💙💙💙 You may enjoy some of Taylor's reputation videos, no expense is spared. I think your mimi-me's are very lucky to have such awesome Dad's. I'm a fan!!👏
I was row 9 at the Eras tour, in Minneapolis, and I got to stare up at her at about 20 ft away. It was surreal, and awesome. She even waved toward my area of people, and I have it on camera, it was awesome lol
I’m so lucky to say I got this song as a surprise song at the Eras tour it was just her and the guitar it was amazing she did mess up while singing it but then she sang the bridge again of the song and it was the best experience I have ever had
Highly recommend a triple feature of the songs *allegedly* about John Mayer - Ours from when they were still together, Dear John, and Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve. Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve off the most recent album and 10+ years after their relationship goes hard.
That’s the way it is as a T Swift fan- either your having a ton of fun just bopping along to her fun songs, or saying Shut Up! I have to concentrate one her lyrics lol
You guys need to check out the music video and the grammy performance of this song. Taylor designed each stage of every tour and she loves it when the fans sing a lot.
You guys said if you reach 20,000 subscribers you would do the C spot videos. It doesn’t have to be that, but you guys have to watch the Eras tour in full… Even if you do your reaction videos Era by Era (for time/length purposes) all of us new subscribers would be forever grateful ❤❤
Taylors band is called The Agency and about 90% of them have been with her since her first tour which is Fearless. And her backup singers are called The Starlights and they have been with her since the Red tour if I'm not mistaken!
Evan Looks Like Beau ‘Casper’ Smart to me personally and so he’s always the one I just focus on when watching especially when it comes to facial expressions. When he finally connects and vibes and feels or when he’s confused/shocked etc it’s fascinating
John Mayer songs include Dear John, Would’ve, Could’ve, should’ve (sort of a sister song), Ours, and some people think Superman, all of them except wcs are from her Speak Now album
Y’all know we are gonna tell you who it’s about😂 Harry styles! This song has the best bridge ever! I donated-asked for tiny desk death by a thousand cuts and I think y’all will love those performances as much as Long pond. Crystal
I got so excited when I saw you were reacting to this song, especially this version!!! You guys crack me up! Thank you so much!! 💙 Can’t wait to comment on your discord this week!😂
Hello. I really enjoy your reactions! I would very highly recommend Don’t Blame Me (Reputation tour performance). It’s a little different than a lot of what you guys have seen so far
I don’t think she has ever barfed of nervousness but she has said that it still amazes her. Her reality I mean. She appreciates every bit of it and still gets all the feels as ever.
Jake, I'm sure you get told this all the time, but you have the most adorable face ever 🥰 those eyes, and that smile 🤩 I'm loving being part of your TSwift journey boys, she is so magical, your reaction videos are awesome, keep up the awesome work guys 🌹
@@TAHBofficial Evan, yeah I can see why you would call them that lol, did he get away with everything when you guys were growing up? He probably still does? Lol
1989 was also a stadium tour and has a lot going on that you haven't seen. You need to watch the entire 989 tour film to see it. The entire stadium is full of 70,000 people - just as it was for Reputation or Eras Tour.
Yes her eyes are that blue they say she is one of the very small number of people in the world that has that shade of blue eyes also her upcoming show in Australia the news reported all three shows this weekend are sold out and there estimated to be about 100,000 people at each show then she goes to Sydney and performs 4 shows I think I heard there’s going to be about 80,000 people at each of those shows
This is the tour that invented the wristbands - she was behind the idea of the invention (this tour was 2015) and now they’re everywhere and used by everyone
There’s a piano version she performs at the Grammy museum (wildest dreams electric guitar) that is sooo good! One of the many Harry Styles songs. Also yes you should do Dear John & Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve
Not only is she best singwriter/lyricist working today but she has developed into probably the greatest stage performer right now. How many acts have been able to completely own a 100 000 person crowd for 3.5 hours night in and night out?
For context, these lyrics are ALLEGEDLY about Harry Styles but more about the effect of the media and fame on their relationship. The stitches were referring to an accident they got into while together that they needed to get immediate care for. And dw, we don't hate Harry Styles as swifties. He's a good guy, they just didn't work out. There's a lot of overlap between fans of Swift and of Styles.
(I know my comment is lengthy but if one of you three see it, I'd really appreciate if you read it! :) This was actually the last song before the "encore" which is Shake It Off on the 1989 World Tour, which The stage, runway, literally raises up and turns into a propeller and at each end reaches up to 20mph! It was crazy to see live. Also, Quick rundown of her tours: First headlining tour: The Fearless Tour 2009 - completely sports ARENAs BUT she ended her FIRST headlining tour at a stadium. (what other artist has headlined a stadium during their first headlining tour? Like.. insane) - There is a tour film/doc of this tour titled "Journey To Fearless" Her second headlining tour was the Speak Now World Tour 2011-2012 which was performed in Stadiums & Arenas, There is a concert film of this show from start to finish Third headlining tour: The Red Tour 2013-2014 which was also performed in arenas & stadiums both, Sadly, no professionally recorded tour doc/concert film for this tour Then you have this, The 1989 World Tour 2015, performed in stadiums (as you saw in this performance) and arenas (where I saw her for the first time ever, I uploaded a video from my first Tay show on my channel), clearly as you saw, there is a concert film/doc of this entire show/tour Next was her 'comeback tour' which was the "reputation Stadium tour' - so it was performed only in stadiums, there is an entire concert film from start to finish of this entire show - but it was removed from Netflix (but I have the file if you want it lol - shhh I didn't say that 😂) and currently, her longest running tour yet with the longest runtime yet, The Eras Tour (March 2023 - December 2024), performed only in stadiums. - Info on that concert film below *The next Era's Tour show is (for us Americans) technically tonight as of when this comment was made, but will be in Melbourne Austraila - 3 nights back to back and so far the biggest crowd for the Eras Tour, The stadium she'll be performing at has a seating capacity of 100,000; each of the three nights, (obviously) is completely sold out.* Eras Tour concert film info: "The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version)" including the entire setlist for the first time plus 4 addition acoustic songs will be available to stream on Disney+ on March 15. Even if you don't want to react to it, I highly, highly, highly recommend watching when it's available to stream! (and if you don't have Disney+, I'd honestly get a subscription just to watch "The Eras Tour" then cancel the subscription when you're done watching lol or find a file ripped from Dis+ after its been up to stream for like a day) I'd love to watch it with you guys and see your reactions but you'd definitely (or which I recommend if you don't have one, which I didn't see one in your description, making a Patreon and (if) you watch/react to the Eras Tour, upload it there because you'll be able to do so in full without worrying about copyright issues (also so we could watch it with you while it not being blurred). Really hope to see this come to fruition cuz like I said I'd love to watch it (in a sense) with you guys! You three are great! So happy I found you guys through your Taylor reactions!
Thanks for all the info. One day when Jake gets back to the US we will have more time to do a Patreon and be able to do a full reaction to the tour! Would definitely be fun!
@@TAHBofficial No problem :) Also I really appreciate your response! Awesome!!! That sounds great, really looking forward to it! I’ll definitely be a member!
hahahhahahaha i just can't with you guys, hilarious!!!!! one of my favorites tay sway songs of all time (also one of her best bridges ever!) and you really got the feeling of the music: our long date friend anxiety in trying to make things work and having the uncertainty of the future ps alex you get prettier every video 😬 sending good vibes to the three of you! 🫶🏻
She's back in the US Sept. I don' t know her schedule but i think she'll be in Indiana, New Orlleans and Florida. I don't know where else. But I would think about it.
I just saw a video where another actor was being interviewed (I’m thinking it was Max Greenfield)…and he said he asked her if she likes to perform to such a huge crowd or does she prefer little intimate shows. And he said she responded that she loves performing and would perform to an entire ocean of people if she could. I think some people are just born to that feeling and ability. I’d pass out. 🤣🫣
Welcome to the Harry styles life experience passion. Great era. 1989 tour is my favorite concert of hers. And my favorite album is 1989 tied with Reputation. But this was actually not the last song. She closed with Shake it off
You guys haveeeee to watch the Eras tour. It’s insane. 3 1/2 hours, she doesn’t stop. 44 songs. She’s a machine.
45 hahha we have long live now
Fun fact, It's largely the same band/backup singers since her first headlining tour until era's

This is about Harry Styles. Her and Harry have been singing to each other in songs since their break up 13 years ago.
Jacob : I nervous pee when i make eye contact
Alex : ANYWAYS the fuckin stadium-
Evan : You pee yourself-

It's Harry Styles. A lot of 1989 is about Harry. Esp. with Taylor's Version out now.
You pee while making eye contact…? You wouldn’t be able to waterboard that information out of me LMAO

I knew Jacob reminded me of someone but I didn’t realize it was my Pomeranian/poodle mix until he said that, then it instantly clicked lol.

i have a question, do you turn them in like 3D glasses or do you keep them when the concert is over?
Harry Styles baby!!!
They have both wrote great songs about each other and they don’t get all upset about each other. Harry talks about what a great song writer she is and you write the best songs when you tap into those deep emotions. He takes it as a compliment even if it might shade some negativity about their relationship. They were really young and had no chance because of their age and the constant pressure of being observed non stop.
This is my favorite song of hers that she performs live because even years later she is tapping into all the raw emotion from when she wrote it and experienced it. Her performance of this at the Grammys is epic too.
You can literally see how each tour goes to greater heights. Taylor definitely gives back to her fans! ❤❤❤
The paper airplanes line in the song and that were flying around the stage were because Harry gave her a necklace of a paper airplane(it was silver though, not paper, like the ones you make and try to hit people with in school) that matched his. Fun fact. During her video Cardigan, a paper airplane flies out of the piano bench which proves in fact the song is about him.

Taylor and her backup singers, band are all so great? This adds to each of her performances! You guys are on the right track

actually, this type of wrtistband appeared in 2012 during Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto tour, so it has nothing to do with Taylor Swift
Great song and presentation. Jacob you are right she is amazing.
There’s a piano version she performs at the Grammy museum (wildest dreams electric guitar) that is sooo good! One of the many Harry Styles songs.
Also yes you should do Dear John & Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve

(I know my comment is lengthy but if one of you three see it, I'd really appreciate if you read it! :)
This was actually the last song before the "encore" which is Shake It Off on the 1989 World Tour, which The stage, runway, literally raises up and turns into a propeller and at each end reaches up to 20mph! It was crazy to see live. Also, Quick rundown of her tours:
First headlining tour: The Fearless Tour 2009 - completely sports ARENAs BUT she ended her FIRST headlining tour at a stadium. (what other artist has headlined a stadium during their first headlining tour? Like.. insane) - There is a tour film/doc of this tour titled "Journey To Fearless"
Her second headlining tour was the Speak Now World Tour 2011-2012 which was performed in Stadiums & Arenas, There is a concert film of this show from start to finish
Third headlining tour: The Red Tour 2013-2014 which was also performed in arenas & stadiums both, Sadly, no professionally recorded tour doc/concert film for this tour
Then you have this, The 1989 World Tour 2015, performed in stadiums (as you saw in this performance) and arenas (where I saw her for the first time ever, I uploaded a video from my first Tay show on my channel), clearly as you saw, there is a concert film/doc of this entire show/tour
Next was her 'comeback tour' which was the "reputation Stadium tour' - so it was performed only in stadiums, there is an entire concert film from start to finish of this entire show - but it was removed from Netflix (but I have the file if you want it lol - shhh I didn't say that 😂)
and currently, her longest running tour yet with the longest runtime yet, The Eras Tour (March 2023 - December 2024), performed only in stadiums. - Info on that concert film below
*The next Era's Tour show is (for us Americans) technically tonight as of when this comment was made, but will be in Melbourne Austraila - 3 nights back to back and so far the biggest crowd for the Eras Tour, The stadium she'll be performing at has a seating capacity of 100,000; each of the three nights, (obviously) is completely sold out.*
Eras Tour concert film info: "The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version)" including the entire setlist for the first time plus 4 addition acoustic songs will be available to stream on Disney+ on March 15.
You guys are so fun. ❤
This was my guitar surprise song! 🩵
You guys should check on Shake it off live from the 1989 tour
hahahhahahaha i just can't with you guys, hilarious!!!!!
one of my favorites tay sway songs of all time (also one of her best bridges ever!) and you really got the feeling of the music: our long date friend anxiety in trying to make things work and having the uncertainty of the future
ps alex you get prettier every video 😬
sending good vibes to the three of you! 🫶🏻
Your commentary is hilarious. Keep it all in
Comin in clutch with them little fancy graphics now eh! Nice
Please listen to Dear John, it was my surprise song in Minneapolis, it’s sooo good!
THEY HAVE TO REACT TO VIGILANTE SHIT ON ERAS TOUR! pls someone give em moneyyy hahaha
It’s on our list 😂. It’ll come out sometime in the next few weeks.
I think you should react to her music videos of the songs you've reacted to. I enjoy your Taylor Swift reactions. Keep it up!
