"In the middle of my backswing!" The funniest moment of everything in Stargate SG-1, in my opinion. It still cracks me up. One of the best episodes ever!
Colonel O’Neill: Lose it... It means go crazy, nuts, insane, bonzo, no longer in possession of ones faculties, three fries short of a Happy Meal, wacko!

You gotta love how Joseph has continued to provide us with Stargate content even after so long of it being off air. His blog is awesome for extra bonus content!
"The Tao of Rodney" was my favourite episode. But then Rodney was my favourite character & stargate atlantis my favourire series!! I think what made Rodney so great was the way he boosted his own ego to compensate for his frailties & insecurities. The episode was hilariously funny with his super powers boosting his ego even more than usual which one would have thought not possible LOL
I almost didn't watch atlantis originally because I thought Rodney was a piece of shit from the first time he was introduced. Thankfully his character developed way better over time.
@@LTXwooshie Rodney's character arch was the best arch in the series I think (mostly cause of his character and screen time), followed very closely by Woosely
Gotta disagree. A Matter Of Time (the episode where a black hole is keeping the gate open) is probably the one of the best episodes that wasn’t a season ending two parter. It had a little bit of everything. A little high concept sci-fi, some humor, classic SG problem solving and improvisation, some character moments and internal conflict, and even a bit of cosmic horror. The MALP still of the frightened face of the SG team leader as the black hole looms over his shoulder in the sky is an image I’ll never forget. If anyone asks what made this show work, I often point out this episode.
@@matthew8153 So trump is the president? Then its his fault for inflation and high gas prices and the Russia Ukraine war, the open boarders in the south and distribution and shortages.
I travel a lot so watching TV is rather difficult. One night and I can't remember where I watched a rerun episode of StarGate which happened to be this episode. Now I was aware of Stargate being on TV but the series had long been cancelled and didn't watch it when it was in production. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode and decided to give the series a watch so I ordered the entire 10 season DVD collection on ebay so I could watch the entire series on my own time. Started on the first season and watched them in order each week. LOVED IT!!! Then I started with Stargate Atlantis and finished with SGU. I watch an episode at least twice a week.
The one part that makes die of laughter is when they cut to Teal'c for the first getting hit by the door. It gets even funnier with the progression of it.
Amazing episode. There are some tropes in tv I’m not a fan of or just generally bored with but ‘Time Loop’ will always be a favourite of mine and when Stargate did it I was over the moon
• The exclamation mark in the thumbnail looks a little crooked; the top is sagging. 😕 • "Window of Opportunity" was actually very much like the _Star Trek: Voyager_ two-episode arc "Year of Hell" which came almost three years earlier. They were both about someone manipulating time to prevent a loved one from dying. I wonder if one of the time-loop stories that Mallozzi mentioned watching was that. 🤔
Technically "Year of Hell" wasn't so much a time loop as time alteration episode, a better example of a Star Trek time loop episode is "Cause and Effect.."
So if you ever have a chance to talk to the SG1 actors or Joe again about this episode, here's what I'd like to know: 1. What was it like for the actors to shoot Window of Opportunity, particularly RDA and Chris Judge who had to do all those hilarious bits about being frustrated stuck in the time loop? 2. Before knowing how big of a hit this episode was going to be, did it bother Joe Mallozzi that the other writers in essence threw out his idea to do a dark version of the time loop? Does he ever wonder how that version could've gone and would like to explore the idea of a darker time loop in some other show/universe?
A good episode, at the time I was so annoyed about it because it didn't add anything to the overall story arc and watching week to week and getting a bottle episode must be the worse fate a fan can receive from the writers. Now the show is over yeah it's one that you can watch over and appreciate, it was extremely well done. Still wondering what Daniel's orginal question was? Obviously not about fruit loops.
Malakai and Rush seems to have a lot in common. I think Rush hope to resurect Gloria by ascending or something he would find with the 9th chevron, then with the Destiny. That's why is so obssessed by this project and so hangry.
I think they both knew (certainly Rick did, with a background in mime). It came up when they were looking for extra bits to fill out the episode when it was coming in short.
#JosephMallozzi - Any news on #DarkMatter?... what happens once the Black-ships finish arriving into this dimension? #SGU does #EliWallace repair the #HibernationPod in time?... What would #Destiny find once she reaches her #Destination?
I want to disagree and say WoO wasn't my favourite but it absolutely is. But it's very closely followed by 2010, and 2001, which I see as being a movie 2 parter. I just loved that storyline.
Daniel and Sam would have been poor choices because when it comes to science and language Jack and General Hammond would automatically defer to whatever they say.
That scene Jack O'Neill playing golf with the gate. Perfect example of why I can't stand modern sci-fi except for the Expanse/BSG too much Social Justice Warrior politics ruins any chance at honest levity because everyone has realized in 2020 sjw's can't Meme and they can't tell jokes and they sure as hell can't understand jokes.
Nobody as whiny and unfunny as an anti-SJW. But because you live in the tiniest of bubbles and the most absurd tipsy-turvy world you still think your side has any kind of sophistication when the entire world is laughing at you.
They unfortunately failed to have continuity out of this script. Consequently, Tilc and O'Neil remained ignorant of languages and science after being in the loop and having been tutored to solve it while still remembering their time from within it. Aagh.

Best time loop episode to this day. Humor was why SG1/A were beloved and why SGU wasn't (not that it was bad if you weren't expecting SG).

“Window of Opportunity” was my first experience with SG1
The funniest and most heart wrenching episode of SG1.

Capt, relativity gives me a headache - General Hammond LOL
Interesting tidbit about the length of scripts. Never thought about that.
RDA was brilliant in this episode. Both hilarious and dramatic. I laughed and cried. And some people say he is not a good actor..
Some people also think Biden’s the president. Let them live in their delusions.

I got a good laugh on Atlantis when the painting was revealed showing Rodney as the hero and Sheppard hiding 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
By far my favorite episode!
"In the middle of my backswing!"
Window of Opportunity is one of the bests Stargate Sg-1 episode.
