It was a great drive and my car is famous! :) Thanks for the shout out. It has been over three years and still love the car. Thanks again for your videos as they really help me enjoy the ride. I have a friend who lives near Swannanoa, NC. He and neighbors survived thanks to solar, generators, individual/group initiatives, and FEMA. He was able to blog about his experience.
Those of us who have lived in New England for a long time I think tend to take for granted how beautiful it is, especially in the fall. Fun seeing it through the eyes of someone from a different area. Hoping to buy my first Mach-E next year.
I took the same gorgeous fall drive to where this video started, but from New Milford CT up/ down RT 7 in my 2020 Bolt. Made it round trip without needing to charge.
Wish that I (and Moxie) could've been flies in the cabin! I miss the fall colors in New England, and can't imagine a better way to enjoy them than driving an EV through the countryside.
It's a nice quiet drive. That is what EVs are used for. For your video, it looks good, but needs to be uploaded with HDR. My system can display HDR. Did you see the rivian that floated down the street in north Carolina? It was covered in mud. The rivian opened the door and still moving. The inside was nice and dry. All it needed was a car wash.
All that quality time spent with friends at the charging station for a few miles on the road. Stop promoting old battery technology in an attempt to drive adoption of a bad car design.
@MachE_VLOG Sorry for any confusion. Until the new technology batteries arrive it is cruel to show current Battery electric vehicles in a positive manner to folks who may not be aware that new battery chemistry will make every car with old technology obsolete. I actually favor the use of electric cars in urban settings and specific uses where applicable. Heck, I advocate ending cruise ships and 300 foot private yachts and jets as that would do more for the enviroment in one fell swoop than any other action possible. But it is a buyer beware market in electric cars and should remain niche' and solidly in the hobby classification. Folks need a reality check on this entire subject matter and one of which is addressing "scampering" about in BEVs without a care in the world. Always glad to see friends having fun and I am just trying to make real change happen and that often starts with a lone voice saying unpopular things. Thanks.
@@Eileen-e8f I think that is the wrong conclusion. These cars are fantastic and we don't need to wait until there is 500 miles of range. There is always going to be some new technology just around the corner but why wait for it? In the years that we are waiting for new technology I could put 100,000 miles on my current car. We're actually looking at buying a second EV and our only requirement is that it has 100 miles of range.
@@MachE_VLOG You make a good point that a BEV works for your limited use case. Hit debris in the road that damages the battery and your pleasant drive becomes an ecological disaster hazmat site. Runaway batteries are a thing just charging again making a hazmat site to clean up. So from a realist perspective BEV are currently far worse for the enviroment. Battery disposal alone is already an issue and risks to human safety is higher all with increased use of resources especially electricity. Newer tech is coming so why fill dump sites with extra dead toxic batteries just for fun? Thanks.
@@Eileen-e8f The battery is pretty well protected and hitting debris is extremely rare. If it is damaged, it is not a disaster. The car could be towed to a repair shop where the damaged modules can be replaced. Compare that to a gas car where debris could mean spilling gas all over the road. You might want to research battery recycling too. 95% of the battery materials can be recycled. The biggest problem right now is that there aren't enough batteries to recycle to make it profitable by companies -- EV batteries just last too long. And the next "breakthrough" technology is solid state batteries which still require lithium. In addition to recycling, there is also reuse potential. A battery that no longer meets the needs of an EV can often be reused in other environments like home energy storage. BTW, I don't have a limited use case. My case is pretty typical. I drive locally except for a few times per year. Did you know that the average American drives more than 150 miles on just 4 days per year? I actually exceeded that this year and our EV was just fine. (See videos)

Beautiful, great fun! Thanks
I had a great time on the drive! Thanks for helping to put this together, it was a pleasure meeting you both!
Thanks for coming Brian! - Liv
Awesome video! Beautiful scenery. The new camera really captured it beautifully! It felt like I was in the backseat with both of you!!

@MachE_VLOG Thank you! Daily driver with 105 mile round trip work commute.

I just discovered Blue Cruise. Unreal that 90% of my drive to work and back is on interstate 85 and Blue Cruise totally took over!!
We drove up to NJ from Central Fl to visit family in our '24 Audi Etron. The Autum Leaves were nice to see.Looks like you had a fun road trip.
Ooh that's a great car! Must have been a lovely drive! The East Coast really is beautiful this time of year! - Liv
@@MachE_VLOG Thanks for the nice comments.
Great video for Fayetteville NC. We have a black 2021 Mach-E

I'm happy with my Rally
Oh I bet!! 😍 What color did you get? - Liv
@MachE_VLOG Glacier Gray
Why? The fast charger can't recharge my car😢
