For me, August Rush is a very heartwarming movie that stuck in my mind, including the soundtrack.

Absolutely breathtaking. This is one of the most masterfully moving pieces of music and composition I have ever heard and as a 48 year old pianist I have studied Mozart, Beethoven, Handel, Chopin,Grieg, and of course Billy Joel heh.. I only wish whomever filmed this had given us a cameo shot of the woman who did the vocals. That is one of the most poignant areas of the piece and imho the most spiritually uplifting, and I personally feel she deserved a close up. Either way fantastic job to all who participated.
What a brave group to tackle this piece. This piece is already so unique that I feel like you must perfectly emulate the performance from the film. This performance had great moments. Tempo was a bit of an issue. Horns did an amazing job at rising above the melody for their features with impeccable timing then falling back to to allow the rest of the piece to flow. The vocal soloist has a great voice, but could have used better timing in executing her ad lib parts, and even past the issue of timing, she cowered away from the part in the end as if she was lost and did not know where to fall back into the song. The beginning of the song slowed tremendously for the cellist to execute his solo. I am no cellist, so I cannot speak for him, but in the case of emulating the original, he did not execute. The auxiliary parts were on point. Every extra part of the song that made it so unique came out great in this performance. Overall good job with this.
A cacophony of the sounds of everyday life around us dressed by a teenager (no doubt) musically talented in rhapsody, while listening to it, you sometimes have the impression that there is chaos, on the contrary, there is a kind of harmony in this rhapsody, and here is the teenager's talent.
