White-throated dipper ( Cinclus cinclus ) / Vízirigó

The White-throated dipper ( Cinclus cinclus ) lives along streams and rivers with clear water. This bird, which belongs to the order of Passeriformes ("sparrows-shaped birds), obtains its food in a special way, falling under the water, walking at the bottom of the creek bed. With its wings, it stabilizes itself by taking advantage of the flow of the stream.
A vízirigó tiszta vizű patakok, folyók mentén él. Ez a verébalakúak rendjébe tartozó madár a táplálékát különleges módon, a víz alá bukva, a patakmeder alján sétálgatva szerzi meg. Szárnyával a patak sodrását kihasználva stabilizálja magát.
