I think the Hardie injury concern and Connolly being most likely fit tips me back starting one of Abbot/Edwards. Short scoring a 50 would drop like 14-15k or so and if he is only bowling 0-1 overs with 5 other front line bowlers bowling it is a massively possibility. Gotta hope Maxwell is fit so that Shorts ownership goes down to like 35%. But also he is priced at 103 so therefore if he scores less than 103 it is technically a win for non owners even if he goes large like 90+.
I have pretty strong views on matt short personally and likely won't be picking him until rd4 which i know is in the minority way of thinking. Unless he somehow is still bowling 3-4 overs which im just banking on he doesn't. And if you're not starting with him then i don't think he's a must for rd2. The reasons you left him out for rd1 will still be there rd2 and if anything will only be harder to get him via trades. If he comes out bowling like 0-1 overs max, then even if he drops like 30k rd1, i still don't think he's worth getting 🤷♂️ 270k for predominantly a batsman only then is way too expensive regardless of who it is. Especially when you're also saying guys like Lynn at 190k are already overpriced. Most of his bowling points last year came in games bowling 3+ overs too. I just think their additions could severely reduce his bowling role and then he needs another freakish year with the bat, in the most volatile scoring format too, statistically speaking its unlikely. Im probably taking the punt and taking him on the early rounds and better spending my money elsewhere which could also help in the long run as well as short term. If im wrong then so be it, if i have to tear apart my team to get him in for rd2 so be it, but im on the side of the fence that will be against him. He's not averaging 100 again thats for sure haha and Fabian Allen in particular i reakon can really hurt him if they are also picking 2 front line spinners which seems likely. Fabian could just take over that Short bowling role from last year as the 6th option and Short focuses more on batting. You're not signing a guy like Fabian to not bowl him either surely 🤷♂️ 1 good ball and Short is out haha. 7/12 of his past T20 games this year he's been out for under 20 too with some in the 20s too. I guess we'll see at seasons end which way was the right way. Am i crazy, yes lol. Finish top 10 or 10k type of move lol. But got have an opinion one way or another i guess

Honestly mate, it could be the move that wins someone SuperCoach. Absolutely huge balls if it comes off but it could absolutely sink your season too!
I'm just planning a must 2 trade in 2 week plan with him
Just wandering if you vc Maxwell who are you captaining?
Renegades bowler or someone like Overton potentially on a single
Will Maxwell be fit to bowl
