Great video - but worth pointing out that while he may be the world's fastest horse, he is only doing a swinging canter/2 minute lick in this video. In fast works and his races he would clock well over 40mph and up to 45mph.

Baataash is getting older but looks faster than Nature Strip to me and doesn't flatten out like nature strip. At 6 to 61/2 furlongs he looks like he will keep going after 5 to 51/2 no problem match race for 6 furlongs I'd say

Bataash is a sprinter dear. That's why he's the fastest horse in the world today. He would beat any horse, past or present over 6f.

@@oceanwhisperer His records still stand today and he's still the fastest in the world ⬇️
Beside this, what races did secretariat lose?
April 21, 1973 ~ Wood Memorial ~ 1 1/8 mile ~ Aqueduct Race Course. Secretariat had lost his first race, and later was disqualified from a victory, however that was in the past. Few expected Secretariat to EVER lose another race. But in his last big prep for the Kentucky Derby, the Big Red Horse did lose.
Likewise, do Secretariat records still stand? Secretariat set records that are still standing today. Accelerating with each quarter-mile segment, he crossed the finish line at 1:59 2/5th, a new (and still standing) course record. In the 40 years since, only one other horse, Monarchos, has finished in under 2 minutes.
Also to know is, how many losses did secretariat have?
After his Triple Crown victory, and a “Farewell to Secretariat” Day at Belmont to a crowd of 32,900, the chestnut horse was flown to Claiborne Farm in Paris, Kentucky. Here, he would sire 582 offspring, including 41 stakes winners.
How many races did Seabiscuit lose?
Seabiscuit, (foaled 1933), American racehorse (Thoroughbred) that in six seasons (1935-40) won 33 of 89 races and a total of $437,730, a record for American Thoroughbreds (broken 1942). His unlikely success proved a welcome diversion to millions during the Great Depression, and he became a national phenomenon.
      Who broke Secretariat's records?
He received the Eclipse Award for champion two-year-old colt, and also was the 1972 Horse of the Year, a rare honor for a horse so young. At age three, Secretariat not only won the Triple Crown, he set speed records in all three races.Secretariat (horse)
      Secretariat
      Record 21: 16-3-1
      Earnings $1,316,808
Major wins. The closest any horse has come to breaking the record was in 2001, when Monarchos won with a time of 1:59:97. That's more than a half-second slower than Secretariat. In a horse race, that seems like a massive difference. What was Secretariat worth? The price tag was a then-record $6.08 million. Secretariat won his first two races that year, but in his final tuneup before the Kentucky Derby, he finished third behind Angle Light and Sham in the Wood Memorial at Aqueduct.Who is the fastest horse in history?Secretariat. The Top 3
Secretariat Secretariat was an American Thoroughbred racehorse who, in 1973, became the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years.
Man O' War Man o' War was an American Thoroughbred who is widely considered one of the greatest racehorses of all time.
Frankel Frankel is a British Thoroughbred racehorse. What was Secretariat worth when he died?$6.08 million. How much was Seabiscuit worth? In 1937, the Santa Anita Handicap, California's most prestigious race, was worth over $125,000 ($2.3 million in 2010) to the winner; it was known colloquially as "The Hundred Grander." In his first warm-up race at Santa Anita Park, Seabiscuit won easily. Not close secretariat. What race did Man O'War lose?James G. Rowe Sr. Upset was notable as the only horse to have ever defeated Man o' War. Man o' War, who won 20 of his 21 starts, faced Upset in the seventh running of the Sanford Memorial Stakes at Saratoga Race Course on August 13, 1919.Does Secretariat still hold the Belmont record? In 1973, Secretariat won horse racing's Triple Crown and set records that still stand today at the Kentucky Derby and the Belmont Stakes. Now, 39 years later, the legend has been recognized as having also set a still-standing record at the Preakness Stakes. How was Secretariat so fast? When we learned that Secretariat won the Belmont Stakes in 1973 by 31 lengths and ran the fastest 1 1/2 miles on dirt in history (2:24 flat), we were intrigued. The conventional explanation for Secretariat's success was that on autopsy his heart was found to be three times the normal size for his breed. How much did Secretariat's heart weigh?22 pounds. Who is the fastest horse in history?Secretariat.Who's the Fastest Triple Crown Winner? Secretariat.
It's easily said that secretariat would beat Seabiscuit in a race by 6 lengths, Google says it and it's proven in an old article that was removed. He tops Man o war in Lists, and he tops many other racehorses . To secretariat is top horse.
