@@Yu-jc5ih So much to say… I have actually written four novels over 200 pages each about my life and becoming the artist FreddyMax. I haven’t published them yet, but soon will. My childhood was normal until my folks divorced when I was nine years old. My mother, who gave me the nickname FreddyMax, was a very talented woman who played many instruments, sang, and acted. However, the men in her life made our lives hell... Thus, my self-esteem was wrecked at such a young age. I went into a shell and tried to stay away from my house as much as possible. I was alone most of the time and never felt I could amount to anything. I lived in a rural area, so I stayed in the woods behind my house with my beagles a lot and felt very connected to nature. I played the guitar, but I struggled to stay with it because I thought I was no good at it... I was overweight, had bad hygiene, and the least of my high school class. I was bullied often... The only people who were behind me in school were the kids who dropped out. I never dated and became suicidal... Nevertheless, I made a friend in the class lower than me in high school. He was very popular, in great shape, and all of the girls loved him. I met this guy in shop class. We shared a love for the outdoors and woodworking. I could not believe that a guy so popular would befriend me. Thus, I felt empowered, and I wanted to be like him. I started working out and running, and I decided to join the US Marine Corps after working one year after high school. I lost over 60 pounds and was in amazing shape. I finally got some attention from girls... Nobody in my family supported my decision of joining the Marines and stated I would never make it in becoming a Marine. Well, I proved them wrong and exceled in the Marines, and became a bodybuilder and powerlifter. After my honorable time in the Marines, I decided to attend college. Once again, my family did not believe in me because I was such a lousy student in high school. Nevertheless, I went on to earn six associate degrees, bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD in Economics. I have accomplished a lot in life after leaving a home that was beyond dysfunctional. If I can be successful in accomplishing my dreams, anyone can! Today, that is my goal in pursuing music, art, and writing. I am just getting started in this new venture of putting my art online in hopes that I can encourage others to pursue their dreams when people make them feel like that is impossible!
