I grew up in Interlachen, back in the Estates. I cannot hardly recognize the place anymore! Thank you for doing these videos, I loved seeing the place again!!

My grandfather lived in Grandin Lake Shores right at the boat ramp for Grandin Lake. It lost a lot of water back in the mid 80's and the lake shoreline shrunk with dry docks and unusable boat ramps. I spent a few fun summers there back in the late 70's early 80's. Puking from chewing tobacco. Sneaking super cheap beer and getting drunk on one can. Catching lunker bass and big "butter cats" catfish setting the cane pole out over night. Following my grandpa around like his shadow 'helping' him. Might very well be the best time of my life.

Awesome. We didn't move here until 1982. But I spent a lot of time up here with my grandparents in the 70's too. And I concur it was the best of times. For sure.

I’m actually looking to buy and restore a historic building so your video was very helpful. I watched it and matched it to google maps. Very helpful

Any idea where one would find some large rocks that could be used for a small garden rockery? If anyone may know this, I think it would be you :)

I would suggest Lowe's or Home Depot. If they don't have what you're looking for you could try a nursery or landscaper.

In the late 80's there was a rap grpup that was very popular from Compton. That sign was stolen many times back then. lol
