As an L.A. native now living across the country, I could cry seeing all this footage of just how wonderful L.A. was in the 80s & 90s. It really was magnificent.
Those days won't be back sadly.... I loved the 80s ..had a real vibe and a feeling anything was possible...to have an idea for business and make it happen in a short time without much money. Now its all corporate to an extreme...where is the American dream now? sad.
John Ritter and Michael Landon were extremely talented actors, They left the world wonderful films to enjoy. Imagine how much more we could have gotten had they lived longer.....RIP
His funny goofy comedy style didn't fit all roles; hence he wasn't cast in many movies. It would have been cool to see him in a big movie roll where his style could have shined. Something were he can be a sarcastic funnyman.
@edition-deluxe yeah, for whatever reason no one really gave him that shot at the lead roll in a movie like that, like a 80's version of Something about Mary perhaps, in the 80's of course, he was in the original version of IT , but even in that movie he wasn't himself.
what a fun movie John Ritter does some of his crazy acrobats and Connie Sellacca is just gorgeous, her eyes are the most beautiful I've ever seen. Perfection in the wedding dress.
Scott Bakula had such a baby face. 32 years old. So young. John Ritter, what can you say? I still love that man. Gone too soon. 💔 This is one of my favorite movies. I really miss the 80's.
@@lorenzbeaumacc1175 His death was due to a thoracic aortic dissection; which is a tear in the inner layer of the aorta. This allows blood to flow between the aortic wall and usually requires immediate surgery. Sadly, be was misdiagnosed. 😢
@@lorenzbeaumacc1175 On September 11, 2003, Ritter was rehearsing for 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter when he suddenly fell ill & began to experience problems with his heart. He was taken to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center where Ritter was initially treated by ER physicians for a heart attack; however, his condition rapidly worsened. Ritter was then diagnosed with aortic dissection & was taken into surgery. Alas, Ritter was pronounced dead at age 54 later that evening.
1:14:45 John Ritter was so athletic! He could've been a wide receiver on a football team. Or a gymnast! Or a track star! What a great movie. Half the movie is Ritter running around trying to find this woman. I loved how he knew he loved her, was unafraid to profess his love, and searched the entire city to try to find her. He says, I have always loved you. RIP John Ritter. What a talent.
I don’t know how anyone can say this is a ‘wholesome’ script. A bachelor jumping in and out of bed with random women, an engaged man who heads to Vegas with his buddies to be ‘boys’ and an angry woman whose girlfriend encourages her to have one last ‘fling’ before she marries! 😮 What has happened to our culture?
The 80's vibe comes from a movie which does not depict real life. Surely, many people struggled in those times as well. You're confusing the vibe of a movie made for dreams with real life. So many people would love to live in some eras, but only with a very good status.
Really loved this movie. Am so happy i didnt realize before i watched it. That john had passed away. That would have taken away from seeing him so happy in the film. So alive. What a great actor
Right, they actually cared about telling a compelling story, instead of barraging the viewer with high priced scenes and graphics, but a poorly written story that, sometimes, sounds more like a lecture or even propaganda! Even bad movies had good stories.
The 80s were great, you could actually have a apartment like that from working at a job; albeit a good job, but still, today you'd need to have old family money or some serious cash cow businesses.
He was a lawyer, for goodness sake ! He didn't just have a job. And today, very young people do big money as well, just by being RUclipsrs. The 80s were just terrible, only money, appearance, no love, no compassion. I was a young adult in this time and it was terrible !
Marty94 Great romcom, so rarely made these days. Connie is so beautiful and an excellent, versatile actress. Although similar to The Graduate, this film is a lot more fun, but hey guys, there were telephones in them thar bygone days! Nonetheless, don’t change a line of this yarn. John (or his stunt man) was sure put through quite an escapade at the end. Loved his spirit of adventure in Mexico. The dancing on the truck was lots of fun and a brilliant bit of moviemaking. One question: why object to loading the dishwasher for maximum utility?(ekoj). This film has made me a Connie Sellecca fan for life!
It’s only a movie and he was being controlling and she was just tired of him for every reason in the first place. I love it that my own husband loads the dishwasher because he can do it better than me.
This is trippie! It's like walking into a time machine and seeing how life used to be. I'm wondering where are all the Cadillacs which have been tricked out and cruising by?
3:20 OMG I had that same car, but mine was a light blue an Opel two tone 85 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z, it was Dodge's top sports car at the time with a whopping 146hp and, it had a Turbo gauge on the center council, LoL I did love the sound the Turbo would make on a cool summer morning, it was like a jet taxing on the tarmac
Merci pour ce beau film avec connie selleca et john ritter toujours aussi amusant et elle est très belle toujours maintenant deux acteurs de ces belles années ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤anne
As an L.A. native now living across the country, I could cry seeing all this footage of just how wonderful L.A. was in the 80s & 90s. It really was magnificent.
It will be again. ❤
It hasn't been nice there for some time. I would love to see that day❤

I saw John Ritter starred in this movie and I had to watch it!!! I always loved him as an actor ❤❤
Ha, same here! I hadn't heard his name in a long time, and Connie Sellica as a bonus, I definitely had to check this movie out!!

A likeable comic presence in his films
@@edition-deluxehe could have done the Richard Gere role in Pretty Woman based on this movie
More than once the word sex was blocked out.
What a time 70s and 80s were😊.
Thoroughly enjoyed this movie❤❤❤
They cut out the love making scene, too. But, the stripper scene was okay. Good grief.
Beautiful... How I love how simple life was back then..... ❤
Not a mobile phone 📱 in sight!
what a fun movie John Ritter does some of his crazy acrobats and Connie Sellacca is just gorgeous, her eyes are the most beautiful I've ever seen. Perfection in the wedding dress.
Yes; John Ritter and Lucille Ball-- both masters at physical comedy (prat falls, basic clown techniques, etc).
Scott Bakula had such a baby face. 32 years old. So young. John Ritter, what can you say? I still love that man. Gone too soon. 💔 This is one of my favorite movies. I really miss the 80's.
RIP John Ritter, one of the most funniest men that ever lived.
John Ritter was one of a kind. NO ONE like him.
Andrew McCarthy , Jonathan Silverman
Mario Lopez! The young guy behind the front desk in Acapulco 😂
Oh John Ritter, how I miss you 💔
He was one of a kind.
🎉 💞 🎈

Connie Sellica beautiful.

I agree
yes I agree I just watched it last night and really enjoyed it and I had never even heard of it. Yes Connie was stunning in this!
I have always been a Connie Sellica fan - gorgeous and a little bit of John's fan
John Ritter died too young
I have always loved John Ritter so sad he passed away 😂😢 he’s son looks exactly like him ❤❤

The actor playing Jason Elliot is John Bennett Perry. He is the father of the late Matthew Perry.

@@test-do1gc he was very athletic in Threes Company too. Summersaults over that 70's couch etc. A live wire.
The stunt double never gets any compliments.
After such a difficult and hard day, what a lovely movie so full of dreams and true love… too bad I had lost all my shots, including the wedding….
That's sad, it's never too late

Great romantic comedy. John Ritter was the best. RIP❤
He was sensational
Philip and those cute cats little fued. 😂
Edit: Connie Selleca is now nearing 70 and she's still so fricking gorgeous!❤
Connie Selleca is gorgeous! There are few black haired actresses. She is one of a kind. Very memorable.
Try Bollywood
You mean white actresses. Racist.
@@RobertRedford77Uhhh, try WHITE with black hair...
Keep in mind that the vast majority of blonds are fake…
FYI, her real name is Concetta Sellecchia and she is of Italian origin.
Connie Sellecca looks absolutely gorgeous in this. But then again she always is.
RIP John Ritter loved his movies 🌹
Hate he died, few were as authentic,... talented & funny! George Carlon, & Robin Williams also will be missed
Light hearted fun. Miss these movies 😊
Don’t really care for the movie but G-d the 80’s vibe energy takes my breath away.

It was directed by Corey Allen . He was James Dean ‘s arch gang rival in Rebel without a cause in his acting days in 1955.
