      I think nagashi somen would be only worth it as a curiosity, but I'd definitely like the experience of eating at a kawadoko ("river floor") restaurant

    Kibune and Kurama is the best place to visit in Kyoto of crazy Japanese summer.

    Oh my gosh, thank you for showing this vlog! I will be heading around the Kansai area in September...so excited! Luckily I stumbled across a guide for Mt. Kurama and a hiking trail from Kibune to Kurama. But it's really cice to get some visualization form you folks; I'm subbing!!!

      It looks like the place is no longer available.. we stayed in the Higashiyama district near Kiyomizdera so hopefully you can find something similar nearby!

    Hello guys, is it enough if I spend 3 - 4 hours at kibune & kurama? I will go to Japan around Feb 2020. Anyway, Thanks for sharing your experience :)

      Hello! It depends on what you plan on doing there. If you're only going to take a quick look around Kibune, that should be enough time. But if you plan on eating, touring the temple, or visiting the onsen, you might need more time. They're a bit spread out and most restaurants are Kaiseki style so they take up a good amount of time. Our visit took a full day. I hope this helps!

      6 1/2 days: 3 days in Tokyo and 3 1/2 days in Kyoto.
