Oh my gosh, thank you for showing this vlog! I will be heading around the Kansai area in September...so excited! Luckily I stumbled across a guide for Mt. Kurama and a hiking trail from Kibune to Kurama. But it's really cice to get some visualization form you folks; I'm subbing!!!
I like the vids, I thought for sure that with the quality of the videos y’all had at least 500k... You guys definitely deserve more but keep grinding and you’ll get there
It looks like the place is no longer available.. we stayed in the Higashiyama district near Kiyomizdera so hopefully you can find something similar nearby!
Hello! It depends on what you plan on doing there. If you're only going to take a quick look around Kibune, that should be enough time. But if you plan on eating, touring the temple, or visiting the onsen, you might need more time. They're a bit spread out and most restaurants are Kaiseki style so they take up a good amount of time. Our visit took a full day. I hope this helps!
Do you think nagashi somen at Hirobun is worth the wait?
Looks worth the wait!
Agreed!

I think nagashi somen would be only worth it as a curiosity, but I'd definitely like the experience of eating at a kawadoko ("river floor") restaurant
Kibune and Kurama is the best place to visit in Kyoto of crazy Japanese summer.
Agreed, we absolutely loved it there. It felt like we stepped into a movie it was so beautiful!

Hirobun was the most fun meal I've ever had! Wish we could teleport there for lunch today :)
What flavor is the ice cream?

6 1/2 days: 3 days in Tokyo and 3 1/2 days in Kyoto.

Haha yes, a lesson we will carry with us forever lol
That restaurant was so beautiful but boy is it a recipe for norovirus virus for everybody downstream!
