yea I think in CA about 70 to 80% right 20 to 30 left. One guy has a F Biden banner for his single cab. nobody argues. During covid. at a show Said masks required all over the place. 10% of them wore them. you would think in CA mostly Liberals but not in this group. they are the lesser of the bunch from what I can tell.
Hey man..remember when someone in the comments bummed you out about doing the BucketWagen…and you kept pushing and did what made you happy…look how happy it’s making all those strangers. Congrats…love your hard work.
I love these videos. My 1st car was a '61 Ghia. I drove the wheels off that car! If I'd had the tools and knowledge I have now I could have restored it. Finding these old VWs gets harder every year!
Mike, l love your videos man. Been workin on my '61 panel bus since November, and l fired her up for the first time (in 23 years!), but now l've decided to replace her entire wiring system as well. Gettin closer everyday. This has been SO much fun! I've learned a lot from you, brother.
IF I recall correctly they tore down the showroom for Econo Motors. But kept part of the original building behind it. the Entire showroom was glass. I remember it was still open during the construction so they did keep part of it I used to drive up the back driveway and park henind the building and go in there to get parts. they totally redid the back lot behind it too. there was a street that went around the building from behind that came out the driveway of the current VW dealer. Darrel Vittones race shop was behind the building. The service center was like in the middle. and all those dealerships with all those brands was only VW....it was huge. had used car lot and new cars. All along Indiana was a huge row of things in the early 70s.
I appreciate your comments during this video about service entry panel requirements. A lot of those Requirements you mentioned are also required when installing solar systems. I could go on and on about this topic
Yeah if you get an electric car you need a 50 amp 220 in your garage for overnight charging. My biggest is 30. It's doable but I couldn't get a full charge overnight. If they increase the range of the batteries, then it will jump to 100 amp 220, and probably need a 300 amp main service. Who has that..... Answer nobody. Can you imagine just the amount of copper needed to add that to every house even the 50 amp
@@Mikefngarage. I have a brand new service panel at home that I’m not gonna install. It’s a 200 Amp Center fed. Service panel changes have changed a lot over the last couple years due to solar. There’s a lot of new solar ready panels that have locations to dump extra electricity for solar and for generators. But from what I can tell these newer larger service panels are probably what we all will need eventually. I think they need to create a new 400 amp 320 dedicated service panel with solar ready and with generator and with locations for vehicle charging X2. These technologies have been changing really quickly over the last five years. I think there’s gonna be something new that comes out here pretty soon that’s even better that accommodates all of this stuff. And you’re right it will take a lot of larger copper
That gold bug @3:52 in the video. Sweet. Big tail lights, so is that a Super Beetle (what year is that car?) The wheels look great too. Thanks for posting Mike!
