In 1965 travelling home to England from Canada and Japan I got caught in Kashmir in the first India - Pakistan (then West Pakistan) conflict and I was unable to proceed via my planned route through Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey and Europe. I travelled deck class on cargo ship to Kuwait from Bombay. I have always regretted that conflict forcing me to miss some wonderful countries and with steam trains as well. Thanks for the wonderful film and good to see a few cyclists. I have been a cyclist for 80 years - I have a car but prefer to cycle. Cars are dangerous alas.

It is a beautiful landscape indeed. My father had visited Quetta Chaman, when he was posted in Karachi, in British India and used to narrate about the fruits grown there. A railway journey is indeed a lovely journey. No doubt, the railway network is outdated yet it gives me an old world charm but missed the steam locomotives. Of course, Baluchistan has been not developed by the authorities but it has its own natural beauty and one should see the railways and the stations not on modern set up but with its nascent beauty. Thanks for uploading on social media as I could enjoy it virtually because visiting in person is out of question for us.
