Tobi NotTobi KKSNAJASKS IVE DONE THAT SO MANY TIMES YOU DONT EVEN KNOW. AT SCHOOL I WOULD STAND UP FROM MY CHAIR AND RANDOMLY START DOING IT. ITS LIKE MY SECOND INSTINCT NOW
Killing it, Graham! So glad you guys don't use Dr. Beat anymore...that thing was the death of me! Towards the end of the season it had gotten rained on so many times the the 16th and triplet subdivision sliders would get stuck on. We got yelled at so many times. :/
In my day--in 2004, god--we used a Doctor, not an iPhone, Jim. Seriously though I love seeing these rehearsal videos because they both take me back and show me how much different the experience is now.
Whenever I watch these videos, it almost seems like the players are ahead of the beat at times, especially drumline, as if they are compensating for the speed of sound with the pit. Am I imagining this?
No you're exactly right, the pit is going to sound late because they're farther away than the drums and it takes longer for sound to get to the camera mic. From the stands however it's locked in.
Would also like to see more. Curious which app you are using? Seemed to work pretty slick and much better than the DB we use at the HS I teach at. Good luck this season!
I have a question. My high school has always used a dr beat metronome with a wireless set-up to a mega vox. However we have a few ritardondos in our show this year and so I programmed it into tonal energy and it worked like a charm. The only downside was that when we plugged it into our wireless setup it was extremely quiet. Is there a way that you know if to make it louder, other than running a cable down our entire field? If not I totally understand. Thank you!
I think it's officially impossible to listen to this show without bobbing your head
Nahgg Boi Or do that little dance in your seat that they do up on the prop?

Why was the trumpet solo in the beginning got replaced with an audio sample?
SeHyunTheGreat it wasn't?
Alex Clay they placed the audio sample up to "images of unfamiliar faces"
Alex Clay it was if you watch the show, the first two verses are replaced with audio from the actual song
Zyther the solo is still there though I knew about the 2 verses from the beginning

Wow, thats an awesome job, do you use a certain app or something?
are you changing tempos/rhythms the entire time? If not why do you keep scrolling on the phone?
Good question! It's all programmed into Tonal Energy but I like to follow along so I scroll to keep up!
ahh very cool! Thanks for a quick response on such an old video!
The instrumental version of the intro would've been *so* much better. Shame it was cut.
