@MegaSim , You need to bring the reverser as far back as you can, and you will be able to maintain boiler pressure whilst steaming. Watch the V markers in the centre of the pressure guage face, it should indicate if you are maintaining pressure.
Probably dont want to be leaving the tender water valves open while not injecting water as leaving them open is wasting water by dumping it onto the ground and not into the boiler.

I had the 8f over 300mph on the reliable rescue, didn't even get a hotbox. I think it may of been a glitch! An old PS4 might be the problem, it also has some strange valve events when climbing slowly , like it can't decide if it's going forward or backwards
Hi does pc have the bug where loaded freight with the 8F are empty in scenario planner?
The small injector should be open when statioary and closed (turned off) when 25mph is reached
Is that not the large ejector because the engine could prime if the small ejector is turned off
The small ejector is there to maintain vacuum while the train is on the move, the large ejector os to assist in building vacuum when the small ejector is not enough or you need to release the brakes faster. You can also apply the combination brake and close both ejectors for a hard emergency stop if needed.
Is it worth creating a dovetail account? Does it give you ratings on performance? It seems after completing a schedule or scenario, you only get a score the first time you do the run.
It's nice but this DLC needs more traffic..way to little life going on with all those tracks. Why make such a big DLC and then add so little train action? No sense.

I'm having trouble getting the train to go uphill from a standing start on wet rails. Any advice?
Don’t stop on a hill happens in real life gotta back up and get a running start your hauling tons and tons of weight
Like Travis says, don't stop there. You can help yourself a bit by using sand.
And what platform are you playing this on?...Playstation, Xbox or Pc? would be help full to know.
I think PC..most people that put vids up are PC users for some reason.
This is PC as all my videos I recorded till tomorrow were before TSW3 was officially released 👍🏻

I have v2 and need to know if it's worth upgrading.
e.g. If you do the rescue scenario, do you get stuck at a signal forever when you've dropped off the coaches and taking the duff loco back for attention?
By the way, old farts like me think a locomotive or engine is not a train🤗
