    Oh well, I am speechless on this one, Nick. That has to be, hands down the most beautiful hike, and my favorite from this whole year! We have been on some epic hikes, too. But the skies, the clouds, the colors of the terrain…..man, that was like Heaven right here on earth! Great work filming and narrating this epic adventure, and of course, taking me along with you. I will remember these times always! 😊❤

    This whole area of NW RMNP and the State Forest SP is stunningly beautiful, especially when not storming as happens so often. i checked out the "Big South" Poudre River going downstream from the confluence with LaPoudre Pass Creek last summer and was amazed by the numerous waterfalls I had been ignorant of during my previous 56 years as a Fort Collins resident. Gotta get on the trail more often before I seize up permanently, lol!

    Beautiful trail and views. Seeing what's on the other side of the Nokhu Crags from Cameron pass and Snow Lake! Should have done this while I was still in Colorado.

    The scenery in this was just beautiful. Especially when you were filming your mom coming up near the summit. Thank you for all you do. Your mom kicks ass, so I see where you got your drive to do amazing things. Epic hike!

    Another beautiful day to hike! Great video as always. You've hiked a lot of vertical gain this year, some very steep climbs. Do your hamstrings ever get sore and stiff, behind your knees? That's been my biggest issue this year.

      Thank you Vickie! I have been battling my knee the second half of the summer ever since I crashed coming down from Nimbus, but when I hurt it sometimes it swells up behind my knee. I have found ice is the saviour!

      @@nicksangetta8874 Oh no! I saw your crash coming down from Thatchtop. I watch all your hikes on my flat screen and often forget to like. You must be part Mountain Goat. The way you can cover rocks....

    Beautiful amazing area. So you did or didn't have to pay $10 to park? At the 8:40 mark there's a road in bottom right center. What is that road? As usual, thanks for taking us along.

    • @nicksangetta8874
      @nicksangetta8874  Год назад

      We paid the $10 at the self service thing. The road to the south of Thunder Pass is Grand Ditch Road which starts at the La Poudre Pass TH at the end of Long Draw Road. You cant drive or ride bikes on it, but you can hike it. Its nice, but almost everytime I am on it I have to dodge moose.

    • @Gary-s3k
      @Gary-s3k Год назад

      We don't dodge moose here in the Ozarks, only squirrels. Of course, deer all over. I live close the Lake of the Ozarks on 4.5 mostly wooded acres. Deer in yard every day. Growing bear population in southern Missouri though.@@nicksangetta8874

    I know it's a longshot, but did your mom lose her knit hat again on the Sky Pond trail today?

      Hi, John. Well, you kind of scared me with that one, but I went and checked my backpack and I still have my pink flowered knit cap! Thank you so much for thinking of me……and it was darn good seeing you again on the trail! ❤

      @johnconroy4002 Год назад +1

      @nicksangetta8874 Oh, yeah. Showed those girls the Hiayaha trail. It started raining at Sky Pond , so the rocks were really slippery on the way down. I guess you're right to start out earlier. Made my day to see you and your mom.

    • @nicksangetta8874

      @@johnconroy4002 I'm curious what they said when you showed them the trail since they thought they were on it before. Congrats on making it to Sky and back on wet rocks. The few wet rocks I had to deal with on the waterfall were slick as snot! Glad we ran into you, that was the highlight of our hike!
