Here is seen bowing in front of the Violinist to appreciate his talents on the Violin and again he hugs the female Singer for her flareless rendition of this great song which is well registered in mostly all senior citizens of India. I feel sad that this great personality SPB left us too early. May his soul rest in peace 🙏...!!

Mohd Rafi sahab was a great institution and no doubt this song described Rafi Sahab what a real gem he was. But when I listened Bala sir in this piece I could not differentiate between the God and him. He sang so peacefully and with so much ease that reminded me how down to earth personality he was like the original God Md Rafi Sahab.
Wah. I think Jaya out performed SPB in this particular song. I saw many videos of stage performance of this song, This the best rendition of female part. simply superb. And, Jaya got the spot prize for the same. And the violin was so soothing.

What a mesmerizing melody from SPB. There are couple of places SPB sir improvises which touches our hearts. At 0:50 - 0:52, when he hums mmm and 1:10-1:11 'TA' in 'SAWAN KI GHATA'. It is not in original Rafi saab's song. But Balu adds these minute gamakams (harkathe) bring a new life to the song. I heard in all SPB's renditions he consistently intentionally did this. I don't know the grammar of the music. But I feel that SPB is the only one who justified this song very well compared to other singers like Javed Ali (ruclips.net/video/fJb4svsLZMg/видео.html) or Khalid Baig ( ruclips.net/video/wczPrrUUWC4/видео.html ). Jaya Rajagopalan jee sang very well too. She is lucky to have his blessing while singing. I felt so touched as if he touched me. SPB lives in hearts forever.
