    Hey Andre thank you so much for introducing me to the website, it is golden! The study guides are extremely informative and the practice test available makes the site worth wild . Two great features that appeal the most to me would have to be the interaction you can have with other members which gives you confidence knowing that you aren’t alone. The result center is also a key jewel because you can track your test results and history. Again , Thank You! Keep grinding brother !

    I took the ASVAB two years ago with little to no studying and got a 70. I’ll be re-taking it soon, and with some studying I’ll get an even higher score

      You don’t have to retake it at that score just find what job that interest you within that score 70 is great I’m sure there’s a job that you’ll love within that score go look at the list of jobs that you can get first and if there none that interest you then try to score higher

    You know another good tactic I used for the asvab, is to look at the score you NEED for the rate you WANT. I am gonna be Damage Control. So the FOCUS for that rate was, shop and automotive. I didn’t bother studying science, or electrical.
    So just kill it on the math and English and the subjects you need for the specific rate. I haven’t studied math since I was 18 (im 23) now. And I got a 81 as my score. The meat and potatoes of the test is math/reading comp/word knowledge.

      JD MD what did you use to study the math

    • @MooMoo69556

      Richard I bought the 2017 edition of the asvab. The Kaplan edition.
      Another good math tip is to focus on the steps and formula, not the numbers. I had a hard time with fractions and remembering the difference between add/subtract/divide/multiply.
      With add/sub, you make sure the bottom number is the same, once it is you just add the top number across.
      With multiplication you just multiply top n bottom #s straight across and reduce.
      With division you flip over the 2nd fraction and then multiply across.
      Practice memorizing those steps and bam fractions won’t b a problem no matter what # they put in there

    • @Richard-cg5sv

      JD MD yeah but on arithmetic reason they don’t simply tell you to add/multiply /subtract etc ... you gotta figure it out which throws me off

    • @MooMoo69556
      @MooMoo69556 6 лет назад

      Richard I know that use to throw me off too lol. Just remember the steps. I suck at algebra hardcore. But that’s what my professor told me to learn it and that’s the best tip I’ve ever gotten. Just memorize the formula and steps. Even if u gotta put letters instead of #s and just keep writing down the steps. It’ll make it hella easier.

    Totally a duplicate of my entrance into the Military. Low scores. Not eligible for my preference jobs. Only difference is I didn't retake the ASVAB. Hindsight I extremely regret not doing so. Good info. Thanks for sharing.

      That's a great score but always exceed expectations and go above and beyond. It certainly doesn't hurt you to get a higher score. It only benefits you.
