I lived in Portsmouth for 13 years and worked there for a year before that (plus holidays and visits for countless years) and I never knew this took place!! How long has it been going on? King Billy!! Where are the flutes?
Been going on for decades, usually first Sunday in September. Not been a flute band on the march for many years, was meant to be one from Ulster this year but unfortunately they had to pull out to clash of commitments
@@BOATSkeepcoming youtube keeps deleting my comments, though I'd watch an orange parade without bands, an unpopular view held but I do know why they parade

@@Votebritish True, but like in donegal and such places without bands, I'd still watch them either way, I didn't mean to make it sound like I was knocking the band, they are fantastic.
@@Parker_Douglas I don't think the band is from here, at least I've never heard them. Should be one though as there are plenty of ex military down here being a navy town.

I’m Scottish & we celebrate the Orange Walk every year in Scotland, it’s not an Irish tradition it’s a Scottish/NI tradition .
Get ya self back 😂😂😂😂fgau
So proud
Govan loyalist, been here since 1999 didnt know we had this down here. Be there next year.
Usually first Sunday in September but keep an eye out on the Portsmouth lodge page.
When a band from Govan , Scotland , played recently this year in London & also up the river Thames why didn’t Portsmouth join them.?
