Gosh, that's a hard question to answer, but I probably agree with you. Not because he didn't do it well, not because it wasn't the right sing, but because I think he felt he should do it on a certain way and that way wasn't him. I think he would have knocked it out the park with the vocals on it if he had felt less pressured to please Alanís.
This is one of my favourites because he was so happy to be back in Hawaii and we could feel it.
I agree. I think it had too much instrumentation in it. I think it should have been stripped down to him and the guitar.
@@nancy9891 Yes, that too, although he can certainly go big and there can certainly be big instrumentation behind him, but first there had to be Iam doing Iam and not Iam doing someone else.

I love all his songs. If you listen to a The Guardian by Alanis then listen to Iams. It's like a different song. Hers is loud and his sung beautifully with emotion.
