Lived in Oceanside California from 97 to 2000 from Massachusetts. Anyways me and my beautiful fun ex girlfriend from Minnesota would drive to Julian alot. We loved the drive and then we drank at a little dive bar. One of the best nights of my life. Me and my lady friend were so drunk we slept in my car till 5am :) I loved Julian and Sarah :) One of my best friends ever !!!
Love this! If I wasn't over 2,000 miles away I would be a frequent visitor. My first stop would be the Mining company - I have always yearned to find treasure. Then I would hit up Warm Hearts, Julian Mercantile, and any other fun shopping meccas, and shop til I drop. I would kill for a Julian Pie! (Right now. I want one right now 🥧). One day I would eat at Julian Grill because their porch dining looks so inviting.. the next day, the Julian Beer Co. I don't drink, but looking at that slow smoked BBQ food made me hungry. .. My son lives in San Diego, and he is going to spend Thanksgiving in Julian, which is how I heard of it. He is going to love it! 😊
@@bakewithheena996 We have 4 seasons for sure. We get some snow in the winter months. Spring is very mild. Fall has many mild days, but coooool nights. Summers can be quite warm.
It would have been nice to mention that Coleman, the man who discovered gold and put Julian on the map, was a freed slave. It’s a small detail that was completely left out of your video.
Thank you Sherria for letting us know. I think you should make a rack card about this for the Visitor's Center to have for the public to take. Francoise
Also a great road to get killed on a motorcycle. Not to be a downer, but I’ve never seen too many bodybags than on this road to Julian for foolhardy motorcyclists…
Lake Cuyamaca cafe is THE place to buy apple pie. It hits just right. I've tried Mom's Apple Pie's and Julian Apple Pie Company. Neither place has anything on the apple pies sold for just under 30$. To me it's always worth the money spent driving there as well as the money for the pie. I will always happily skip right on past Mom's and Julian for Lake Cuyamaca. Their apple pies come in regular / plain top and crumble top. My favorite is the regular / plain top. If you disagree well then we must have different tastes. (of course) In the end is that not what makes for so many carried foods all around the world? Yes!
This is really cool! Was checking out google maps and realize there is so much to explore around where this video is made. What is one of the most unique places you have visited? Subscribing! Do travel along with us on our channel too!
I so much prefer what they showed here; I would be interested in the shops, mining for gold, food places, pies.. what you call "fluff". Would not be interested in boats or camping.
Visited here in 1998 from Ireland 🇮🇪 loved it .
I’ve never been so proud to have been raised here in Julian.
I went about 3 weeks ago. Great place to visit. Nice video.
What a wonderful video/tour! Thank you so much!
I visited Julian a few years ago, I would love to go back!

The granny in the beginning went over Coleman but didn’t mention he was an ex-slave.
I grew up in julian
Julian is also known for some of the best twisty roads near SD! Perfect for motorcycle rides!
also some of the deadliest..
@@gabrielleohley811 Are they really bad? Is it super scary?
@@EducationalRoots I have a full driving video on my channel. Los Angeles to Julian. Check it out.

It's my show motto, no matter what age, go for it!

Too much fluff, would have been nice if you showed more about the boats and cabins and camping grounds.
Hi RP, there was so much to see and do...I didn't us anything for fluff. I wanted it balanced for the community not just one place. Francoise

Also your sponsors have nothing to do with Julian California.
We'll RP, these shows are not free to make.......any suggestions?
