@@DarthOpinion This one is absolutely full of autotune I'm afraid. Just listen to how pure the melody is. It's unnaturally robotic. I'm not complaining by the way, I love The 1975. They use it to make the performance more consistent and it sounds great.
MOODFOX as a singer this song is fucking HARD to sing especially with the amount of straining and emotion he puts on it I would put auto tune on it if I was a singer lmao
MOODFOX Yeah he uses some of it. But it’s far from like travis scott level. And the shouting notes are really hard to sing. Im quite a trained singer myself and even with alot of practice this remains hard.
Playing drums in that heat will have you looking miserable especially if you hit the drums as hard as George hits them. He does not have a light touch so my boy is workin' up there.
As the others said.......he's just in the ZONE. That's all. He's not worrying about how he looks lol. Also.....George kinda ALWAYS looks like that when playing live. He just gets deep into it. :)
@@jaycobbina9529 You misunderstood. I love the juxtaposition Matty created with these shows and the imagery. I’m a massive fan. I wasn’t at all trying to virtue signal here. I was commenting on the beauty of the paradox.
FlexGC ha ha. I didn’t notice that. He went to hit that cymbal at the end of the song and if flew off it he missed it. You see him and his tech rushing to fix it.
it must be a very difficult song for him to perform, it's essentially about the dissolution of society and how awful most of it has become and is continuing to be. the title itself, 'love it if we made it', im pretty sure it wouldn't be completely off-base to interpret it as a plea of some type. that's what it's always sounded like to me, like he's expressing a true wish that we all survive this half-decent. i have no idea how he manages to perform it live, especially with the emotions it must clearly bring up for him (unless that's all a performance, but i doubt it is, he seems to be a pretty authentic dude nowadays.). i can't speak for him though and i dont know his experience. i just think it's funny how there's so many people in the comments confused about why he withdraws (so-to-speak) when they play this song live.
ah yes, my favorite cowboy
Dave Gahan in Personal Jesus with Depeche Mode that was a video

one of the most powerful opening lyrics written. Even more so when he sings it live.
i get the opening but i think this song has the most powerful moment of music history with "I MOVED ON HER LIKE A BITCH"
That shirt is everything....
The boy has style for ages....
This performance made me a The 1975 fan, they were absolutely smashing
Love my boys passion so much!!!! Total lyrical genius
Always
wow he sounds just so good
There's a lot of autotune in his live performances. His voice is more suited to the studio I think so they bulk him up live.
MOODFOX The autotune is not alot. This kind of singing still requires an incredible amount of skill. Its really hard to sing these shouting notes

And damn - George Bedford Daniel 🔥‼️
I love so fucking much this incredible band
YES YES YES
Yeah me to!
1:27 he's really feeling it.
Jks, he felt it the whole song.
i want to hug george, he looks like he's having a bad day

That would be natural drum face mixed with concentration. My drum/guitar face is fucking horrendous when I'm concentrating on what I'm playing.

No, it's his normal expression playing drums 🙃
2:35 - 3:25 uhhhh that moment

i thought it said "lil nas x - love it if we made it" in the title...
Nothing like watching a phantasmagoria of violent images while 2 women dance with smiles on their faces to pop music.
They are entertaining a crowd ....regardless of the song....

George worked so damn hard only to be let down by his last cymbal hit not wanting to make a sound :(
FlexGC ha ha. I didn’t notice that. He went to hit that cymbal at the end of the song and if flew off it he missed it. You see him and his tech rushing to fix it.
It sounded so weak hahah
Just a very entertaining group
Sheriff Andy is that u

So fucking raw ghad. Fuckkkkkkk
He looks like he'd be Joe Exotics next husband.
Could do without the vocal loop
Not to shamelessly objectify them, but can we talk about George's BODY? Where did that come from?!
Michael Watkins heaven blessed us
GEORGE
Toy story here we go.
Ow George going bald is so hard to withstand... Time flies, babe. Still cute af though.
The wonderful whiskey cephalometrically stroke because cathedral interestingly license until a callous eel. nice, unusual cappelletti
